This is a great lesson, but I couldn't have been the only one laughing at him transitioning back and forth from the high pitched voice to the deep one 😂

Doesn't matter how you sing it , if you don't bring real passion you can't hold that job. And you can only sing a blues that moves you. To the black bluesman, the guitar was first a platform created to support the melody of the tune. To sing the blues, you must hit the melody notes of each particular blues, and all the classic blues numbers have unique melodies that you must nail with meaning and passion. No passion, no Blues. I rest my case.
Dorian is a good place for blues mate or just minor pentatonic look for the chord tones that aren't in the pentatonic and play them over the chords they are in and your essentially doing mixolidian
I was about to try to hate on you but a little over halfway, I thought, "I think this dude just showed me the actual difference between head & chest voice." I'm a high chest voice singer & couldn't conceive my head voice for some reason. I've even watched about 7-9 vids on it. You did it with one sentence. "Put the sound back in the throat, not in the chest..."
It depends. Lennon was professional but made music raw. Try Mother or God songs. You will see. Recorded on the first try. Oposite to McCartney. Definitely.
If you don't have the soul to it you can use as many techniques you want you won't sing the blues. And you have no blues soul. Besides you picked a terrible song
