I worked as a bookkeeper in a club for many years, I handled cash for 10 hours a day 4 days a week. I can spot a counterfeit by sight most of the time. But 100% of the time just by holding it. Counterfeits are pretty easy to identify once you know what to look and feel for.
Exactly. This is why I wish that they would give us counterfeit bills when training us. So that we'd know what to look for before being thrown into the arena
Just to mention, as cashier, much of the transaction happens so fast, it's good luck if you spot a difference. Not to be a big crap, but we are told to get all transactions as soon as possible and regulars especially business owners anticipate getting thru quickly. To lose business or get complaints from the business card holders in retail can mean losing your job. Thus, good luck, that it's spotted.

Hundred dollar bills aren't super common at the register... I get only a few a day at most. The line, if there is one, can wait 5 seconds for me to check a bill. I don't think any upper management gives a hoot unless I'm checking every single bill I get. If you're familiar with real bills you'll be better able to spot fakes.
That's exactly what I'm freaking saying. I'm currently trying to sell my car privately and people keep telling me to prefer cash over checks... Am I really going to want to spend a whole damn day counting 159x $100 bills to verify each and every of their authenticity? Even banks won't do that! That's full of BS. In this day and age where saying we're going through a massive superinflation is an insane understatement and we are still only stuck with a max of $100 bills, I'd much rather get a check to verify with the bank before even thinking about lending my title to someone else.
I changing all of them my notes in bus station, gas station, hotels, bars and night club. counterfeitmoneyproduction.com/ this website is the best to buy fake bills from, their fake notes are 💯% real and easy to change .
fibers are tougher to check. easier to go for watermarks on the sides (strip & face), texture of the portrait (feel it with your nails - slowly), and the golden number on the bottom right that turns green when tilting
Also; you generally won't find a lot of Ones, Fives, or Tens out there that are counterfeit. Those don't have enough return change value, or purchasing power. Twenties, Fifties, and One Hundreds are the ones that are the most counterfeited, and so those are the ones you need to keep your eyes on.
@@crand20033 Bill validators (like ATMs) will catch it because most counterfeits don’t have magnetic ink. Bill Validators technology can differ based on the manufacturer and model but all modern ones test for magnetic ink in the correct patterns. I think in the 80s maybe early 90s you could fool vending machines with photo copied money but lots of improvements since then. Modern ones can have other features too like image capturing, infrared ink scanning, checking for security strip, etc. So yes a bill validator will catch a fake. I use to work at a place that has a $200ish bill validator by the registers. It has a confirm beep (green light) and a suspect beep (red light). Sometimes the condition of the bill will trigger a false negative. So that’s why I said suspect instead of fake lol. But yea most counterfeits are designed to fool people not machines.
I sold my iPhone for 200bucks and that shit actually said on the back that “this is a joke not real money” lmao 😂 I feel so dumb not checking the entire money and trusting people
@@stinkyfeet2235 because what is getting stressed up over it going to do. You may not be able to bring him justice for it. Also how can you prove that he himself deceived you when it could have been pass down from one who deceives to the ignorant to you??
@@lmrdjm275 Everyone has an opinion. Maybe she felt that way, and maybe she didn't care. Not everyone holds the door. I try to time my door holding. Sometimes I'm too early, and sometimes I'm too late, which makes me feel bad too. I've held the door for people who slowed down on purpose just to make the situation awkward. I once closed the door on an elderly white lady because I didn't see her. I couldn't re-open the door for her because she was already doing it. But a couple at the gas tank stared at me as if I had no respect. I've held the door for a person on crutches once, and he got angry with me because he felt like he could do it himself. Regardless, you can't worry about what people think about you. You know your heart. If someone loves you, good. If they hate you, that's their problem.
@@stinkyfeet2235 Agreeing with Mr. Feet, I'm a middle aged white guy, and I've had the clerk hold a $20 up to the ceiling, trying to see if it's real. The cashier has to "count out" at the end of the day, and if the drawer doesn't match, they're in trouble.
Ryu2012SF I hope you are the police. if not, you need to get a life. What crime did he commit? What are they gonna do, arrest him for posting a comment?
Ixility playz the FBI will investigate your school if they did catch any fake currency in your school. Most likely they will questions the cashier lunch lady first or so idk
I collect error notes & I am surprised theres some in circulation that was not detected! Shows you how much the average person does not really look at money & if found think that it is counterfeit when in fact counterfeiters will want to mimic the look of a real bill 😆
free zed report it to them or contact the police, and they will investigate the entire bank to see if there are anymore counterfeit currency by higher authority. Counterfeit is no joke and is taken seriously and even if there was only one counterfeit dollar bill they will still investigate the entire bank to see how it ended up in the Bank of America because it’s extremely unlikely for a bank to have fake currency
Just use your fingernail and scratch the president's coat. The lines in it are raised above the rest of the note and you'll feel it when you scratch it.
That's bullshit. So if someone is tricked and given a fake bill and spends it somewhere, they can go to jail? They should only go to jail if it is PROVED that THEY counterfeited it or are in on it. It's bad enough that they just lose the money.
I have $500 about 2006 but the real money can't receive money changer at region bank east of java in bojonegoro get reason past time edition. So sad me.
When someone breaks into your home, steals any valuables you may have and murders your family, as you watch them leave, be sure to remind them that you are not going to call the police, because....that would be snitching. Way to have your priorities in order. [/sarcasm]
If I ever witness someone abducting your child from a store parking lot, I will remember the valuable lesson I learned from you, and under no circumstances would I alert authorities after I see you pleading on TV for the safe return of your child, because...that would be snitching. You can thank me then.
I spent a lifetime handling CASH as well as other financial instruments or documents. I can literally tell if a bill is fake/genuine by feel alone! Grasp the bill by two fingers of your left hand, then slide the thumb and forefinger of your right hand down the length of the bill. IF YOUR AS GOOD AS I AM, you can tell immediately!!! Yes, it took me years to acquire this ability. But it's pretty damn hard to fool a real expert.
So I have to tell myself this inhave a fake 100 dollar bill and I have nothin to do about cuz I'm only 12 WOW AND I EARNED 271 DOLLARS FOR MY. BIRTHDAY IN. IM SAVING IT UP
