I've had many questions on swapping out the FRONT tire for a solid tyre, and today I'm going to show you the step by step removal all the way through my secret to installing this new tubeless tire and a tip that you'll need to get it centered on the wheel. No need to now, but thanx. I was finally able to get the front tire on by standing on part of the rim and the tire, then using tire spoons to muscle the tire onto the front rim.

Your video was very helpful and I was able to perform the replacement without much trouble. I had the exact same pry bar in the video, along with 2 other long heavy duty flat head screwdrivers. I had tried previously to replace the tire without boiling but that along with the zip tie trick in the valve hole worked perfectly. Thanks!

I'm looking to replace my son's front tyre for his Xiaomi in the next few days when it arrives. I replaced the rear tyre today with this same rubber tyre and it took about 2 minutes - I only heated the tyre in a bucket with boiled kettle water. (Yes the front tyre punctured the same day that I had replaced the rear) I hope the front is as easy!! I like the note about the board to hold it while you do it. I only placed the rear tyre on some polystyrene board I had laying about.

Whoa! hat off to you! It took me almost an hour, and I finally gave up. I used thick spoons that worked in changing bicycle tires but not with this stubborn solid tires. I am waiting for tire lever tool spoon and will try again. Anyhow, thank you for sharing your demo and tips!!!

Thanks for your video Andi it really helped - it seemed like an impossible task and whilst I still don't know how I managed to do it, I did! The shops charge over $100 to change a tyre here and that's just too expensive for me as I use my scooter a lot and the tyres don't last long. Thanks again :)

Hey Andi, it's true that it is quite difficult to get the front solid tire onto the front rim. Took me more than a few hours, and I still haven't gotten the tire on yet. I live in NYC. So many videos only show the back rim tire being changed but not the front. Another video said boiling the tire, microwaving the tire, or trying to use grease or oil is quite dangerous and unnecessary. Suppose I don't have any zip ties, or a piece of wood with a hole in it? Then what? I have a GoTrax gxl v2 scooter, but hardly any videos talk about how to put the front solid tire onto the rim for that scooter.

It's my opinion that you need some tools and a zip tie to do this the easiest way. A board or some surface to put the rim down on is also very helpful. You can do it any way you choose, I'm simply showing the way I figured out how to do it and what worked for me. Best of luck!

Good video. However, while it's easy for you, it may not be the case for most people. Would still just get a scooter that has solid tire out of the box instead.

Hello Ajay. It's a bit bumpier than it used to be, but I added a front shock that's been really useful. I'm just finishing up that video and install so I'll share it out when I'm done.

Just got a gopro 6 black and iam having a blast recording footage touring the countryside on my Emove Cruiser but i'm finding the learning curve rather steep. Hello, I use Adobe Premiere for editing; it's one of my favorite tools. I've never considered myself an expert enough to do a tutorial - I'm just a constant student who's always trying to up my game. I do tend to use 3 cameras to film my videos and do the the voiceover/soundtrack (and lower thirds) later. For this video, I used four cams that included a drone (mavic 2 zoom). I use an action cam, a gimbal camera, and a DSLR with a lens that has a 1.8 f stop (bokeh). I use a variety of holders including a manfrotto arm I really like. Takes me 4 times as long to film anything I'm doing than it would to just do the task. But I have so much fun in post doing all the editing and production. That's where Adobe Premiere (and after effects for graphics) comes into play. If you're interested, I can link to the devices I use to film these videos. I'll be honest, it takes me over 20 hours of production for a 5-6 minute short like this

I believe that model has non-pneumatic foam filled tires. What would your goal be in replacing those? But yes, they're 8.5 inches so it would be similar

I've not had that experience. When you wear down a normal tire, you get flat tires because you put a hole in your inner tube. Since there's no tube in solid tires, you get more life.

You can use soapy water to get an inner tube in a tire. Should help you out a little

You would likely have to disassemble the more of the scooter, but I believe most cables clip on to boards

Hey Kate! Tubeless tires never go flat. And when you have kids that aren't very careful at what they're running over, you tend to get flats with tube tires. So, putting tubeless tires on eliminates potential problems. Thanks for the compliment on the nails 🥰

You might need to boil them longer and then work quickly. They should be malleable after extensive heating

30 minutes should definitely do it. I mean, they're somewhat easier to handle, but not completely elastic. It's still a tougher process

If you haven't put solid tires on, then there's a valve stem in the middle of the wheel. Might be hard to see, but if you don't see the hole where the stem comes out, look for it on the left hand side of the wheel. If there's no stem, then the tube has shifted and you will have to work the tire off to get the stem back in place

The problems with some of these videos is that they make everything look easier than they really are. One guy in a GoTrax video even put the tire on with just his bare hands in less than 3 minutes. Really?? Why don't the videos just say how hard it really is to get the front solid tire onto the rim??
