In this tutorial I will show you how to add stability to the bottom of your wire tree sculpture base. No more wobbling or scratching the surfaces you display your art on. I usually use a rock, or natural wood, and sometimes tiles, which will definitely scratch any surface you place them on for display.

Thank you. When you are starting a tree, and you want it to be 6 inches high how long should you cut your wires and how many. I also have trouble shaping my tree.

Hi Sharon! The old saying “less is more”, doesn’t apply to wire art. If you want a 6” tree, you’ll have to factor in the type of beads, how many, and how long you want the roots system. So I would cut 28 in, and 30-40 strands. As far as shaping, everyone has issues most times, I still do. Just watch as many videos, fast forward them if needed, and you’ll be a tree designer in no time! If you get stuck, email me RADCreativeArt@gmail.com
