How to start a Black Templar army in 10th edition of Warhammer 40k 

Hello! Thanks for your comment and welcome to the Black Tempalr's eternal crusade against the enemies of the Emperor! 😁. You have there a nice good start for a Black Templar army! Usually army lists with a lot of infantry and focused in melee combat plus an aggresive play style work well for Black Templars. I can see that you have a very thematic, lore army list in mind, so that sounds cool! 🙂. I wish you good luck with it and I hope that you will enjoy a lot the hobby! 😁. Meta changes all the time, so just go for what you think that is the coolest! And when expanding your actual army, think about adding something that can hit hard against vehicles or monsters, as maybe that Redemptor won't be enough 🙂. But again, you have a really nice starting point there 😁.

@@CastellanPetrus update!!! I played my first game this weekend against chaos demons of khorne!! My opponent took two bloodthirsters some nasty demon rider things and a skulltaker warlord guy with a pack of blood letters... you called it.. the redemptor and impulsor could barely scratch the thirsters... but . But.... I ran suffer not the unclean and used my Marshall to stack uphold the honor... so with one being my oath target.. I just fished for 6's with 35 chainsword attacks on 7 chainswords. Lethal/sustained hits + rerolled all hits to fish for more sweet sixes.. hell everything I had could only wound on 6's... so I just fought to auto would in the hit portion... they murdered both bloodthirsters. Castellan Coe in his finest hour slayed the demon riders after spawning from the shadow of the warp. Across the board the sword brethren led by the emperor's champion rode the impulsor into war with the second the vehicle was destroyed with one brutal stroke and killed 3 sword brethren inside. The emperor's champion came out and dealt 9 wounds to the beast... but after the beast fought back.... he exploded me with foul warp sorcery (his character ability does auto mortals after a fight phase) the dread intercepted this bloodthirster and the warlords retinue to stall them whilst the catstellan's and Marshall's crusader squads moved from across the board. The dread exploded with ferocity downing demons and the crusader showed up and claimed the real title of skull taker!! Epic game. 3 point spread and I cleared the board. SUFFER NOT THE UNCLEAN, UPHOLD THE HONOR OF THE EMPEROR, AND ACCEPT ANY CHALLENGE. FOR THE EMPEROR, FOR SIGISMUND!! considering adding a lancer to my 1000 point list and doing away with the dread/impulsor. I feel with that I can actually do some critical ranged damage to high toughness monsters

That looks like an impressive battle force already! 😮 I will always support a diversified army so you can try different play styles and experiment with different units and combos, then its much easier to know what your army is missing or as you said, start collecting units to fill out your roster ☺️. Those are a lot of miniatures to assemble and paint, so I hope that the task wont be overwhelming 😂. And of course! Thanks a lot for sharing your start and leaving a comment! 😁.
