@gilfhound69 I mean most japanese don't even know the rules or act that precise for every little thing. This video teaches you something new, but the question is the necessity.
@@Sagexy no one's rushing you, just do it at you own pace. as long as you know the basics you're fine. it's not like japanese people expect foreigners to know every little thing.
me watching all the kimono videos and feeling the urge to take notes, while defo not able to afford a) an authentic kimono, and b) a trip to japan 😭😂 still interesting content tho!!!
why are there so many rules for these things? I am not capable of being in one position while sitting for even one minute. Masive respect for people who can handle those rules
Japan is a conservative and culturally traditional country, while most people won't mind if you break a few rules or so old people might give you a stare
@@introspectivetonysoprano there’s a difference. And with how traditionally conservative I don’t think it’s more respect but keeping the norm alive even if it’s very frowned upon. Japan is a country that value’s hierarchy’s.
Ah, the good old mathematically correct way to sit. The exact same way of sitting was taught in europe in the 19th anf 20th ce (it may have been importet from japan, I don't know that). And we didn't even have an elaborate bow on our back that needed protection. We just... sat uncomfortably to look more propper.
ehhh I don't think it would be very good considering you gotta take deep breaths, I would imagine it's hard to take a full deep breath in one of those things 😂
It's a type of taiko drum and is played with wooden baton-esk sticks called bachi. The drum heads are traditionally made with animal skin and tied with rope.
You know what isn't elegant? Those weird ignorant racist comments some privileged white posts when they are "weirded out" by cultures that do not conform to their myopic narrative.
okay but have you seen kimonomom doing Yoga in Kimono? Maybe it‘s time to shed the conservative rules and just enjoy/love and respect the kimono. don‘t make yourself wearing a prison.
