The radial full and nano cubic shapes are great for slappy's. They have the rounded outside edge and it covers the axel nut, so you aren't bashing it too much.

i'm pretty comfortable getting into them, just hesitant to hit with enough speed to get good distance. sometimes i just go like i would for a noseslide and kinda pop into crook
@Inexpressable
@Inexpressable 4 месяца назад
i can do them on my near vertical curb here in england, but i struggle to pop out or even roll away. super fun though, really feels like a video game trick with the way it just locks in.

I'm an idiot and completely forgot to address getting out of them. At first I would just come out to fakie. It's the easiest way to kinda fall out of it
@Inexpressable
@Inexpressable 4 месяца назад
@@stickersteve007 yeah i've basically fell out of it into fakie once, a good way to describe it lol. how does popping out of it work - does the rebound from the truck kind of lift the board? or does my back foot kind of need to do a nollie?
@stickersteve007
@stickersteve007 4 месяца назад
@@Inexpressable it's like a quick lil dip/nollie. rebound of the bushing's if that makes sense. im still workin on that myself

My problem is geting out from the grind. I've been struckling with that alot. Getting in to the grind goes well but can't land it. And now waiting my rolled ankle to heal. Greetings from still snowy Finland. 😄

Maybe try it at first in multiple steps, 1st just push the board down with back foot down, 2nd move the front straight from the curb. After bit of practicing you will be able to optimize this movement to finally make it in one smooth motion without that tictac and touching the ground too early.

Love how the footing is shown. Also am enjoying the edit. Helpful info to on the wheels. Lastly putting pressure on the front foot and balancing on it is going to take some work for me. I tried doing it stationary like shown in the last vid and my right leg took some getting used to it.

Try and find a painted curb. Or put some lacquer on a bare one. Some wax and some speed and you'll break it in in no time
