How to start a bloodline??? 

Ten yrs ago I did this chart and found out by using A-B-C-D was the easiest way to explain for instance, Breed- bloods A(your female)xB(ur male,stud) your pups are blood AB, you like character traits from breed blood D,(diff kennel) so you breed your pups ABxD for a trait from D…. So now if you wanna keep 1 certain blood going you don’t wanna mix another blood type into it…. You wanna go back and put original blood on it… so you want AB(D-trait)xAB to go back to original blood of AB so when your female has pups most of your pups will come out AB but if you breed blood C too your AB(d)…. ABDxC…. now when your female has pups, you don’t know which blood is coming out as pups weather ABDC or AC or AB or and as you can see you can make a lot of diff options to come out and you can’t/won’t control the blood/genes. While if you go back to your original blood of AB then your chances of getting pups that are AB are much higher so this way you know what your getting, you know the traits, colors, etc NO GUESSING when pups come… now you have a certain blood that everyone that buys from you knows their getting pups with blood AB!! THIS IS JUST A QUICK OVER VIEW OF blood and genes 🧬 that helped ME to get started and learn for my own purpose…. It’s actually wayyyy more detailed this is literally just a quick over view or SKIM of how it works… but hopefully y’all understand just a little more… this is super basic, as with human genetics it’s not easy to control every aspect of a human, same with a dog! Unless you start paying thousands and thousands of dollars to send blood and genes to get tested and so on, NOT CHEAP but worth it once you got your desire I guess once again this was to help me myself and I, just putting it out there incase it’s of help to understand just a LITTLE BIT of breeding, genes, making your “own” type of dog which can and usually equals to being your brand pretty much….AB kennels lol pls no hate just trying to help expecially on this channel because he’s keeping it real and authentic to the pitbull, bully, w.e y’all call it. back in the days there was no, bully this bully that lol it was pitbull or staff lol

This is a pretty good video, but I gotta correct you guys. The male determines the genders in both human and dogs. Men determine the sex of a baby depending on whether their sperm is carrying an X or Y chromosome. An X chromosome combines with the mother's X chromosome to make a baby girl (XX) and a Y chromosome will combine with the mother's to make a boy (XY)

Just did what you spoke of. Bred a merle male to his aunty ( mom and aunty are both blue tri) NO MERLE PUPS, 9 in litter, 7 blu tri 2 lilac tri. Also all blue tri's look like mom or aunty. 2 lilacs look different, built from recessive genes.

My Merle girl just had a litter and only one out of her entire litter wasn't definitely hit the odds with her

Opening words for you you take the mother that you bred with the father and you keep a female out of it you turn around and you breed that female back with the dad then you turn around and keep him out of that and bring it back with the mom then with that first female that you took out to bring with the father and you turn around and bring it back with the mail that you then you turn around and keep a puppy out of that later and bring it back to the female that you got which would be the great grandmother then you turn around and you breed the then you want to turn around and bringing back one of the puppies either back to their grandmother and grandfather or their distance it is strictly yours

Also, you shouldn't have to explain to a person why you sell your dogs at what you sell them for......This is the price for the dog, if you would like one, put your deposit down if not keep then kindly it moving.....I understand ppl have questions and I get it....But once your question has been answered, I'm not going to sit here and go back and forth with you. Why you doing this, why you doing that, that dog not really yada yada yada....I'll sell a bulldog/ wolf hybrid for 10K if that's what I want to do and if that's not your cup of tea, then keep it moving......Ppl really get on my nerves and get my blood boiling, trying to tell someone how to run their business, household and program who has NOTHING to do with it. Males produce both X and Y which is (XY) females produce only X which is (XX) just clearing that up. So scientifically yall need to look into that. If what your saying is true when it comes to chromosomes then the pup is more genetically wired to the male. I like how you I do the same as a breeder.

I understand or understanding the theory...but I could not breed brother and sister or daddy to daughter or mom to son..I couldn't do inbreeding...I understand they are dogs and its a business but I think I'll care to much for them to look at them like a business purse'. Pitbulls get bigger then 45 pounds. It depends on the bloodline. Redboy Jocko dogs can get upwards to 70 pounds. Research waccamaws big John and mayday

Just curious when you mean “healthy” are you testing your dogs before breeding as far as ofa and other health testing or just going off of the way the dogs come out?

You are missing that genes are recessive fam.

In merles they say one in four will have gene. So if she only had small litter wouldn't surprise me if you didn't get any. I just bred Merle and we got 4 out of ten. Which is 2 more than in "theory" than I should of gotten. There is a science to getting colors you want. but really have to know pedigree and what colors they carry from parents.

Pitbulls are breed to be like marines verse army. If that analogy fits.

Was trying to find a breeder to start a new breed. My idea was to breed a beagle with a Golden retriever. Mainly to down size a Golden retriever. Similar to when they down size Dobermans or poodles. Have the low maintenance of a beagle short and the rest, with the laid back mind set or easy trainable of a Golden or any other service dog. Idea is down size the larger breed. I have a Beagle about fourteen years and he is my second beagle. They both have been, fine but at times, when walking , the hunter comes out and hard to just walk and always getting distracted by the scents and the hunters come out. I think both are loving and affectionate and loyal and the rest. But have found have to keep him detained when leaving the house.

It's hertetozygous and homozygous. Not condensed. Males have xy y females xx. A female will come out of the male if he produces the x. Plus you don't know what genres are on which chromosomes. Color a height is polygenic. The percentages will never line up.
