To anyone who is worried about being on camera - no-one cares as much as you do. If your friends aren’t interested in your niche, they aren’t going to watch your videos just to make fun of you (and if they do, they aren’t friends!). RU-vid has so many viewers, there will be someone out there who likes your content.
sometimes sharing with our friends our newly uploaded videos will hurt the algorithm instead. They just like the video w/o watching the full video while saying they have watched it. The algorithm will think that your video is not interesting enough to attract viewers and may stop sharing with more people My new approach will be not to share with individual friends on whatsapp but just to share on facebook
Why are these two not dating, they are a perfect match!!! Two former medical students turned into RU-vidrs!!! Perfect pair!!!! -- their online engagement would go up if they were a couple!!!!
Dude he’s a doctor and he’s got five MILLION subscribers ! All he needs is to wake up with doc Izzy smiling at him and whispering Mandarin “Wo Ai Ni “😂
When i watched this video, i literally felt the chemistry between them. Lol Ali's body language and Izzy's genuine smile and today we got the NEWS hahaa congrats guys
It means so much to me to hear someone else say they're scared of what the people that know them will say... why does that feel so much scarier than complete strangers!!
Both went to the same med school, not just any school but one of the best in the world. Both do RU-vid. Small age gap. Statistical inference suggests the likelihood of them not dating is less than 5 sigma.
Thanks Izzy! I’m an architect and a musician, and like you, I’m also a woman who loves supporting other women. Keep at it. You and your videos are inspiring! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💐
Here after they announced they are getting married. Wow, had no idea they were dating. Nice couple, they have so much in common! And an inspiring video... just now I am working on my first youtube video to be uploaded in a few days to document my journey of studying psychology :) And I too feel anxious..
I used to wacth both of ur channel for study tips back in HS. Now I'm a studying in University abroad with a full scholarship. Good times. Congrats u both!!✨💗💐✨
As a doctor, I can totally relate to those initial jitters about putting myself out there. The fear of judgment from patients and colleagues can be quite overwhelming. But you know what? Ali's wisdom hit home for me too: "Nobody cares!" It's been three months since I hit that publish button, and while I'm still in the get going stages, I've already reached a thousand subscribers. Whenever that fear creeps in, I just remember that powerful mantra - nobody cares! Thanks Drs Izzy and Ali for a fantastic and inspiring video
@@davidc4408 Yes, I agree, but he didn't start out as his own boss. I am now my own boss as well but I didn't start out that way. I am nowhere near Ali or Izzy, though, and yes as I found out, nobody still cares
@@davidc4408 Sorry, didnt realise my initial comment came though. I agree with you. It is very different when you are your own boss. Having now left my salaried job, I have found greater flexibility, and I am able to do a bit more. Just like Ali, I didn't start out as my own boss either. Of course, this may not be possible for everyone at the beginning. Thanks for your insight
@@MONEYWISEDOCTOR The thing is when you are running your own business, as long as you do not do anything major controversial, then you can run how you like and there are no bosses or colleagues do judge (Alis case they are on payroll and just giving advice and helping him build his empire). Been a doctor for NHS you are always regulated, have hierarchy, colleagues and patients that could affect your career. So you never have that true freedom like Ali.
Izzy, RU-vid has also changed my life as a product designer. I'd love to see if you have a template for your business journal? This business journal is an idea that sounds super useful and fun! Would love to see you talking about your business journal!
THANK YOU Izzy for doing a video like this! So I overcame my fear and published my book and then just started my channel to go with it. I always wanted to share my financial tips with more than just friends, to make my small impact on this world if I can. I genuinely hate seeing people struggle with debt or watch them live off credit cards trying to keep up with the Joneses or the Kardashians. If you could mention my channel or my book, I would forever be humbled and keep continuing my journey of trying to make a positive impact on many people's lives as I could. Thank you again for being an inspiration! And it was nice to see another Female succeeding on RU-vid. I had initially searched on RU-vidrs with millions of subscribers or views and it's sad to see they are predominantly male. I hope this changes in the future, and glad you got over your fears, as I am still doing:) Thank you again!
I'm gonna be honest - and idk if it seems this way because these two gorgeous intelligent people already have their following and have chilled out a bit - but it's mind blowing to me how well adjusted they both seem. To the point where it's like yes, I totally understand the one-foot-in-front-of-the-other approach, but these two have this focus and serenity about their demeanor that I absolutely am nowhere near lol. And I have no idea how to remedy it - I've only figured out how to just put a bandaid for a little while. If anyone has tips about becoming a more focused person without a state of constant panic and worry that no one is gonna care about my art/music/videos/anything no matter what, please reply to this I could use some help.
Lol I get it. Here's what you do: get a time machine, convince your parents to eat healthy before conception so you get good genetics, convince them to love you growing up so you don't need as much validation from others later, then have great teachers who encourage you to improve growing up, explore your interests, and develop your brain even further. Get plenty of social validation from peers growing up by being good at something and/or attractive. Also eat healthy, exercise, get sunlight, and enough sleep. Then grow up and make art/music/videos. It's really that easy.
Such content give me so much motivation.. Because of your content I have just launched my first video and can't wait to grow and be a better person as an individual. Thank you 😊
Just go for it! Like quite literally, I was debating whether or not to even get the Part-Time RU-vidr Academy, but the thing is that you need to start producing videos and be consistent with it. I literally started mine more than a week ago and it shows, lol. The videos suck, there is no little to no editing, but you learn a ton! Keep going brother, we got this!
I'm here after the announcement - It's crazy best as I'm following BOTH without knowing their lovers. I LOVE IT - and I won with them coz I love these 2 🥰🥰
A very interesting concept! I started my RU-vid channel more as an experiment to teach other people how to build a community around an interest that they have in their life and then monetize it potentially. It draws on my own personal experience, but it is also a video journal of sorts that I want to get into. I find it fascinating about the progression of the different levels, I am definitely still in Level 1 which is to get going with it and produce more videos for the public to enjoy! Cheers!
Oh, I really like this discussion of emotional challenges of RU-vid because it hits so close to home for me. I´m still a micro youtuber, but I feel like I have grown so much from youtube even if I have a tiny small youtube channel. It started to get better when I stopped procrastinate clicking publish and just did not think too much. Now I feel like I´m building a community. It might be small and tiny, but it means a lot to me. All other youtubers are talking about gears and cameras, but I like the fact that you two touch on the emotional side of youtube!
Izzy is the best, most reassuring RU-vid star always worth watching regardless of specific topic she talks about at the time. She is amazing, beautiful, and charming.
I love to see how frienship turns into life partner. Hope they will continue to be friends and love each other. They have very good understanding. Jusging from only one video😅
Subscribed after watching your video from Ali Abdaal's channel. Loved your genuine interview. Kudos to Ali abdaal for knowledge sharing as always andletting us know about you 😊.
Finally after 1 month, am glad to see the notification. Hi Dr Izzy, I miss you. Thank you for having this conversation with Ali and talking about How to Start a Life Changing RU-vid Channel. Have a nice day! 🧡
this was all super helpful! i’ve been wanting to start in a specific niche but i tend to get into a rut and overthink because of that. being an archeologist is such a great example of not to set your niche early on
I greatly appreciate this information for my brand new channel , WORK HARD PLAY HARD. I'm literally beginning the first video this weekend. Now I have a question, is it me or is this guy talking really really fast? LOL just kidding, and congratulations to both of your successes! Keep your fingers crossed for me and wish me luck. ✌️👊
What a lovely video! Inspiring to watch while slowly and hopefully placing my first steps on that YT journey! Can fully confirm PTYA is awesome to help you wrap your head around all those concepts which you dive into all at once. Also a fantastic space to start making connections with other creators which is incredibly helpful and motivating + you'll learn something from everyone around you!
This and Ali’s video have helped my mindset greatly. I am now looking forward to creating my next RU-vid video instead of feeling so beleaguered by it. These two videos helped me get my head back in the game and figure out my why and my how. Thanks!
To all small content creators, do not give up! Your time will come just keep putting consistent good quality videos! Sending you all lots of success your way💖💖
