Honestly it’s hard to tell. As a reseller who only purchases sneakers from popular retailers, many UAs can come off as defective authentic pairs. I’ve seen some terrible authentic pairs honestly. Real factories make mistakes too 😬

If you buy an UV torch, be sure to buy one with 365nm uv emitters instead of the more cheap and common 395nm. The 365nm emitters are more close to the UV range (almost invisible) and make things glow brighter, while 395nm emitters are closer to the visible light (a mix of blue and purple) and make things glow more faint

Just FYI I got the St Johns dunks from SNKRS and hit them with a blacklight, there's a bunch of darker color "smears" that show up. It's like they use a different paint or something to cover up defects. It's mostly on the outsole.

a black light also shows any touch up paint that has been applied. i got a pair of ROTY on goat used for $115 last year and i just recently found out the right shoe was touched up with some re paint and you can't even tell with the naked eye. but the black light shows it super well.

You're too kind on Adidas and Nike. I've bought shoes from Nike and Adidas that left scars on my Achilles and had to be returned. I've bought and I've read other people's comments about how their QC is shaky at best. The manufacturer making the "real" shoe fir Adidas and Nike is the one selling the defective ones and the so called "fakes" backdoor.

What up peeps? I don't know if I fully believe the blacklight to legit check on the runny glue. I tried it on a pair of my J's that I purchased at FinishLine, and was able to spot glue marks. Anybody else?

I will say I do the black light test all the time but yeezy’ s have gotten sloppy with glue. I know mine are legit because they come straight from adidas. My 500 bones are glue city and they came from adidas US. Everything else is fine though.

I have a medicom toy dunk low I got from snkrs and there are a lot of glue marks on the midsole. Is this a common thing for this type of shoe? There is no stamp on the out sole, or stamp on the box either. I'm wary to use stockx or goat since the glue marks are so bad.

As a owners of a couple Grateful Dead’s I knew right off the back just from the fur it was fake BUT I could see how someone could get scammed if they never had a pair in hand. Ordered my black light earlier today. Great video.

I watched a few of your videos, you KNOW exactly what you're talking about but you speak as if you're unsure or you don't want anyone to blame you for a bad cop or anything. You repeat a lot of things kind of as a disclaimer to let people know you said it but to really keep people on their toes to really look else where for info or cross reference. Keep up the work, edit out some of the doubt when you speak and the channel will grow fam.

The black light doesn't prove they're fake cause it you see a lil glue around sole. But that stamp is a give away for fake.

Some of the reps come from the same factories they just sell some as a side hustle on the black market. So some aren't even replicas they are made by the same people who make the authentics but they might not pass quality control on purpose or by mistake and the sell them thru backdoors

Only resellers call shoes fakes. They don’t like the fact that people have found out about LJRs and have connects overseas that they can get the exact same shoes from at a way cheaper price. You have people paying almost retail if not more for what people consider B Grades. They have people so brainwashed in America. People will spend their life savings on sneakers and can’t even pay for food the next day.
