My go to fire starter - individual pre packaged Zip fire starter. You light the plastic covering the Zip - only one cube is enough if you’re wood is sorta dry.
I have the u-turn, and it rips! If I close the damper at all, though, it smokes me out of my Cimarron. Also, the Snow Peak torch will light a fire in no time. It's also a great way to finish off fuel canisters.
