Guys to delete paragraph Mark option just press delete key dont press backspace key.

this doesn't work, if i remove the line break the table just becomes closer together but it doesn't actually merge with the other table.

press the delete button. seriously though it worked for me.

Haha. You need to add a line above and delete that line as well. Otherwise pressing delete does nothing.

Steve Shargel weird. i just click the icon and the cursor indicating where my typing will begin started doing its flashing thing at the icon at which point i pressed the delete button and it worked. i did not have to add any lines.

I agree with you, only with delete button you can delete paragraph mark.

For anyone that is still struggling with this. The delete button didn't work for me. But right clicking the marker and clicking cut did.

If you follow his instructions and your tables do not merge, => Right-click on the table handle (the + sign) => Under the Table tab, choose "None" => Then OK. Viola!
