1. What equipment do I need to get started in snow removal?
2. How much should I charge for snow removal?
3. Should I get residential or commercial snow removal customers?
4. What are your snow removal contract tips?
Please comment on this video if you have other questions we should address!

You mentioned something about watching a website for 1" of snowfall. I've looked all over and can't find a website that provides up to date snowfall totals, only the next day it will show the previous day totals. I'm in West Fargo. Thanks!

Thanks for watching. We base everything on the NWS. Typically, local observations are updated every 6 hours. Until then, you will have to do your best to guess accumulation totals and send crews out. Once you get through a season or two, you will be able to anticipate what the NWS will report for your area. Here is the link: www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/nearest/index.html?city=Fargo%2C+ND&county=&l=5&u=e&y=2021&m=12&d=25

I would like more videos on how do you pay snow removal employees being that it only snows over an inch 10-15-20 times a season? What do they do for money when it's not snowing? Best equipment to get started in residential snow removal in the Fargo area? How to get more residential customers? How do you deal with random drifting on customers property when it's not snowing an inch maybe a 1/4 inch but they get drifts? What about the plow coming back after the 1st round and maybe it's not much but enough to leave a "berm" at the end of someone's driveway? I enjoy your videos and look forward to your knowledge. Thanks!

Forgot to add that lots of people don't want a truck plow on their property, they want a snowblower of whatever type to distribute the snow instead of a huge mound on their grass at the end of the year

Thanks for all your suggestions on what to cover. These are great questions too. Would you be interested in setting up a call in the next few days to talk through it some more?

I don't know if you charge for a call but I'm guessing you do and I can't afford something like that. I don't have a business but I"m genuinely interested in doing snow removal to earn a little extra income in the winter.

Awesome content! Currently in Kansas City we’re getting our first measurable snow event (2-5”) so far we only have a dozen or so small parking lots, small mom and pop business + 25 driveways. Ideally I’d love to have a lot more commercial properties but I’m struggling to get in touch with the actual property manager. For example US Bank is done through a National maintenance company based in New Jersey that then sub contracted back to a local dude for a fraction of what it should be done for. I’ve heard the same stories for other big box retailers such as Home Depot and lowes. I would like to work directly for the property managers rather than be a sub for a big company. Any advice on “cold calling “ property managers? I would like to have exclusively 100% commercial snow removal Ana good chunk of our landscaping and tree division doing more commercial work as well.

@@TheLandscapingLifestyle just sent you an email, probably one of the nicest plow setups on RU-vid hands down lol. Is Protech big up in North Dakota?
