My F2l also takes long time. I can tell you an effective but slow method improving F2l. *You know there are so many cases in F2l. ∆ STEP 1- Select any case, see how it is solved. See on RU-vid. And repeat it on your cube. Note: don't try to recreate the case and then solve the case. Just do the solution of the case whenever you want. Not important to recreate case and then solve using the certain algorithm. DO IT ON YOUR CUBE AFTER SOLVED STATE. ∆ STEP 2 - Then when you completely remember or understand the algorithm of the Particular case, Then ∆ STEP 3 - TRY TO DO IT WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED. WHEN YOU CAN DO IT WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED, ∆ STEP 4 - JUST TRY TO DO IT A BiT FASTER THAN YOU USUALLY DO. NOW YOU HAVE COMPLETELY GOT A CASE. Remember for every case there is an algorithm. It is advance F2L (not completely but it the basic and most time taking part of advance F2l). Go forward and give it a try. Do do for multiple cases at same time. Master one case then go for another. This is a very slow and time taking process. I used to avg F2l around 50 sec. Now after 1 month i avg around 14 sec. I am not using LOOK AHEAD.
I have learnt the full beginner cube solving but if my brother scramble it for long time I will come to the last step of third layer and last piece when I will do it will be wrong. Please make a video on that.
