This was really helpful - JJ now goes live 1-2 times per week and we have noticed an increase in engagement and followers. It's also great talking to fans and supporters. We have not yet set up Merchandise store as there are followers in different countries and we don't want shipping to be a problem. Do you have advice on that area? On demand type merchandise etc. Thank you (This is JJ's dad)
Excellent post, Mari. The real power and value of your content here are the counter-intuitive ideas. Thanks so much! I hope this video is on FB so I can share it and maybe even host a Watch Party. ;)
Very well structured video and easy to understand even if I'm not native speaker. (big bonus) I will try to implement those tips and see what happens. I will let you know if they helped me. Thank you.
Mari, really amazing video, do you feel the same principles apply to increase organic reach on your personal page? I know you cannot throw money at posts on your personal page, but I have found organic reach much more effective by using my personal page in the past. Thanks
Thanks for watching, Herb! The same general principles hold true for your personal profile. I have heard of many others who see more meaningful interaction with there personal profiles, but Facebook is always tweaking their algorithms, so it is always good to test. -Mitch
Recommendations are great! But I’ve audited a lot of pages, many which follow the 70-20-10 rule and they suffer from the same organic reach problems. I think there’s something more that we are missing with regards to the algorithm.
im not sure whats good reach? no info i can find on actual numbers and what to do with them? i have written an import export course that on my 1st fb ad got over 14000 views and 1400+ engagments but no sales. is that good? how do i make $ off the traffic now? the course price no doubt scared people off at $299 for pdf digtal course of 85 pages so what would you do? I have 15 years in the impex biz and knwo that my info has value to many people but i dont know how to sell it withoit scaring the buyers off with the $. i can lowr it but to what and if i do it cheapens the data i took 15 years to learn.
First thing is "what is good" varies greatly, and depends largely on what you're trying to accomplish. Numbers / vanity metrics don't mean much -- it's what you do with those who are engaging that matters. Be more concerned with the quality than the quantity. We can't really help with your pricing, etc. Set a goal (sales, etc?), and then work incrementally towards that by helping and engaging with your community. -Megan🤓
Hi Vishva- Did you go through the listed resources on the post? There's a wealth of info there!! Also, here's a resource right from Facebook on hashtagging. facebook.com/facebookmedia/blog/using-hashtags-on-facebook Best of luck! -Megan🤓
Hi Amelie! As Mari alluded to here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tncM7lzoZdk.html, there are a number of avenues for you to share your unique post url to get more people to see and engage with your post. A few channels you can leverage are email, messenger, and your website. Good Luck -Mitch
Social media examiner team, please help me on this: Facebook is not able to read my website URL as it says it goes against Facebook rights. I have not done anything wrong. How can I improve it. I have tried everything. I need your help SME TEAM. #SME #SMETEAM
@@MariSmithVideos thanks for suggesting. But as I already mentioned I have tried all the things out there, I have filled the form. I had given them the feedback everything I did. But still I did not get any response. I really need help.
The best thing you can do is to follow Mari's instructions and wait. Sometimes a live chat is available on this page: facebook.com/business/help , but you are probably better off starting a new account (using a different credit card). Sorry, probably not the news you wanted, but unfortunately that is all we can suggest. Good Luck! -Mitch
I really feel that Facebook is a platform for a particular type of content. I have tried for years to get engagement but it's a waste of time. LinkedIn much better for our kind of content. Credit, Data, Economic trends.. not something your average FB user would engage with here.
Hi Gary! I am just following up to see if have had much luck on Facebook, or if you are still focusing your efforts on LinkedIn. I agree with you that LI seems like a good fit for your content, but I was just curious. Hope life and business are going well. -Mitch
@@SocialMediaExaminer We haven't completely counted FB out, but Twitter and LinkedIn are where we are seeing results. For small business content (how to build strong credit, best practices, live interviews with small business experts) I think it would make sense to still focus effort on FB. For large corporate, LinkedIn. What I learned is, just because there are billions of users, doesn't mean they will engage with your content if they are there for something else.
Another thing I have found that has helped organic reach is if the post is regarding someone's Facebook profile, Facebook page, or event - make sure to tag them in the post! This will reach people outside of your business page. As you might recall in your personal Facebook feed; for example, John Doe was tagged in Company ABC's post.
Hey Jonathan- We edit all of the Social Media Examiner videos in Adobe Premiere Pro, and do all of our animations with Adobe AfterEffects. Thanks for the feedback!:) -Megan🤓
Please, I have a question. Would it be good for me to reply to my audience comments on my post. Because my Page is a Gospel one, so sometimes I post Prayers and they reply with Amen.... Do you think I should give such a comment a Reply? Thank you
Thank you, Anita! Generally, most recommend against sharing RU-vid video links directly on Facebook, but like Mari said, experiment! You never know what might work... -Mitch
I 100% agree with Mari on this. I get great results by sharing my RU-vid videos directly to Facebook. I have personally run tests over several months and found that the CTR is much higher when you share directly.
Shyness on video is something some people absolutely have difficulty with. Many people get through it via practice, practice, practice! But, also, the videos don't necessarily have to be you on camera. -Megan🤓
