@@PSTAAssociation-pc1olthe updated audacity took that long list of effects as just condensed them into categories. Reverb would be under effect > delay and reverb > and then reverb
Not bad at all. I've been a musician (of sorts) for many years, but had gotten out of practice, what with the slings and arrows of daily life. Now, thanks to the current Covid-19 lockdown, I've gone back to my "first love" and wanted to make some recordings. I've played with Audacity before, with limited results. This has given me some ideas on how to proceed from here. I need to replace my microphone with a better one, but in the meantime, I can make the best of what I have. Thanks.
Great tutorial Bro! , everything was easy to follow up here but i wanna learn the nuances of audio editing like what does particular slider in normalization or compressor setting do , when and why to use these settings, guide me if you know how i can get there.
I'm just starting to learn how to record music on adacity, but my USB mic shuts off when I'm trying to record over a beat. Mybe theres something I'm doing wrong?
In Audacity 2.3.3+, the Equalization effect has been replaced by two new effects: Filter Curve: An FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) filter, similar to "Draw" mode in the old Equalization effect. Graphic EQ: A graphic equalizer, similar to the "Graphic" mode in the old Equalization effect. The old Equalization effect is no longer available. Note that in the new effects, the preset curves are now accessed via the "Manage" button, in "Factory Presets".
Him: *singing* Auto Generated captions: robert you come better theta but you come to my resume put in a year something methyl that it over me and took a you better clean up but you keep puttin you something [Music] so did i [Music]
Thanks. This helped me. Also, I had English subtitles on and when you sung in your language the auto-generated subtitles tried to guess the words as if it was in English haha.Great video.
@@Techunter Bro, understand! reacting to your audience in such a way is inappropriate. They are not abusing you, they are giving you their suggestions which might help you in future. I am hoping that you have open this channel for longer run, in such cases please don't react, always respond. Peace.
I have a voice lesson in my channel you can visit if you like to improve your singing skills and voice quality. I give vocal exercises in my video too where you can follow and do to improve your singing voice bro.
Hello there, Sir! I am actually planning on covering songs since I've got the equipment now. Thank you for your informative and clear tutorial! I'll update you soon with my results. Stay awesome! Stay blessed!~ ♥
trust me you're not as bad as me. i bought studio equipment and yet nothing. Just watching youtube tutorials trying to save myself the embarrassment but i'm gonna have to get over my foolishness LMAO
I don't know why but when I use Audacity recording my singing with a music, it just doesn't sound right. it doesn't matter I sing in tune or sing in temple, even I sing all correctly I always feel like my voice and the music are in the different dimension.
Make sure that both tracks are the same, or mono or stereo. Both need to be the same. You can select each individualy for mono or stereo up at 'tracks' or select both tracks together go to 'tracks' and made both mono or stereo. Also, when you finish get some effects to the two tracks, say, revert, echo, and so forth like he shows.
Bro I have an problem, after doing all the steps there is only one problem, the singing and the music don't fit, it don't sound much pleasant. What should I do to mix music and singing fabulously ? Please help.
Nah not on audacity, you would have to upgrade to a better software, like FL studios. Audacity is good for beginners but if you want to take it serious you would have to upgrade
@@bestlife9627 You cannot make the changes after the file has been saved. That;s way you always need to save the work as a project before saving it as a file. You can always later open the project saved and make whatever changes to it, but never cand do that to the file after saved as such. Cheers and keep safe.
I wanna say thank you so much for this, ive been looking all over the internet for plug ins and voice effects but its all actually here XD thank youuuu!!!
I think everyone should speak us english like us people. And it was my starting tutorial. I try to keep it up. You should watch my new tutorial. And thanks for complements.
Thank you so much for this.. I have been looking for a tutorial on this until I met this great and beautiful tutorial. Thank you and you have a good voice.
WOW! You are such a great soul - I have never found anyone explained these recording tips so elaborately and in easy to follow steps. Very useful info! Just subscribed your channel.

Guys, a personal advice is to autotune before applying effects like reverb or echo. Applying it afterwards can cause the plugin to glitch or tune you incorrectly, especially if the reverb or echo are more dramatic than the ones used in this tutorial.
Why do you record the vocals on a stero track? I thought that vocals were recorded on a mono track. Thanks. Also, which version of Audacity is this one? I have 3.3.3.
I'm not a professional singer and i don't upload music video in my channel. So, I'm sorry. Singing is just a part of hobby. So I upload this type of video in my facebook.
How about an effing mike for clarity to understand what the Hell you're saying? There is no Mike or Audacity setting that's going to fix your command of the pronunciation of the English language. Problem 1. And ENGLISH IS MY SECOND LANGUAGE!
Video seems very helpful.. the only feedback i would give you is try speaking in regular indian accent and be proud rather than faking it for the sake of others... you'll do wonders i believe if you were to take my feedback in a positive way..
