I’m repeating what others have said, but you keep doing what you think is best for your customers. You’ll figure out the best price to charge as you get more experience. Stay positive and keep working. I enjoy your videos.
Love watching your videos man! Keep up the good work! If charging what you are charging people make sense to you that’s great. God bless and keep grinding god has you in his hands. Trust the lords process.
Great video Just FYI. I have added landscaping material delivery 4 months ago to my business and I charge $150 per load up to 6.5 tons per trip. I am in Arizona. Its all a learning process.
Hey keep up the good work most of these people seem like they don’t know how it is when your starting a business like u said do small jobs to get the big jobs later on word of mouth means a lot in businesses like these
Exactly my point I’m glad you understand where I’m coming from when I say these things a lot of people in the comment must not really be in the field working everyday
new subscriber to the best of RU-vid channel, excellent tips and information for those of us who have just started, congratulations 👏👏👏👏greetings from Texas
Put the stock wheels and tires on the truck, will save you alot of Gas and will run smoothly on the road, Also you need to charge at least 200 bucks per delivery, 100 is to cheap.
@@EntreprenuerDavis i see, but sont forget you truck will look more professional without those fancy wheels and tires, trust me i use to have them in my truck, now im saving money and gas plus my truck looks professional.
Brother, I'm sorry but $100 for an overloaded load is definitely not worth it. You have to keep in mind you are putting extra wear on the truck, trailer and spending more on diesel it's probably costing you 100 a load in wear n tear with fuel 🤷♂️
@@EntreprenuerDavisthat’s not what he’s talking about. You are using your time, your equipment, your trailer and your fuel to haul off dirt just for $100 a load is extremely cheap. You have top notch equipment. For example, what did you pay yourself per hour? For the whole hours worked on this job of hauling dirt. Not just the drive but the time waiting to get loaded..
I’m starting a business in North Florida and want to start with a dump trailer to make money to get a small excavator or mini skid. Starting with a Ram 1500 and 14ft dump trailer. Thoughts or suggestions? Thank you for your insight on your channel. I’ve learned a lot from you.
Thoe you aint going backwards - You're probably not gaining much either. The only way this makes sense is when you don't have jobs/work for your skid steer and stuff. Whenever I do a job.I always look at the numbers but also have to ask myself. What more lucrative thing do I have going on?And that is the determining factor because some $$ is better than none! Keep hustling brother
If it took you roughly three hours to complete that job your whole set up is making roughly 67$ per hour minus your over head so your fuel and you also have to value your time you will have to raise your prices specially if you got that monthly payment in that truck and trailer
Right even side hustles have to produce profit and over head is your time as well has to be accounted for you have to include maintenance on your trailer and truck because if you do this over time wear and tear on your truck and the way you load it you will need to invest money into good maintenance for both your truck and trailer but you are correct it’s none of my business carry on
If someone is interested in this type of work/business but has no experience how would you recommend to acquire that experience? How did you learn these skills?
I’m going to be creating a creator class for people who are trying to get into this work. If you were talking about specific operating then the best way is to just get hours in the seat with experience in this line of work you just naturally get better and more confident in operating machines.
@@EntreprenuerDavis I’m having trouble finding companies that will take me on part time or per diem, to get that experience. My main job is in public safety so it’s tough revolving it around my schedule
That a 14' trailer? Would love to see how you load with more than just a bucket! Had a hard time with that myself. Looks like you load an attachment in the front then back the skid on with a bucket?
16 footer and no I only have a brush cutter so I load the skid with the brush cutter and I push my small bucket on the back with my hand conveniently my bucket is very small so it works out
