I realize that this video may not be useful for everyone but still wanted to create a video dedicated to this tip for those people who are frustrated with their phone's speed. Be sure to share with friends who may have the same frustration (they'll think you're a pro with this special trick)!
Unfortunately, this does not speed up your phone. Just shorten the animation sequence screen to screen. You could cut out all animations, and it won't make one REAL difference at all. I hope you point that out as well. It is a cool trick. But a trick it will remain to be. NOT hating on you Scott, just pointing out that this is 'not' going to make your 'Android' phone faster. Just 'look' faster. QUICK NOTE: If they do show off this trick. And that person is an Android vet (or really into this stuff, as I mentioned). I hope they really Really REALLY have thick skin....just saying is all.
I thought this video would be a lot more simple, like.. "free up storage space" or "make sure battery saver is turned off", I've been searching for a way to get into developer mode for a while now, thank you, so much!
Nah! Lowering the animation scales, doesent improve the performance of your phone! Doesent make the apps opening faster, it's just a visual thing. This aint gonna help u have better performance in the games! If u really want to speed up your phone, clear your cache, also shut down the background apps opening to clean your RAM! There isnt such an option to make your phone faster then ever. U can just clean it!
*_"Nah! Lowering the animation scales, doesent improve the performance of your phone!"_* Ignore the title dumbass, watch the video instead. This is about getting rid of the animations when you open the application, and yes, turning these animations off does make your app start quicker when it started by hand.
That's fantastic Scott thanks very much indeed for this - it's awesome. I already have a very powerful and fast phone but one can clearly notice a big difference. Anything else good up your sleeve for Android phones?
Just thaught i should mension: this barely has any notisable effect on the speed of your phone and just removes the animations or speeds them up, i prefer to use the standard 1X because that is the stock animation that looks the best on your phone (in my opinion)
Thanks for the tip Scott. I tried this on my Sony Xperia XA1 and didn't really notice any difference. What did happen though was that the phone later on that day threw a hissy fit - locked up and couldn't switch on or off. Even charging had the screen coming on an off in an odd manner. After force restarting a few times and resetting the animation back to where they were it seems to have recovered . It is of course quite possible that this problem was a coincidence and had nothing to do with changing the animations.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. These particular settings shouldn't have any adverse affect on the device. But I guess there is always a small chance it could. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!!! It helped me best my phone is 3 years old but still fast like new thank you so much for this make more videos like this keep it up!!😉
Interestingly, the Samsung s5e tablet has animations (all 3) set to Off by default. Worked great on Samsung's S6 phone. But are there any security risks by leaving developer mode on?
Nope... sorta. For the most part on pretty much all mobile devices, if your lock screen has no security (pin or password at a MINIMUM), I think gaining access to the dev mode under your settings is the least of your worries. There's more to it than that. Like I said "...at a MINIMUM."
Are you kidding me? Lowering down the animation scales does NOTHING, it just makes your animations like loading your RU-vid or apps to make the animation faster.
