As someone who works in casting (In Canada so I'm not speaking for all) this isn't really accurate info. For Commercials - Name and Height. Please don't do the profiles that he says they "certainly" want. We do not. We have a lot of tapes to get through and this unnecessary move from novice actors makes them all longer and we scrub the tape to skip. Also - a "local" hire is not about them putting you up or not (although that factors in) - its all about where you pay taxes. For example, if you are in Toronto and pay taxes there you cannot work as a locale hire in Montreal because you do not pay taxes there and there are specific tax credits they need to get by hiring local.
If slate asks only name, last name & hight, do we personalize it or not? It doesn't even ask role & what he's reading for. We are in MA/RI area. Does Broadway or vocals differ?

Having a Slate could be an educational experience for the Student/s as they may not know what it is, several public colleges don't get into how to cast, how to audition, or these basic steps. So if the students ask about the slate it is a good opportunity to provide some knowledge and how to improve their filmmaking for the future.
when I get auditions for actors access they simply say to state your name, height, and location. Should I stand from side to side to give them a profile as well?
