This is one of the cleanest ways I have seen to siphon gas. You don't ever have to put your mouth on a hose that has been used for gas. You don't have to buy any type of pump. It's a cheap easy way to siphon.

I am junking a car with almost a full tank and had no intention of trying to suck it out. Glad there is options for people who need to do it for honest reasons.

Looks simple for a 70s pickup. But I have a 91 Acura sitting with a full tank. With skyrocketing fuel prices. I truely want to siphon it out.. Happy to read that i am not the only one with this idea in these times. 😊
@@turduckengaming1594 So far so good. But the only real thing I've needed to refill on my car so far is my wiper fluid... but I do actually keep two hoses in my car for this reason. JUST IN CASE.
This is useful if you've ever had a vehicle sitting with stale gas inside that you don't want to burn off, possibly damaging the engine. There are legal reasons to siphon gas lol.

Car breathed it's last breath in the driveway. Had 3/4 tank. They don't need gas to tow it, but the truck needs gas. Thank you for this amazing "how-to" vid. ❤️
Worked great! Thanks for the video. For those that say it doesn't work, blow in the long hose and make sure you hear bubbles. Then when you blow in the small one it should feel like you are filling the tank with air, and not flowing freely
Hi how long should a hose be for apocalyptic scenario for all vehicles? Amazon sells most for 30cm (like 12 inches) is that enough for the bottom of the tank?

Never fails, just did an oil change and put a full tank of gas in to have the AC pump and serpentine belt go. Not worth fixing but I want my $80 of gas back lol. I'll give this a shot!
This saved my ass today because I only had a 2 foot hose. Thank you. To anybody else doing this, it's important that you get a good seal with the rag around the hoses. Depending on the rag you may want to put it between the hoses as well as around the opening.
***** the purpose of the rag is to cover any cracks to where the air can escape so it doesn't come out of any of the cracks when you're blowing in the tube...
Amazing! Gonna try it now! Our car was deemed totaled and we had just filled up the tank. ($72!) All of this comes at bad timing so trying to do what we can to make the situation less of a financial bummer.
Needed to get gas out of a dead riding lawn mower, set this up and thought this isn't working. Started taking the tube out of the gas can and realized that gas actually was being siphoned out of the lawn mower. Worked first try with almost no effort. Thanks for the info!!!!

Not just did I not figure it out...but my dad...his dad... uncles... exhusbands/bf's...friends... I'm going to be the best "gas syphinor" in my whole family... (Just hoping someone runs out...or is real low over the Fourth...lol GREAT HACK/TIP😁😁😁
This worked really well just be careful. When I did it, after I blew into the hose a bunch of gas vapor blew back into my mouth. So I would suggest not stopping blowing until the hose is out of your mouth. Also plug your finger over the hose as fast as you can after taking it out of your mouth.

I just looked up how to siphon gas without your mouth on Google and found this lol My cars low on gas and my other cars have full tanks but one needs a new head gasket and the other failed emissions so I needed to take the gas out lol Thanks man. Made me feel a little stupid lol Thank you
OMG!!! That is brilliant! Thank You. My car's going to the wreckers on a tow truck and I have over half a tank of petrol in it. At $2.30 a litre, it's going straight to my daughters car now at least. xoxo

Very cool! I wish I had known this many years ago! My Ford Stranger pickup had a 'siphon stopper' inside the gas tank that keeps from putting a hose in.
You just saved me like 8 bucks dude! I was looking for a way to syphon my alcohol into a secondary container with just the tube. I thought I was going to have to buy a whole new special syphoning hose with the automatic syphoning piece! :D thank you!
