Venice Italy, a city in its own class with rich history, incredible culture, and obviously the beauty of its landscape. It may be cliche to say Venice is on lots of people’s bucket list, but if you ever visited Venice, you would say it’s absolutely enchanting. Walking around Venice, maps are not all that helpful. Getting lost is normal. However, every corner turned might surprise you with picturesque view and astonishing architecture.
Piazza San Marco, Palazzo Ducale or Doge’s Palace and Basilica di San Marco. Only few places could match the splendor of Venice, Hotel Danieli is one of them. Considered one of the most famous hotels in the world, overlooking lagoon, Danieli is Located just outside Piazza San Marco, a building away from Doge’s Palace.
The main building of Danieli, the Palazzo Dandolo was commissioned by the Doge of Venice, the oldest and highest political position in the Venetian Republic. As early as 1498, it was the chosen places for visiting noblemen, prince and princess alike. In 1822, 200 and 2 years ago, it was converted into a hotel and named Danieli. Over the Course of its rich history, Hotel Danieli has been favored by writers, musicians and artists like Charles Dickens, Richard Wagner, Lord Byron, Leonard Bernstein and countless others. In the last half century, it was visited by Hollywood fame like Sofia Loren, S ean Connery, Martin Scorsese, Harrison ford, Spielberg and many more.
Enough introduction, the following is the vlog of our stay in Hotel Danieli Venice in a weekend of summer 2024. The best way to arrive at Danieli from train station or airport is none other than riding a wooden boat like in a movie.
