I'm an old Cajun down here in SE Louisiana and have been cleaning fish since I was a little boy. It is refreshing to see a young man clean fish so well! This is quite impressive that a young kid can fillet a catfish this good...don't watch if all Our gonna do is criticize. Tonight I am just looking at things that interest me and I stumbled across this video. I thought I would watch this young man and I am impressed. This kind of thing was my life growing up and it caught my eye. I am now waiting to teach my grandson a few things that I might have forgot to teach his Dad (LOL). This young man did an excellent job and he described every step as well as the use of his tools so that anyone could understand. The final outcome was that it is ready for the skillet. I just happen to look at the date of 2015 and it is now 2021 and I hope the young man knows his video is still touching people. He probably has a TV show now ☺. Anyway, I just wanted to say that this sure did make an old guy feel good to see a young man giving good instructions for anybody to learn how to do it.

good job young man! i usually put a large nail thru the head so i can nail the cat to a tree, then i use vise grips to rip the skin.finally fry mr.wiskers in oil,then wrap a tortilla around him,and smother in salsa.....mwa,delicious!again,good job!😎

I have to say, I love this kid!!! I have watched many videos on here about how to clean, and filet catfish. And I have badly butchered many nice catfish in the process, too many times! When it first started, and I seen it was a kid, I thought great! I'm not going to get the info I need to understand, what I need to do, yet again! But, decided to watch it anyway, after all, he is a very cute kid/young man. So very glad I did!!! He made it look so simple, he explained every detail. And went slow enough for me to keep up, as I filleted my 2 catfish along with him! And at the end I have 4 beautifully done catfish fillets! I am beyond impressed with his knowledge of what to do, and especially with his ability to explain it, in a way that I was able to follow along, and understand every detail of what I needed to do. Now I need to see his other videos! Hope he has some on Bass cleaning. As well as crappy,and bluegill cleaning. Great job man, I am now a loyal subscribed viewer of your videos! You absolutely rock! Best explanation for the process, I have see so far! 5 ***** stars little man!

Hey, just want to say how much I appreciate this video, especially presented by such a sharp young man. I'm an old guy and I've been fishing off and on for my whole life, but the best times were when I was a youngster and my grandfather taught me most of what I know. And one thing he taught me was how to clean a catfish. He grew up during the Great Depression, and he knew how to not waste a bit, and he did it just exactly the way Adrian does. Sure, you could do it faster (how to clean a catfish in 15 seconds video, for example) but for me, that disrespects the sacrifice of the fish, and makes one just another consumer and the fish just another product. Adrian, without saying it, shows a deep respect for the fish, and I really appreciate that. Thank you!

Excellent video young man! Thank you for showing me a different way to fillet a catfish. For me I always remove the lateral line, the blood line, even though it separates the fillet, it will make certain there is no unpleasant taste to the meat.

that was one of the best demo's that I have ever seen about filleting a Catfish, and I'm 60 years old. No one showed me how to do when I was a kid, Now I wish they had, I would have kept fishing more and ate what I caught.

Great job young man. Been fishing and cleaning my own for almost 60 years and still love it to this day. In a couple days going to cook up a mess of catfish. I cook up a mess of catfish at least once a week. Hope you many more years of fishing adventures. Have fun.
