I just find it a little crazy that I already am on your out the mud list and then I started researching notary info and found you the first video I clicked on. Of all the channels!! I’m in McMinnville and about to move Knoxville. At some point I definitely want to talk to you. You are a great speaker and teacher. I’m 4 months pregnant and thinking about what work that could be a great compliment to raising the baby. I ran my own business for 5 years in events before Covid and it was going well but I had to close it because of Covid. @@shannonbuckley1689 Such a small world! Congratulations on the baby!! You 100% should get your notary commission. It is literally hands down the best way to start a small business. But not for the reasons that you would think. It's not about doing notarizations or loan signings. It's the fact that as a notary, you are sworn to do the public no harm so people trust you so much faster. The last few years I've been in this space more and more notaries are starting to wake up to the fact that it's not about loan signings or notarizing documents. It's about providing a service to individuals or businesses that require discretion and where trustworthiness is of high importance. For example, years ago a Florida notary by the name of Cynthia Alexander created the Notary Permit Runner™. She was a pioneer in 'marrying' the Notary status along with a service that was already in the marketplace. Another notary Bill Soroka created the Certified Notary Trust Agent and the Certified Reverse Mortgage Signing Professional. Both centered around 'marrying' the Notary status along with a pre-existing service already in the marketplace. In my case, I've created the Certified Notary Medical Courier™, Certified Virtual Assistant™, Certified Notary Real Estate Assistant™ (archived and not currently available due to market trends) and most recently the Notary Mailbox Agent™. Everyone of my programs, I do myself. I've gone after VA Courier contracts using my Certified Notary Medical Courier™ marketing. I'm teaching other notaries how to help small businesses do the same thing with the Certified Virtual Assistant™. And I'm really excited about the Notary Mailbox Agent™ because it is a work from home low capital business as well. It's basically a precursor to opening an independent mailbox store. I'm about to upload a video to this channel in a few. But bottom line, get your notary commission! From there, find a way to marry it to a pre-existing service where there is legitimate demand. I'm working with a former paralegal right now to develop a Skip Tracing Side Hustle for notaries in the real estate space. Skip tracing in the legal space is highly regulated and may require a private investigator license. In TN it's a 100 question test and $140 testing fee. So, that's not a bad option either if you're good at finding people. But if you didn't want to do that, you can get your notary commission and help investors find property owners or heirs of vacant or probate properties. By being a notary, they will trust you with their leads etc much faster than if you didn't have it. That's going to hold true in anything you 'marry' the notary commission with.
