Loving the inclusion of advice on sounds. Being quiet is important folks! Being a sneaky ninja, I managed to best 3 players on my first game ever because they had no idea I was coming. I still vividly remember the last guy going:"Where TF did you come from!?"

I can relate. One game, me and my team managed to infiltrate the enemy respawn base completely to there suprise. I managed to lead us so deep into enemy territory that they assumed we were with them until we threw the grenades muhuhuhuhahahaha

@@MuhammadAli-qh8tg That's what happens if teams become too large and start to get lazy. The players then begin to assume that anyone around them must be a team-member. They lose guard and forget that the enemy can simply infiltrate the weakly defended perimeter by sheer speed of movement. Situational awareness is key.

Sometimes it pays to just tell the players behind you to hold up if you think you see something or know a good hiding spot. Most players who ambush want you all to pass and shoot you in the back before you can retaliate. By making the other players stop and only giving them a 1 for 1 scenario you buy yourself some time. And if you get shot at least the 3 people behind you will be tipped off.

I subscribed because having to crawl two hundred feet through brush and mud to get an angle on the ghillie suit that just nailed the medic or the squad leader is fun the first time, but quickly gets old. Beats walking a mile to the respawn point, though, simply because I’d rather spend energy crawling than time walking.

The Stormriders do TIs (Target Indicators). Good video lads and fairly comprehensive.

Dangerman says it well. popping up on top you are a target from the entire field. if you utilise the sides you have halved the threath. also giving valuable intel to your team if shot out.

Thanks for the tips, great video. I have a question : how many times would you look around the same obstacle or cover to check an area before moving to a different spot ? It feels as though some will often keep doing the same "around the corner peek" that will get them spotted then it's just wait for them to "bop out" one more time and shoot them. I guess there has to be some sort of "never look more than three times round the same corner" rule or principle.
@StormRiders
@StormRiders 3 года назад
This is a great question. There is no hard rule on how many times to check and, if we’re honest, we sometimes fall into the “just one more check” trap - where you want to move but keep checking just one more time, over and over. Ultimately it’s better to remind yourself that you’re moving for a reason, not just for the sake of moving. So if your objective is to get to X piece of cover, then you should focus on getting that done as quickly as possible and in that light, you might find yourself not checking quite as many times. Hope that helps!

@@StormRiders Yea, I once asked that to my grandpa, who's an army vet. He said it's a situation of "charge or ambush" : if you brake cover (round a corner or other) keep moving forward towards an objective (don't just peek and wait) otherwise if you are going to wait for the adversary, chose a line of fire, lay low and wait for them to brake cover into your sights.

If you have to look around a corner or cover more than once do it from another location the next time. That may mean getting really low on a corner or moving to a different position

@@chrislodge8756 why is that?
@ChasWG
@ChasWG 3 года назад
What a bunch of crap. Do your ears have a volume knob to turn up your own hearing? And how does this enlightened being think most sports sounds are gathered? Ever hear of a parabolic mic? Human hearing is OK, but compared to other mamals, its shit. Our ears don't pivot to assist with direction detection, our outer ears are not shaped wonderfully for gathering sound. Our ears are more like an omni-directional mic than a shot gun mic, so gathering sound at a distance is harder for us. Sound is a funny thing. It bounces and penetrates, it gets absorbed and reflected. And for some odd reason, humans hear sound above our heads better than below. Yes, active hearing protection can assist you with hearing another player at a greater distance And what if you have hearing damage? These headsets can help. I have used it many times to great success. Especially during night games.
@chrislodge8756
@chrislodge8756 3 года назад
@@MrJesulius From your response. As Chas has highlighted below there are many benefits that these devices give us that in total allow for greater hearing than our normal ranges. If you do have experience with active hearing protection it must be from a very cheap or off-brand and definitely not from any quality product. Your comment really parallels with someone saying they have never come across a car that was faster than them running.
@MrJesulius
@MrJesulius 3 года назад
@@ChasWG "And what if you have hearing damage? These headsets can help." that is legit. But you guys hearing better with peltors/sordins is all on you guys not knowing how to listen or having bad hearing. Its not a bad thing to need aid to hear. Just dont tell people bs about active hearing protection being better than a normal human ear. This has to somekind of a cultural difference. Or you people just see cool ig photos of this stuff and eat it up without personal experience. As i said a cultural difference.
