Spends most of it ironing his hat's peak to look silly and talking like an idiot , this is the most pointless waste of time I've seen yet, and the pay-off is looking stupid !
This a simulation glitch because I commented a very similar comment on a troll channel years ago and the guy commented back something similar like the this vids creator
Phonologically speaking, the whole "regular B vs. hubba bubba B" discussion is totally a thing. What this guy is doing is called a bilabial flap whereas a normal B is pronounced in what is called a bilabial plosive and they are definitely different things, it's not splitting hairs at all.
I had to delete the original video because the audio was out of sync, so this one is a re-upload. I lost some views on it, but that okay. It's better now. 😌
yeh I kept getting tripped out because I feel like sometimes his mouth was moving so fast that the Shutter speed of his camera was aligning with in it in weird ways and making his mouth look like it was open/closed at weird times? lol I'm not sure what I was seeing but I assume it's actually some kind of artifact of RU-vid compression and how they do the motion interpolation stuff and whatever
Right? The thought that came to mind was "Oh he's lagging" lol. Or if you close your eyes it sounds like he's using some kind of underwater filter, especially with the "double bubble technique". So freaky, I have to learn it!
Good on you for naming it this way. That's the 1st thing that came to my mind when hearing it without any additional preconceptions. Also, this is so hard to do, what the hell.
This totally reminds me of the kid in the cartoon Fat Albert, he had a big knit hat that covered most of his face, he added B's in his words similarly to this, it made him sound like a "mush mouth". I know this really "dates" me (born in 1965)! I'm glad you mentioned this.
I have no idea how I ended up here, I will never use this skill and will probably not even attmept it while watching this. Yet, here i am. Great video. 👌
In spanish we have something similar called "Geringoso" its very very old its actually a bit more confusing and hard and less practical because you make words way too long. So basically you separate the word in syllables, for example "Banana" "Ba na na", and then you duplicate all syllables and replace the consonant with a P" so it would be "Ba pa na pa na pa", another word "butterfly" > "bu tter fly" > "bu pu tter pe fly ply", although I guess geringoso only or at least is best in Spanish its a little bit easier to separate in syllables.
@@scientificallyaccuratespino nice but in english? because I cant think how this would sound in english :P when I was a kid I was able to speak it a little, in spanish ofc hehe
It's crazy how well you can do weird things with words like this after you practice for a bit. Like the language centre of your brain catches on and does it for you. For me, changing the first syllables of two words comes instantly because I just kind of do it out of habit when I'm bored. Which I think is a more common one people do
It looks so smooth when you do it, it’s genuinely satisfying ngl when I first heard it I honestly figured you could beatbox then I went to your channel lol you’re great keep up the good work.
I saw Scribbly Doodle in Squamish BC, performing in the park. I was blown away by his talent, uniqueness, relaxed, glib, aticulate stage presentation, and his ability to mix & loop vocal sounds, to create some of the most innovative & captivating music I've seen performed - or heard! He did the "Betty bought some butter" tongue twister using Hubba Bubba, and it blew me away. He was FABULOUS! Mr. Doodle, or may I call you Scribbly, please put that tongue twister on your You Tube channel - it's just too much fun, and totally mind blowing!
I haven't thought of this since childhood and I'm 60. We used to call it "Double Bubble." This way of talking came from Bill Cosby and his cartoon "Fat Albert."
Here in Argentina we call it "geringozo", The syllable "pa,pe,pi,po,pu" is added to each syllable. I find it funny that there is a variant in other languages 😂 There is even another variant that is particular to a region and is called "rosigarigasino" or "rosarino", originally from Rosario, province of Santa Fé, Argentina.
Why i feel I saw your face. you look alike with so many people if I stay to think of ! you have very unique features but in same time so common for me. oh and you brought back some core memory back and THANK YOU !
Imagine if you just started talking to someone when they were high like this and they didnt know you could do it. But you just acted like your talking normally.
I re-watched the first section a hand ful of times and all of a sudden it just clicked and it legitimately sounds like just English with some air. Wild to go from WTF to oh that sounds normal
I feel like Weird AL's chill middle son just taught me a thing that friends from my youth tried to do a lot. Never saw the show, but had a group of friends who would talk like that and I hated it and they were not good at explaining how to do it.
My niece claims to have invented this Hubble bubble language when she was a child.. now I'm dubious! She does, however, brilliantly incorporate pig Latin as well so it is insanely confusing but sounds brilliant!
Exactly what I thought when I first heard this- I was thinking "I gotta be the only person watching this who saw the show or remembers their 'language'!" I never woulda been able to recall what the name of the "language" was though- thanks man!
We used to do the same thing in middle school! but with a P. lmao in Spanish first, then in English. I’m big into copying sounds with my mouth, beatboxing and changing my voice. I dig the channel. Btw You did a phenomenal job of describing the subtle differences in the sounds made by the mouth movements. It’s kind of mind blowing how big the range of sounds that people can make with their mouths is. Lately I’ve been messing around recording using the looper pedal😝 I think you might find “NO” interesting.. I’m really curious what you think. Btw it’s only 1 minute long
Oh mah gawwwwwwsh its the video I've been waiting for that I knew I needed but didnt' find until now! Wow, when I first saw that cli pof you doing this - yoooo I had to replay it several times. You're a legend mate :)
You went out of your way for the haters man dont let them change you letting them win lmao they still gonna hate you after the explanation 😂 they just mad they cant do it
I remember a kids show called "Zoom"- they had a little language that sounded just like this... anyone else remember that show or their goofy language? (It's a show that was on in the USA around the late 90's/ early 2000's).
I grew up speaking Ibid, which is where you put an ib before every vowel. I think this is the natural evolution of ibid. I have to master this! Oh and you need a special name for the double bubble. Maybe Dubba Bubba.
After practicing for a bit I nearly have it down! The hardest part for me is saying just a b and not ib since that is what I’m so used to. Annunciating more helps a lot. Next I just need to make my b’s more floppy. It already sounds bubbly but that little extra trippiness requires just a bit more floppiness.
