Man, you guys created the ultimate lesson on how to hit a shuttlecock not just a smash. Thank you very much, and yes I will watch it several times. 10,000 times.
this is what i call a complete video ,plus it got the translation in it and coach Han in action,i really miss to see him in action, love you coach.and not forgetting the recording crew for the hard work you guys rock
Excellent Video, complemented by good videography and editing skills. All points explained clearly, preparation, grip, position, power and common mistakes in these. Thankyou coach and the team.
this video production level is totally unlike all others I've watched about Badminton. I can totally feel the power and adrenaline rush making me practice my swing with full force while watching in 0.25x slow motion. Thank you Master Han for this awesome smash tutorial. By the way, do we really gain any advantage by shouting at the point of impact?
That's a fun question. I've seen a TV documentary about it too. In fact, it is said that if you shout, you will instantly become stronger. Shout~~~ hahaha
I'm not a professional player but you could condition your opponent into thinking you will smash when you shout and surprise them with a concealed dropshot (the sound of the softer hit is masked)?
The visual beauty of this content is greatly contributed by producer Park. He often filmed on the 'Full Swing' team, and that was about three years ago. If there is a pretty screen in our channel videos, it is the work of producer Park. Badminton is not a very popular sport in Korea. So there are very few professional badminton video directors. Producer Park is probably the best in Korea. how about your Country?
One of the BEST smash videos I have seen. Clear, concise, well demonstrated and excellent highlight of all the key points! Coach Ham, you are a SUPERB coach! Congratulations to you and your video edit team for such wonderful effects on each movement! I have learnt a lot. 👌👏👏👏
Damn 🤯 thank you... I'll straight away practice this on court today will get a hang of it.. 🙏🙏 and as seeing this video I kind of know now. There's problem in my preparation for smash.. Thank you 🌹🌹 .. And looking forward to more videos like these ( forehead drive from above the chest and below it).. 🙏🙏
right. Not looking at your own racquet is like closing your eyes and spooning. (You can't just imitate pro players.) This video will help you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AnY8XADiGZU.html
Great, excellent, wonderful! Farther than expectations and imagination. The video is very short but the content is very comprehensive, focused, briefly the most important points. The staging is also very professional, impressive, really a blockbuster movie in badminton. There is no word that can express gratitude to Master Han, because this video will be an invaluable knowledge for billions of badminton people around the world in the present and forever generations.
Dear Long Nguyen. I appoint you as the ambassador for 'Full Swing'. Send the link to this video to your friends. No matter how good a video is, if it is not selected by the RU-vid algorithm, this video will be forgotten. I believe in you. Don't monopolize the video alone. ha ha ha :-) + Did you change the word, teacher to master? You are a thoughtful friend. good.
@@full-swing In my thoughts, my feelings, you are not only a teacher, but also my Master, my relative who I am always respectful and grateful. Always wish Master Han health and peace. One of many Master Han's student from Vietnam. Love you!
Thanks for the comment. As you said, this video will be a big turning point for our team as well. No matter how hard I try to translate, it is difficult to convey my thoughts through text. So, we are looking for ways to reduce text and voice to a minimum and communicate with you. Because sports are fair to everyone. So that everyone in the world can feel the same emotions. I will try :-) If you have time, I would appreciate it if you could watch the video a few more times. ha ha ha.
Thank you very much. Thanks, I corrected the title. Can you tell me some other badminton terms? Drive, hairpin, clear, backhand clear, drop shot, etc... Please tell me. really need it :-)
Thank you. Your donation will be used to create video content. While creating video content, I thought a lot about the limitations of language. That's why I often plan to create content like this. A video that transcends the limits of language, anyone can see and judge fairly. I want to make a video without English subtitles someday.
Thank you. Indonesia, the country of badminton, speaks English well, right? Is that right? In this video, I tried to explain with only the screen, while reducing the audio and subtitles. Still, I was forced to write some English subtitles. I hope that there will be no inconvenience to my Indonesian friends.
@@full-swing yeah this is new. Brief, clear and really understandable, easy to digest. I aint good in english but I try, I learned a lot from your videos. Man I can't thank enough, especially to Mr. Han. What a coach.
@@full-swing the country of badminton, well said lol. we love badminton so much in here, even I play almost every day with my work colleagues in our office's court.
It took an effort to make about 10 videos just to make this video. It will be difficult to achieve this quality every time, but I will try to make a video as good as this, soon. Thank you.
2:32 the way he loose his grip and tightening it exactly when the racket's contact to the shuttle. I see the exact thing with praveen's smash in slow mo.
Thank you for this video, it is really helpful for studying on my own. Do you recommend practicing one of the ideas at a time? I have trouble specifically with the positioning (getting behind the bird enough), but I also want to work on pronation and other stuff too. Love the video style and editing, from Canada!
how about this? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GvvfZy5Xlyk.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zUr8Yq_GZ8w.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cUIAsNUbOZA.html
Thank you for video. 1:12 change grip - am I right that coach “opened” his wrist and not really “changed” grip? The grip is still the same but the wrist is turned outwards so the palm is facing away from him. Is this correct / could you explain why? Thank you.
when you set ready posture, Amateurs usually use a 'half grip'. This is a mid-range grip method with a quick transition between forehand and backhand. It means switch to the smash grip when you pull your shoulders back. In fact, coach Han does not change the forehand and backhand grips. However, since this video is for amateurs, I emphasized the grip change part.
@@full-swing thanks, I see. So that was just saying to have your hand lower down the racket handle for the smash? Instead of ‘half grip’ meaning middle of the handle like front/mid court play?
The grip method that is comfortable for smashing is different for each person. You have to find a way that is comfortable for you. And when you push your shoulders back, switch to the perfect grip you want. That's the perfect moment. Smash is not necessarily at a disadvantage if you hold the racquet short. In fact, there are many players who are good at playing from the back with a short grip. (ex. Japan, Watanabe)
Excellent video shooting, editing skills as well! Awesome content to understand the right way of powerful smashing ! You are inspiring. Love it! thank you !!
Beginner, Intermediate/Advanced Because the skill to stop the racket requires strong grip and perfect timing. As your skills improve, it will automatically change to a shorter and shorter swing. There is no need to deliberately practice with short swings.
