Great vid! A neat trick I do with bell sounds in my layers is to use velocity sensitivity so that the bells only come through when I hit the keys hard.
The power of Mainstage.. U can customize it to whatever u like. Great tutorial.. You can also try slight panning with some of the layered patches to help give it stereo space.
Yeah but you can do it on your keyboard if it’s a work station or similar to a Roland RD or NX or Fantom or a Yamaha ect. Young people think they need a laptop to do all this but you don’t. Some keyboards can’t do yes it’s useful. Learn to play with what you’ve got and use these tips to add more to it. Don’t depend on it to do solos through an entire song and forget about your purpose in the band
@@Dannys.channel ..Plz understand the vid before jumping to make comments. This vid is about the softyware Mainstage not about any specific keyboards.Secondly, how many ppl can afford a Roland RD,Fantom,Yamaha Motif/Montage much less a Nord? This tutorial is about making your sound more full on even an affordable $200 controller that a typical person on a low budget can afford. Hope u now get the memo.
I think about this all the time and try to do that but was thinking about this specifically today and working that in my keyboard. Google must be reading minds now and popped this in my feed. 😃 Cool video!
I asked you about this a few videos back. I appreciate you bringing forth such helpful teachings. I am forever humbled by your presence your my bro for life
This helped me a lot I don't have Main stage so I used reason and it's like literally the same I would like to thank God for using you as a vessel .this video was very educational and informative God bless you 🙌
And I thought that it would work because I was using a 66 keys controller but I made it work . So on that note we must learn to understand that we can go far we the things that we already have
This video is very insightful. I don’t use MainStage because it’s not on IPad. AUM is the equivalent for iOS and your approach to sound and layer construction gives me options to explore when customizing my stacks.
Yooo Bowens you are Amazing, this is a course many will give only after payment, men u amazing with your content. I love you sir, will never stop learning from u
Thanks brother, your teaching as been helpful. Sir, can you break it down for the mini keyboard like psr 443 and 463 for better understanding. How to get this multiple stage voice on this category of keyboard.
On certain keyboards you can assign where each sound begins and ends on the keybed! The way you get to that feature may change but the functionality is the same. I’m using a controller and MainStage.
You maybe able to some of that layering and splitting on the keyboard but in a limited way. Your other option is with usb midi to a computer software or iPad app and play sound from that app through the keyboard’s built in audio interface. I used to do somewhat similar setup with my casio but didn’t play with zoning the sounds as much as he did. Going to try this tonight. It’s easier to do with software but can be done without a computer/tablet/phone if your keyboard has deeper editing controls with the sounds.
