Another fine vid in the series of the most fun plane in the sim. To those just starting to fly the Spit IX, if you select 150 octane you have to switch the supercharger gears manually, around 10,000 ft.
I've gone back and forth on clipping the wings, the extra roll rate is very tempting, but I get the feeling that I'm sacrificing a lot of energy retention in turns if I clip the wings, especially at high g. Any opinion on this?
I dont notice it that much. Maybe cause I do most turns vertically? I also dont turn that much anyhow It might be that it is draggier in a turn, but it still outturns anything on the battlefield. I also like to fly the non clipped version from time to time. Just to change things up and to fly the "classic".
