Dude thank you for your straightforwardness which is actually needed more in the world. You tell it how it is and it allows the viewer to make their own decision
Thanks Johnny. I had everything you suggested except .... Insurance One, more thing GOD BLESSED me with A REAL catchy name. Before, I end I was able to pattern my charges after you with making price adjustment. How or where can I go to see it again. Yours was VERY HELPFUL and HINTFUL. The most I ever charge for a lawn was 70.00 I haven't had one were it was cause for more. I could share more. I JUST want to hear from you. Nor do I want to get over zealous with my price. Tag you it and THANK YOU AGAIN.
Thanks for taking the time and creating these simple videos that a lot of us have no idea where to begin to find the answers to. Here from Miami, Florida started my lawn care business in February and it’s going good so far.
Great information man seriously considering starting a lawn care business with my two boys. It's great to have someone not afraid to share the knowledge. It's obvious you're good at what you do because so many fear competition and won't share the knowledge. Appreciate you brother! Very helpful.
110% the video I was looking for that no one ever post! Many people don’t know the legal process and no one wants to explain it (in detail) thanks Johnny! 👊🏾
I have been thinking of starting a small lawn care buissnes for a about a year now. From every thing I have looked into this video is the most helpful! I've been watching this channel for about three months. Every video is great. Well worth the time spent watching.
Hey Johnny - This is really impressive content! Brand perception is a huge aspect of selecting your business name, and you explained it so well! That liability insurance is absolutely key! No one ever thinks things will happen until they do - it’s always unexpected. Thanks for the great video!
Excellent, simple and to the point video. Thanks again, Blades of Grass Lawn Care, LLC. The only thing that I would add, is to form your business as an LLC so that they can only come after your business should anything ever happen.
# 1 in my thinking is that you have to figure out if you're good at public relations before you start any service venture ! If you can't deal with people you will fail !
I'm 19 and me and my uncle do yard maintenance and small jobs and this video helped me knowing I need to be legit and be insured so I can do more residential and commercial places
Exactly I know too many guys that buy the big 61 inch mowers thinking they’re gonna mow all these big yards and they wind up getting the cookie cutter yards and then they don’t have use for that mower anymore
Not only did I find this video helpful but peaceful at the same time. I loved the music and thanks for the information. You did a great job on the lawn as well.
Wow, thanks Battle. Im all over this tutorial right here. I needed this and will put it in motion. The most important step that would have bit me in my a** would have been the insurance. Thank you for the awesome content. You really helped me on this one.
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare Hey ,am kinda stuck with adding landscaping or lawn care to my company name am starting up,not sure if I can use landscaping with just doing lawn care I would appreciate your feedback thank you have a great day.
Impressive .Thanks for your ideas job, people will have a beautiful lawn full of green accordingly, I like you video. Only thing I would respectfully disagree with is the number 4 rule of not buying equipment until you have the account. If you really want to do this line of work for a living and not just another side job, put your ass on the line and make a big investment. It will force you to become better. Unless you have a truck, a trailer, and a zero turn you can borrow at a moments notice, you don't want to have to scramble to buy a truck, a trailer, and a zero turn at a moments notice so you can secure the account. I understand and agree with his point here only to a certain point. Be smart with everything. You don't have to go overboard. But I will stand by this point until the day I die. And that point is to put your ass on the line. Make your money and commitments force you. And make damn sure you have passion. Passion is the number 1. If you don't have it, don't attempt this business. You have to love what you do in order to be successful. If you don't, don't waste your time and money.
We have this guy in our town called the yard man. He uses the home owners lawnmowers 😂 he charged my mom $60 just to push a lawnmower. Luckily I’m a nice son and cut her yard free now.
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare brother I’m a veteran working for a caretaker who’s looking to retire and your videos are very helpful.. it’s the most rewarding job I’ve had in a long time people love it when you do good work I’m hoping to end up buying him out
Another main thing to do is get a ein so you can get a business bank account I made that mistake last year and people would write out a check to the business name and my bank stopped letting me deposit them
Saw where you chimed in on Mike Vidan’s pressure washing channel live video yesterday. . Good to know y’all are friends. Told him that all your customers need their driveways pressure washed. 😂 Great info.
may I add, if you can afford the tools that's one thing. do NOT go into big debt to purchase big ticket items right now, especially unsecured ie credit card debt. . we are nearing the end of an economic supercycle. things can and will get tough out there quickly. look to purchase slightly used equipment and save 30 to 50 % . find a small biz mentor who can help keep you on the right path. you need a clearly defined set of rules written down. a rule in your head is an idea, not a rule. the words "good enough" shall never come out of your mouth. always promise little and deliver more. always keep appointments. don't hide mistakes from the customer. tell them up front, they need to hear it from you first.
I'm planning to go full time on this. I decided to provide 4 main services. 1) lawn care 2) shrub trimming 3) mulching 4) plant installation. Im doing solo. Do u think i should focus on 1 service first or do u think doing 4 services is a good start?
Great advice for the new B's l started with a dixie chopper edger trimmer blower 16 foot trailer and paid cash no dept all for about 6000 dollars not now my friend today would be double 👍👍
I’m new to your channel, and I’m new to lawn care and wanting to start my own business by myself in lawn care. I’ve gotten plenty of info from your videos.
Wana hear some prices other people have paid for liability insurance, have no idea was curious though ,just considering your by yourself landscaping and just damage to other’s properties coverage ???
Blades of Grass you guys are awesome!! Great advice and the music you played went well with the video. Some music that I hear on lawn videos is just to overwhelming. I skip those guys just saying keep it simple...
Hey Johnny. Picked up a new client. And guess what? She said it against law to blow after mowing. Ben mowing same area for ten years and never had a problem.
