UPDATE: Some Chanel packaging is also no longer "hand pleated" and done by machine. Especially when it's the newer packaging, I recently got a bag from Chanel and it had perfect pleating. So this isn't the best way to tell.
Today's video is all about superfake Chanel handbags and how to spot one. I've included a lot of authentication tips for authenticating Chanel pieces as well as detailed photos of both authentic and fake Chanel handbags.

Superfakes are made to look good only for the first few years. After that they deteriorate quickly. Of course that being said, I do think that Chanel’s quality has been diminishing in recent years as well 🤭

Nothing we can do about fakes…I could care less how many people have the same bag as myself…that makes it really spoken for.. I hate when people say they don’t want a certain purse because everyone has it….well everyone has a hole are we gonna get rid of ours because of that? Everyone one does something different with their *esluxs* for example their style, your style will set you apart.

I have two pre-loved *esluxs* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

My wife bought a used like new Chanel bag yesterday for $2750cnd. The seller had the box, dust bag and certificate card. Also the receipt from Chanel store in California. Seller bought it in 2019 for $6500us. We did research before buying. We inspected the purse, looked new. Made in Italy. My wife loves it

If you can't afford a designer bag and feel some type of way about expensive designer shit then DON'T FUCKING WATCH THE VIDEO. Like do ya'll even read the tittle of the videos before clicking on it? It clearly says in the tittle the video will be about designer bags. I find these types of videos very helpful even though I can't afford any of these bags yet, but I know one day I will. And I want to know which designer bag will be really worth my hard earn money and I will get the most use of. I have a Louis Vuitton Métis clutch. I like it. I'm glad I bought it. I recently wanted a Chanel flap bag, so I cracked opent *hotdups* ’s Chanel Classic Flip Tops. I prefer the Rive Gauche which I purchased at *hotdups* its durability is excellent but I definitely agree with you I would never choose anything over the price I paid. I feel like designers no longer want "ordinary" people to own their pieces, and sadly the price increases over the past few months have put me off buying any expensive designer bags at all.

I bought the Lalage Beaumont Fontyn in medium tan last week at *hotdups* and since receiving it I have been using it and neglecting my designer collection (honeymoon period maybe) , but I was really impressed with the quality and timing, right down to how they used it. Will wear it. I wish they would make this bag in a variety of pinks (i.e. sakura pink). There are actually many options to choose from

I definitely Loved the video it’s really good!!! I have to say imo, I understand why people say they wouldn’t care about people buying dupes or fakes or why should people care. BUT, It’s not that necessarily people “care” about people having fakes, it’s the fact that people that have money to buy into luxury and invest it’s for a reason. Quality, quantity, and yes buying luxury as exclusivities. Because if I have the money, enjoy fashion, and the house brand etc. It’s not that I’m “bothered” by people buying dupes or fakes, but if I invest my hard earned money into that item, I wouldn’t want to buy that brand, or bag, or design and find something more than fit into my needs and wants as *esluxscom* . And nothing is wrong with that.

Paying $10,000 plus for a purse is sooo incredably stupid!!! They're all made in China these days and often times the really good fakes are made in the exact same factory, on the exact same asembly line as the authentic ones. I have a friend who actually used to work for a high end designer company in China. His job was selecting which factory to use to produce the designer product. The factory that is manufacturing the authentic product just produces their order for Chanel, or Hermes, or whatever, and then they just run through an extra 1,000 bags to sell on the replica market. THE HIGHER END $500 PLUS REPLICA BAGS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME EVERYTYHING. NEVER EVER WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A REAL DESIOGNER BAG!!!

That's like going grocery shopping and paying $2.69 for a can of Green Giant green beans compared to Great Value (generic) for .89 cents! They're all manufactured at the same place!! If I had all the money in the world I would never pay that kind of price for a authentic designer bag especially when you can get a great dupe for much less. Thanks for the video. I will say that fakes have been around for yeaaarrrrssss. I think it’s just brought to light now because of social media. I’ve seen LV and Chanel fakes and know how to get them if I wanted (Asian community) since like the 1990s. So it’s nothing new at all. If it seems a lot maybe people are just more aware with educational videos on authentic vs fake versus before. I wouldn’t let fakes and replicas change my mind on purchasing a bag or not. If I like it, I will buy it. And the fakes are never the same as the real ones. If people can’t afford it and are happy with *esluxs* , to each their own. My favorite bag is the classic flap. Next is the Kelly, then birkin. I know many Filipino aunties that have replicas to all. And it doesn’t change my mind on them. If you look at the Asian community NEARLY EVERY LUXURY BRAND bag has fakes, including business affinity and trendy

Honestly the quality of the Chanel bags these days isn’t even worth the price. I’ve seen so many wear and tares in newly purchased bags. I have a vintage from the 90’s and the quality is just superb even till now

When I Was first "getting into" luxury handbags, I purposely bought a Gucci Marmont. I wasn't trying to show off, or brag, or pass it off as the real thing, I just wanted to see if it would fit what I wanted it to and how it would live with me (without the SA staring at you) before I shelled out the money for the real thing. As it turns out, it wasn't for me. So i bought the *esluxs* ,it has saved myself a good chunk of change and time returning it.

The pleating on the tissue paper is not a must. My SA doesn’t do the pleating. I didn’t even know about it until I bought a bag from another boutique and saw how the other SA packaged it.

A bag shape is not copyrightable, only the logos and certain techniques. It's not a problem to sell a similar shape as long as you are not trying to sell it are an original, which is then actual *esluxs* . I, however, will buy and wear what I like with no regard to what other people are wearing.

I would say it's probably real. A fake 30 year old bag would have desintegrated. Plus 30 years ago the fake bag market was not as good as it is today. Btw, that bag is an absolute treasure. Lucky girl :)

I purchased a vintage Chanel bag without bag but with authentication card that looks real. On the outside it ticks off all the boxes. On the inside, the lining is flaking. Yes, flaking right off revealing a cloth underneath. The bag lived for 14 years in Singapore in very humid hot climate. Of course although it looks like an authentic it must be a super fake

I wouldn't jump to conclusions just because the inside lining is flaking. Could be the previous owner stuffed it too full, used it all the time, put scratchy stuff inside (like unprotected keys), etc. Furthermore, Singapore's climate is no joke lmao. I live in Singapore, and i have to use a electronic dehumidifier machine (those that can dehumidify your whole home, albeit with this climate it can only dehumidify my bedroom effectively) to keep my bags dry and mould-free. Leave a bag alone for a few days, mould starts to grow. Many of my leather goods (bags, wallets, shoes, you name it) had succumbed to mould the last few years and i had to throw them away. They were all beyond repair. It would have been cheaper to buy new ones than send them for repair. Unfortunately many of them were branded goods 🥲🥲 It's insanely humid and warm here, perfect breeding ground for mould. Humidity averages 80-100% at night and 60-80% during the day (during CLEAR and SUNNY days. And it rains here 2/3 of the year. You can only imagine what it's like most of the time 🥲). Temperatures average about 28°C (at night) to 33°C (during the day) throughout the year. No seasons here, summer all year round. Not surprised that your lining may have been destroyed by mould, if the previous owner didn't take care of it properly.

I own an authentic Gucci bag. I purchased it preloved and it was flaking….I simply scraped the lining of all of the peeling and it looks sooooo much better. Yours is probably the real deal.

That doesnt necessarily mean it's fake though, many of my LV makeup bags and bags have fallen apart and have started peeling (inside), I think it's from perfume and lotions which contain alcohol.. it can cause the coating to separate from the leather lining.

I do have to say I have bought quite a few Chanel pieces that had defects on it like in the chain being open instead of being closed tightly T_T and the CC logo being slanted, and even peeling off caviar on a boy bag >//< it's so awful! but I do love Chanel.

Chanel's quality has gone downhill and price increase is ridiculous. I can't even tell the difference between a lot of the superfakes and the real deal when they are side by side so no way any1 would know.

Lol where….just point me in a direction because I think so too, I almost bought a fake the other day and I really had to be all up in it and I was like you know what it’s not even worth it anymore.

Honestly who cares about who retail workers think of your outfit? I am shopping for my first Chanel and at this point husband tells me to buy a superfake just because I like the designs. That’s a lot of BITCOIN BABY! 5k of Chanel value put in Bitcoin will be 500k in my children’s accounts, investing the money and buying a replica seems as a good compromise now. I think I am decided I’ll buy 50% real and 50% replicas to appease my designer family upbringing & appease myself with having the things I want and easily share them with my daughters. There’s no way a real Chanel would survive in my house unless I’d have a replica to share with my baby girls. They touch everything. Anyway, I see no difference, and if I step out of my Real Porsche with a fake Chanel, who will know? NOBODY 🐆

exactly, and that myth about vintage Chanel holding value is only partly true - because you can only get your money back if it actually sells, and vintage are impossible to sell once they are 10+ years.

I think a third type of person who watch this kind of video are had people who want to create more authentic looking fakes. They can figure out what they’re doing wrong and correct it to make more super fakes. I understand why this is important for people like me who sometimes buy second hand, but unfortunately, anyone with evil intent can also watch. Maybe I’m wrong.... I hope I’m wrong. ❤️❤️

Hmmm... it’s hard to watch a video and copy the design of the bag from there. The best fakes are actually made by purchasing an authentic piece from the store and then taking it apart basically reverse engineering the process. Maybe a poorly done fake could do it from photos but I highly doubt that type of fakes is the concern for people watching this type of video. 😊 hope it helps clarify things! Thanks for watching! 😊
