How long does it take to fully charge it? Mine got turned off due to low battery so I charged it for 15 mins and connected it to my phone to check the battery percentage and my phone showed that the speaker had 80% battery. Weird and obviously not accurate. That's why I would like to know how long does it take to fully charge it? Also does the red charging indicator turns off when it's fully charged?
My post is like hella late but thanks for this vid. I only get $200 USD a month to cover rent, power, water and food. I wish I could afford to get a real JBL but the fake one works well enough. If I really want to rock the house I just connect to the landlord's stereo LoL but it's nice to know what to look for when I want a legit JBL Extreme
I bought what seems to be a fake jbl extreme on eBay for £14 , it does what i need it to do ,loud not bad sound quality, bass is OK depending on the source, it'll do me, tho i might message the seller see if i can blag a freebie ya never know.
bro i got my friends fake one it has some of the fake aspects and some of the real one. My fake one doesnt make the computer sound when turned on, it makes the same sound effects as the real one and the bass things if i push the other side it pushes the other side
@@ethanenchilada9341 but I can't find its match. Here's my email address emmanuelfestus25@gmail.com . I'll love to show you the picture of mine. I don't know way I can find it
The brochure says Extemre! Not Extreme! Lame. I understand a lot of fakes out there which may be why a used rebuilt ones from jbl direct cost more than new from Walmart or amazon. Anyone know where to buy the real thing - my old go to on this sort of thing was Walmart but apparently even they are now selling some fakes?
The 100% way to not get a fake is to buy it directly from jbl or a major electronic chain store it’s jus not worth the 10-25 dollars of savings buying it @ Jose electronics/ boost mobile.
My fake is much better. It's about 90% of what your original is. Even the straps are the same. The big difference is the volume control, and the volume in general. All the volume setting are cranked up. It gets SUPER loud. Even on the lowest volume, it's as loud as my mac on max volume. And the start up sound is just as loud. Starting it up scares both my cat and my dog. Is there any solution to this? Can these be updated? The best I can do is not connect my phone. Connecting the computer, I have the computer volume, and then iTunes volume, both set on about 1/8th to get a nice inside volume. Also, the UP/DOWN buttons on the original are press for louder, and press-hold for next song. The fake has press once for next song, and press-hold for volume. Very annoying. Trying to set it on min volume, always jumps to MUTE. Any Ideas on how to fix this?
thank you very much. i was just screwed from a mf on ebay .he now has to pay me back. the fake product was exactely as the one that you described. thank you one more time.
On the original there are 5 lights that show how much battery is left before the battery is empty. On the JBL faker is there 5 battery lights that measure the battery? Without it, you don't know if the battery is empty or at 50%
they would be better off just calling it something else and selling it for what it truly is, a cheaper version of a tube speaker. They often sell them much cheaper than the other ones, so it would make more sense for them to just sell it for what it is. The original jbl speaker costs around 70 pounds even on ebay, the lookalike costs around 20 pounds. So long as they sound OK they would be better off just calling it lookey likey tube speaker or something, rather than trying to rip off the name of a much more expensive speaker, especially as they don't price them at the same level, so you know they are not JBL speakers. But so long as they sound OK and the price is low, they are worth buying. However if you want an original JBL speaker then it will cost you a lot more money, over 3 times the price of the lookey likey speaker. It stands to reason, less than 20 pounds compared to 70 pounds or more.
I have original model but it's made in China. Because it is much cheaper for America to pay Chinese workers to make a speaker than to pay American workers. This means that the original can also be Chinese I don’t think it’s worth giving $ 160
My brother bought a fake one on ads on the facebook. Its almost $25 and it only last 10-15 songs. The bass is kinda good until you turn the volume to the max. Haha he wasted his money on this crap
Cmon man don't say that the fake is "semi decent" because it's nothing if the sort... It's bad, don't let people waste money. I've listen some fake jbl speakers and it's smarter to buy the cheaper jlb model than this crap
