I'm going to come up with a list of IG Reels that I can create. I thought posting about my photography gear on my blog wouldn't resonate with my clients, BUT now I see how it would show my authority in the industry. Thanks for the encouragement!
Absolutely true and golden advice! Self-authenticity as an artist is so criticized this day and age, but so important! Thank you so much Jessica for sharing!
Working on pivoting my photography business, growth has come to a standstill especially in this Pandemic! I'll definitely be starting my own lil' video journey here on youtube - and most DEFINITELY be using the idea of recycling the content to other platforms to expand! Thanks for all you do Jessica!
Jessica thanks for this. I hope you see me. I have a question? I feel kind of intimidated right now because photographers tend to photoshop photos a lot and I feel like I’m more organic like you or Emily Soto . What do you think about not processing the skins. Is it necessary to make them look like plastic dolls all the time? How do you feel about enjoying their real looks? You know just using some presets and fixing tiny details but letting the model just feel comfortable. And is there anybody here who can help me with this, would be awesome guys. I really need to know what you all think. Thanks 😏
I know this comment is 2 months old but I just saw it because I was watching this video. I think if you don't like airbrushed skin then you shouldn't do it! She was talking about being authentic in the video and you using the style that you like speaks to your authentic self! I personally don't like the airbrushed look myself. I like the natural texture of skin in photos. :) I hope my response helps and it's not weird that I answered 2 months later! Haha!
Really good tips. Gpnna take a lot of this on board. Especially the one about putting myself on my feed more. I'm always reluctant to- but it really makes sense
Jessica is one of my favourite creators on this platform, and on IG. Since Covid she has been crushing it and is consistent now more than ever. I love and appreciate her so much. Thank you Jessica for making videos like this. You inspire me.
Probably the first RU-vidr I see who asks "How are you feeling?" It's important to ask this question because often we forget to listen to ourselves and intuition, which we need to trust if we're gonna take steps forward. Great video Jessica!
Dear Jessica your dedication to your viewers is inspiring! you work for them like a lawyer for a client on death row! For that I share an experience! I must emphasize it is only based on MY experience, that is to say, from time to time I checked comments and wrote some of my own. I never found someone who shared my annoyance about the issue described below. So I may well be the rambling Muppet grandpa in the last seat row!.... @ use Instagram's q&a in conjunction with "doing what everyone does": No matter how much I like the photos, if I see below a photo series "Which one do you like most?" I run for the hills! That has become a pest! I can't help but read this as "I don't care for my photos, do with it what you will! AND I really don't care for you, just leave me a "like" and leave me alone!" The sad thing about this is, with the question is nothing wrong! It's ubiquitous and mindless use turned it into a cookie cutter routine and in the extreme, a contradiction to meaningful social interaction and this is regrettable given the exchange it could generate, if used wisely! Keep your lovely spirit! We all need it!
