That match or my channel video with the k4 were the most elegant games I have on camera. Its really rare to get the chance to be in such situations where you make every read and every right call just to win
The plane itself is really fun. The only problem is that you fight people who have no idea how to use a jet. They keep running even when they have the advantage and with gaijins HE lottery even when you hit it makes too less damage to kill them in one pass
It certainly took you a while but it is honestly worth it to see the quality that you dedicated to this. Not only was the introduction with the history of the plane quite pleasant, but also the references and images that you added about the maneuvers, your content becomes increasingly better and better. I have advanced quite a bit in the game since I started watching your videos. I appreciate the help in seeing certain maneuvers that I did not take into account before.
Currently I already have almost all the airplanes of the KI series but I would like to see a video of you about them. It is a branch with very varied airplanes and different from each other. The Ki 84 is an incredible airplane and I have another question what do you think about twin-engine airplanes? Would you make a video about the best ones, maybe?
The spitfire dont really need fancy energy maneuvers. The 2 most important maneuvers are the rolling and flat scissors. With them you can make 90% of people overshoot. And yes the quality is keep improving cause I always think of a way to improve the editing. This time it was the experiment witg sliding in and out again
@@hesedbismarck2267the ki line is very interesting indeed. Its like a Japanese way to build a bf109. In reality twin engine fighters really were a waste on resources cause the second engine only gives you 24% extra power, but a ton of weight. The only twin engine fighter that somewhat good was the p38. For it's time it was a great high alt interceptor cause of ots smart flaps and great speed, but even then it got outperformed and replaced by the p47
I really liked how you explained the planes, their prons and cons and what they are good at especially when you were showing the maneuvers during dogfights. Also great music choice
Yes it's a little Easter egg for the original video. After I read your last comment I thought to myself "why dont I use only rwby songs?" So you were the one who who gave me the idea of it
@@HeyImKatyushalet's gooo, I've just been obsessed with these songs ever since I saw that one, it's like something clicked in me and now whenever I play the Griffons I always have caffeine blasting in the background 24/7 lmao Also wanted to say that the last part really gave me chills with the ace combat music and the buildup to it, even though I saw it before in the trailer; I got inspired to research the mk 24 myself as I've been putting it off for some time
Also the Triumph was placed perfectly with the Mk22, since that was one of the last Spitfires produced before going to jets, and the song talks about not wasting time on the past and looking to the future
This was really good, im gunna share it with some of my... less Air RB competent friends. Great music, clear guide. I hope to see more as I explore your content, and subbed so I dont miss out on more!
Ive been playing the spitfire for years so already knew just about all of this but clicked it on my recommended out of curiosity, your flying and editing style is awesome and i watched the entire thing just enjoying how you fly. Good job fellow spitfire enjoyer :)
well the only thing you can really learn for the spitfire is how to revers people. you are the slowest so you have to dive on someone or let them come to you. but im glad you liked it
@@HeyImKatyusha Yeh exactly, I love how aggressively you reverse on people. One thing i think i always take armoured targets belts for 20mm they seem to be more consistent for me.
What's next? How to LA, from LaGG-1 to La-9? Would be interesting to see the different development from the same starting point, when compared with Yak line.
How to LA/I225 or the 3 Italian Brothers. I will let you guys vote on it like it used to be. The spitfire guide should just be a compensation for the missing energy maneuver guide. What i can tell you now is that the LAs were used as cheap one way interceptors. They were like the bf109 cheap and fast to produce cause nobody expected them to come back alive. Kinda like the yaks. Performance wise was the yak always better for it's fighter focus, while the LA transformed to an interceptor with heavier and heavier armament that a yak simply couldn't handle
Another reason the RAF chose to use 7.7 guns was because a report was published when the Spitfire was being designed (i think it was then i don't fully remember when) where it was calculated that 8 7.7 guns would provide more than enough volume of fire pet sq ft of air to take down an enemy bomber.
@@HeyImKatyusha oh yeah, i have the non clipped wing, since i am researching the clipped wing, so I will watch out for the difference. I don't play the british tech tree so that was my first spitfire.
Thank you. When watching closely you see that the only maneuvers it takes are rolling and flat scissors.you also dont have to watch for any speed control with the spitfire cause your energy retention bleeds speed fast enough to let them overshoot without problem
Thanks. The main reason why jet guides aren't my thing is that top tier is only about missiles and American/russian planes. The jets under 9.3 are ok, but there it's again just a head on and running Festival. And the American/russian problem is there too. I'm tired of seeing clueless sabers and mig15s. When the enough people would like me to to do it, sure.
Thank you. When I started war thunder the only thing they said in the guides was: climb above your enemy, turn against your enemy, boom and zoom your enemy blablabla. Since then I always wanted to make videos that actually tell what your plane is even build for and how to use it
They really are underrated. The re2005 was my favorite plane ingame. Have a 8:1 ratio with it and had really fun outplaying spitfires but gaijin thought that the already overtired plane needs to move up to 6.0. Since then I dont really fly it anymore. The rest of the planes are also great. I will make a vote for the next guide like it used to be
@HeyImKatyusha yep I don't know why they up tiered this plane. I also think the re 2001 cn is fun and you mostly get up tiered so it's fun to beat spitfire mk9s with. C205 N2 and G55 also favorites. Keep up the great vids, I know it must take many hours to make 👏👏👏
I need all the music in da video, but great video, definitely watched this and da P-51 guide too. Just subbed and gonna watch more. Keep it up if possible 🔥🔥🔥
Problem with the Merlin engined Spitfires is that your engine doesnt function above 3200 meters or so, if you climb above that you'll have hard time fighting and your airframe will become sluggish, making bringing opponents down below 3200 meters hard as your roll rate becomes terrible, especially when facing something like a 109, so you're always reliant on your team and that an occasional 109 or 190 wont dive on you from space. And the teams in props - not great. Griffon engine fixes this problem, with a new high - altittude airframe which increases its max performance altittude to 5000 meters. And the second biggest threat for a Spitfire is another Spitfire. Gaijin decided to make money off of Spitfires and added premium ones to Israel and America which have their stats increased by 1.5 over British tech tree ones. Italian spitfire isnt much of a problem as its stats arent buffed artificially. At 5.7 you'll have a hard time fighting Israeli and American spitfires in your poor Griffon - engined one, as they outturn you and outclimb you while the American one also has more 20 mils. However, both Israeli and American spitfires are griffon engined and most clueless premium players that use them dont know what a Merlin engine is so you can get them into a very long and slow zoom climb to high altittude where your Griffon engine and high - altittude airframe will outperform them. However if they dont fall for that trap there's nothing you can do against them, except spaceclimb and try to dive, however they turn better than a Zero so they can easily evade.
There are some things wrong with that. The mk9 line has a merlin engine and has high alt performance as well. Thats cause they have the second supercharger gear unlike the mk1 or 5. As far as I know does no other nation have the griffon besides Britain. Soviets America Israel only have the LF Mk9 and the normal Mk9 and they are identical in performance as the British one. Only difference there is that they have the 7.7 instead of the browning. You are able to outturn the LF Mk9 as griffon, but only with speed management. I have a example for that in the last spitfire video I made but I have to look what the name of it is
One of the best things you can do for your war thunder knowledge is learn to IAS climb instead of regular degrees. in real life, pilots would climb based on the speed their spedometers showed (indicated air speed) as climbing by angle or true air speed was less efficient. to use this, go to air settings and turn on TAS + IAS, then find a climb speed chart, the steam guides that show up when you look up *nation* prop climb speed are the best imo. for example, with the p-47s, which are notorious for 'bad' climb rate, you can reach about the same altitude as other planes by just climbing while changing angle to maintain about 260km/h IAS. this means that you can pretty much negate most 'bad climb rates' by just climbing more efficiently than everyone else, who are probably just holding a specific angle or true airspeed which becomes less useful for measuring actual plane performance the higher you get.
I know what it looks like, but i used prez coms way back in my videos 2 years to be exact (the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ALoUjld3zAU.htmlsi=vsVT6shGD98E9rsr) i just choose her for the thumbnail cause of the last part of the video. I would never steal anything from other content creators or anything like that
(For the 50 calories) 😂 also am i the only one that likes the clipped wing spits, maybe its because i like slow speed fights where energy retention doesn't matter just engine power
The 50 calories was a mistake of the software but I chose to let it in cause it's not harming any information and everyone knows what it means. The clipped wing spitfires have their place, but cause of its high alt performance and its increased br i sadly cant recommend it. The exception is the Israeli LF Mk9 CW cause it's just a ufo
Fr 47 catches people unaware, 190s will try to outrun you and it doesn't work that way lol, BUT if they DO know what you are it can become quite an intense fight.
Bro every time I use the French sea fire I drop like 4 or 5 kill games. The thing is busted and I love it. It’s the whole reason I gave Britain a try and am now grinding to the mk24
Clipped wing Packard-Merlin Spitfire is nice for sim tbh. Good cockpit view, better guns. Probably a plane that's better off in Sim than Air RB. I prefer the premium clipped wing Griffon Spit because that bastard is fast.
On paper the 7.7 stealth belt makes more damage but with the time you need on target the tracers are just more reliable. You can also use tracer 7mm and stealth 20mm for the best balance of both
26:50 they all line up behind you thinking you're the easy target when in reality the easiest targets at this BR are jets who have lost all their speed. Something they are about to become.
great video, only a thing the mk5 tropical is a beast, i got 6 kill in a match (and i'm not that good in air rb i usually do 1 or 0 kill for match at around 5.0)
the thing is that your airframe is from a 3.7 plane so you only get 2x20mm for the 4x7mm. i myself also have a lot of kills with it but compared to planes like g6 or yak9u you are simply outperformed
Amazing vids enjoy the gameplay so much! I have a question though are there any props with almost the same agility as the spitfire but with more impactful guns? I feel the spitfire shoots underwhelmingly even though I'm playing the mk14 variant predominantly.
the mk XVI is the only spit I was good with xD. Good video, but I'll stick to 109s for now, they suit my style better. And just to clarify I did play the Mk.IX, but didn't get any further into tier IV
The Spitfire an extremely fun aircraft, but its BR needs to be fixed badly. LF Mk9 should be in 5.3 & not have to deal with Superprops as often as it does. Seafire Mk3 should be 4.0 like the Mk5b. I think the most fun Spitfire to play is either the F mk9 or the Spitfire Mk14e because they feel right in their BR.
LF mk9 should never go down in br. its by far the strongest turnfighter cause your engine gives you speed and climb, letting you outclimb all probs in the game. the seafire has over twice as much ammo than the mk5 so i would give it 4.3 and the f mk9 should go 4.7
As I've been enjoying the Spitfire while playing the game off and on, I ended up playing the Firefly because it was in the way of a plane I liked Fairey made a Spitfire with a flatbed that fucks, but it's a little slow Highly recommend the Firefly if you enjoy any early Spittie, you'd definitely do magic with it Didn't know what I was doing with it as a kid, because I read "strike aircraft" and had it at a 0.17 kd bombing ground units, got it to > 1kd a while ago because I forced myself to appreciate it Would be terrified of fighting a good Firefly player
To be honest i dislike slow planes cause i hate it to chase people. but i saw many players liking the firefly. if you want a really great attacker use the wyvern. its way faster and has a top performance
The spitfire LF Mk9 is fun and my favorite spitfire, but that also means buying a plane you can simply get with silber. The only difference between the normal Lf is that your 2x12.7mm are now the 4x7mm, and that's arguably worse. My favorite to advise is the yak vk107. Is same price unique and meta
