Line breeding has been explained to me as a progression of offspring from a particular starting pair. Example M1 breeds with F1 and they have M2 and F2 as offspring. You breed F2 to M1 and M2 to F1, and that creates your line. That was all I had to say.

I think these are gorgeous. Being a newbie to breeding, I had to force myself to 'pick a project' due to space, etc., so I'm hoping that after the breeding season is over NEXT year, I can invest in some black night stuff. Maybe by then you'll have a few babies to sell! LOL. Thanks for the info!

Hey I’m into the same myself, I work with macksnows, tremper albinos and I have a sunglow tremper albino I’m trying too prove out the sunglow!im also 2 years in with these 🦎 I have a regular as well:)

That’s why I check on my 🦎 everyday!! My guess is that the black night was crossed with a blizzard..I won’t do any research yet I’ll wait for your help since you know my morphs Mack/tremp alb/sunglow tremp alb/and a regular any particular project you think I’d like I’m about 2 years in!bred only once a while ago!thankyou buddy

How do you keep a blacknight stay solid black? Some say must keep in a cold environment all the time in order to keep the color and provide a lot humidity.

I just recently found a gorgeous little tangerine. It has such dark beautiful oranges like the male you showed in a video. I hope it’s female so I can try to breed it with my midnight blizzard. I definitely want to get a black night too

i have a black night at work with a deformity. his name is lewis and i have to feed him worms from the tongs because he cant pick them up because he is missing the tip of his lower jaw. lil lewis cant pick up worms by himself and hates being handled. he is an absolute trooper tho im getting some squish back to his tail

Dang you really made me fall in love with the black nights definitely stunning 🤯 any chance you would want to possibly trade one for captive bred Savannah monitors or captive bred red eyed crocodile skinks. I’m not sure what the price is on them I’ve only seen them on your channel.

Thank you so much, im always up for hearing trades but right now because i ahve so many geckos i really need to niche down and stay focused before i expand out again, i got overwhlemed and had to limit the number of species i work with recently so i can focus and do really well with a select few, but i love croc skinks i heard those r possibly gonna become way more popular as time goes on so keep it up! :D

Would it be possible for two black night crosses that show little darkness still make dark black night? Or would It would it be like starting all over if these two were to breed since it’s not recessive

I know this hasn't been done before but is it possible for a breeder to breed a certain type of Leopard gecko to eventually get a blue colored offspring?

Hi my gecko’s fecal seems to look abnormal and a bone sort of object was in it although he only eats insects. I found that the bone was actually flimsy but there were also tiny white clear things also found in his loo but none of them were moving. Is this a sign of parasites?

I would need to see a picture, if your gecko looks healthy like fat body, lucious tail, i wouldnt assume parasites jsut yet. Also how long have you have the gecko and how many poops have you witnessed over that time, sometimes there is just a odd poo every now and again, but your on teh right track, diagnosing whether this is ok or not is the tricky part that relies on other factors such as the geckos apparent health, if you can see its spine that might indicate paraties, also whether the gecko is breeding can cause odd poos sometimes, and also changing food, i find mealworms the best, they are the cleanest insect free from most paraties and stored in the fridge that reduces parasites even more. message me some pics and ill try to get back as soon as possible in the meantime monitor and record how things go

I have a Black Night Het Eclipse Female and a male with only Black Night Traits. When I breed them next year, would the Het Eclipse trait effect the babies color? Or would they just turn out to be black nights?

The het eclipse would pass on genetically but not visually because u need 2 copies of eclipse for it to do anything visually. We also have a great series on recessive genetics in our video history labeled "leopard gecko genetics" 4 parts

Hm.... if you want to be breeder I would research on youtube how to breed a particular animal you are looking for. If you want to be a herpetologist, thats a deeper level of qualification that I migiht suggested taking college courses on or google searching how to become one. let me know if that helps :)

Hm....if I had to choose one to start with, I'd go dark, and then start to create your own lines. That way you'll have really dark geckos to always breed into those new lines in the future! :D

I have an adult male xanthic Hyper Bold Reverse Stripe het albino that I'm interested in getting a female for. What would be safe female morphs to breed. My male has black heart on each eyelid and I wish to pass that trait on? Just asking opinions from random sources :) as that's how I research 👍. Great review on the BK Project!!

You could breed another bold stripe to it for more bold stripes or breed a tangerine to it for more color and pattern diversity :D

as well as the punnet square videos I know those are very informative with what you need to know to breed, but you should also do a series maybe showcasing what 2 morphs offsprings would look like

Red eyes are caused by eclipse and albino combining, not tangerine, tangerine makes the gecko look orange but as for the eyes being red its eclipse and albino :)

yes eco geckos is working on a giant black night cross, and we are as well, it's just gonna take some time to develope but i would imagine other breeders are working it as well, i tried to breed my BN male toothless to a giant female this year but we didnt have success, he couldnt lock her she was so big lol, i tried a lot of times, and even in the chance he did lock her, we never got eggs from her this year so we will retyry in years to come, for now our #1 goal is the darkest black nights possible and then out crossing to all kinds of stuff along the way! :D Black pearl was another dark line that was attempted long ago, song great geckos came from it but then it disappeared, i heard that maybe the geckos didnt hold their colors as well as black night did so people left the project, a few work with it today, ill try to find out more as time goes on, black night might have even had a hand in the creation of black pearl, its so tough to know 100% where everything came from, but all dark geckos had to start somewhere and i know the black night buy has been working on his line for like 15-20 years or so, so theres a good chance people jsut used his geckos to start creating black pearl etc, but not really sure.

@@GeekyGeckoCreations btw i use komodo pure calcium without d3 but i cannot get it shipped here anymore. Really need a larger amount cost wise and forgot what you use with yours. I need without d3 calcium but all recomendations appreciated since i have so many geckos now

It was actually #1 . . .snows will have less yellow so if you look back over, you can see much more yellow on #2 :) :)
