As a heads up currently Firepower is bugged so for Warlock switch it out for Ember of Wonder and Reaper on the class item that way you make orbs after a kill with a weapon.
I love speedrunning this dungeon over and over again, so I'm glad you put together some information on running after the linear changes that happened with Lightfall. Thing is, when you start DPS on warlock are you ignoring harpies? Taking time to deal with harpies takes time away from the speedrun, but ignoring them prevents you from sniping Akelous with Cataclysmic in a well due to flinching. Kind of a crazy damage strategy I have for getting around this while speedrunning is to use a melee when done with eyes to get Radiant and moving forward while doing damage to ignore harpies. A Cataclysmic with fourth times will allow 10 shots and on my 10th shot I instead shoot an enemy on the side to reproc Radiant due to Rain of Fire, which also helps reload my weapons with an Icarus Dash since Weakened Clear is gone. I know it's way too much for a normal solo run, just don't want to deal with the harpies. I'm looking for a better way to deal with this situation so I don't have to do such a weird strategy. I suppose since you're focused on a solo run the time spent on harpies isn't a big deal which means you're likely dealing with them in some capacity. Anyway thanks for the help!
The first time I finished this in solo I used thundercrash titan witt cuirass and Ir Yuts song, I recommend this if you dont have a good trace rifle or a linear to break the eyes
8:45 at the end of Akelous dps phases, how are you able to stand still and not get booped off the map by the harpy knockback blast? Does being in the air do more knockback to you, so being on the ground keeps you on the map? Does being farther away from the center where the blast comes from knock you back less? Does it depend on how much damage you do during the dps phase, or how fast you take out the eyes?
Either take cover or stay really far away from him, you could drop into the catwalk thing and it protects you from the blast. I think you do receive a little knockback when you’re far away but it IS much less than standing next to him. DPS phase depends on how fast you break the eyes, if you take really long im pretty sure he yeets you away before he even makes it to the center.
Im just about to buy a carry for that whenever im at 15% he goes left bottom of damage plate and yeets me to the right no way to survive it not even with grapple as i get yeeted by bugs
One time i was half way through his health bar, i thought fuck it ive got a ton of ammo. So i shot a sleeper round at a minotaur, this mf shot rebounded and insta death and im pretty sure i rebounded twice before killing me.
I’ve resorted to my Taipan instead. It’s not as good as a bait n switch cataclysmic, but it works. Just need to be patient for this boss and not fall through a hole when you only have 1 damage phase left like I did last night 🙂
@@ItsNausicc Yeah, I ended up running it today with Sleeper just because it made the most sense. Was able to finish the boss faster today than I would have yesterday. Sleeper is just better.
That was just from DPS testing. I wanted to see different strats from hunter since I don't play hunter alot and wanted to make sure it was the highest dps
My problem with the solo flawless was the boss spawning underneath me and insta killing me. One attempt i hit the last node. Went to damage, saw him in the distance waiting. Then instead of coming flying towards me this mf pulls a fucking groundhog move and insta kills me. 😂
Did you concider rain of fire for the warlock. you can easaly have the hole damage phase raidiant so you dont need to stay in the well also your relode is faster that means sleeper would more interesting. also you have an exo with a good use and for the add clear damage prep you could still use nade spam with starfire.
