Becca, thank you for your very enthusiastic video presentation on TPT! I am a speech-language pathologist with some TPT ideas, but I didn't think I could set up a store. You have changed that mind-set with your positive energy and practical ideas for newbies like me. I now plan to binge-watch ALL of your videos on this fascinating topic! Thanks again!!!
Thank you for helping me firm up the decision to create items! I just retired from teaching kindergarten, and I have always enjoyed making things for my classroom and teacher friends, so it looks like a good fit! I needed a starting point and now I have one!
Product lines are everything - they help simplify marketing later as you have built in content pillars to take through a repeatable marketing workflow. I totally agree that doing that from the start is the way to go.
Wonderful introduction video...this has been my stopping point to just beginning and sharing my teaching ideas... How to design the page with interesting fonts and graphics, borders, etc. It is no longer a mystery...POWERPOINT!! Many thanks!!
I’m so glad I came across your video!! I’ve been saying I should start a TPT store, but I always thought I’m not creative enough to come up with resources..but watching this I realized I can amp up and add more to what I already use in the classroom right now!! I made my own notes for the common core standards math modules and it dawned on me that I can base my store off of that to start! So thank you!!!
Yes! Your products actually don’t need to be super crazy creative. A lot of time is the best selling products are the simplest ones. Because those are the things that people actually need. And as you start with that you will get more creative as time goes on
@@BeccaDavis I’ve created 34 resources on TES a uk site like TPT and all my resources are free. However it’s been downloaded over 2400 times and I only received 5 reviews. So now I’ve decided to charge for all my resources! At least now I know it will be appreciated lol 😀👍🏿
This video was so helpful! I started a RU-vid channel for my class and next stop... a TpT store! Wish me luck! You certainly are giving great tips on how to get started! Thank you! Subscribed!
Great video! Very helpful. I started my store last night and I am eager to upload my products tonight. I’ve been creating them for a few weeks. 😊 Thanks again for your encouragement!
Thank you so much for this! I teach Elementary Band, Strings, and Recorder and not general music. I feel like my niche has the potential to do well with a TPT store! It is hard for me to find music resources simple enough for my grade level (with instruments) but not too challenging and complicated as well! I LOVE Canva and am already good at using it! I could probably have 10 products ready for the start of my store. I’ve been binging your videos lately and they have been SO helpful! I will be implementing your class rules (with rhythm) and also your card system starting next year! Thank you for all you do! ❤️🎶
Thank you Becca for making this video, it was very helpful! I love creating products too! I’m looking forward to this new journey. I subscribed to your channel!
Hey Becca! I listen to your videos while I’m working on resources to keep me going! I definitely get motivated by my will to post my product, like then I’m close to being about to post it 😂 Thanks for your videos !
I've been watching your videos to start a toy but I found your toy page and may just buy your book based learning pack for my 3 kiddos! Make more please!
This is extremely helpful and nice of you! Which video of yours would show how to create cover page and the credits page (at the end)? I enjoy listening to your videos even if I never get a TPT store started! LOL!
Thank you this was great. I wish I would have found this before Winter Break. Now I am back in the classroom. First day back, my plan is to just start! I will probably look like a stalker on your channel. lol.
I've watched basically all your videos and I'm taking all the advice. I started on TPT about 7 years ago, uploaded 2 okay assignments and one pretty good one. The good one has been downloaded like 18,000 times and I'm kicking myself for not pursuing it more earlier. You were the spark of inspiration I needed!
Can you create worksheets for popular books or read alouds? As long as you don't use copyright images on the worksheets? Are there any other stipulations
Hey Becca, thank you for all your content and helpful tips. You do a wonderful job. I have a question about copyright. Can you use sentences from books within your resources and can you use parts of pictures from books? Thank you. Kai
Hi Becca, You mentioned that you like to incorporate activities to go along with books. Is there somewhere that you can buy images to go with picture books?
Hello Becca, I am an elementary school teacher and I want to start a TPT store. I found your videos and you are great. The information you are sharing is great. Should I focus on creating one large product that costs more or several smaller products that are low cost? Thank you.
I just started my store! And I watched your videos to learn 🤩 I have a question, can Canva clip art and fonts be used ? If so what should I credit. I’m having trouble understanding their terms. Thank you 😊
Yes they can be used. They don’t even ask for credit although you can add “fonts and clip art from Canva” if you want. Just search “Canva terms of use” and it will pop ip
This is very helpful, and I thank you from my ever-lovin' heart! One question: Am I correct in assuming that it is easy to go in and edit a product after you've posted it? For example, you might to change a thumbnail or add a video preview.
When you're making a product, do you know which of the tax codes you're supposed to select when setting it up to publish? Like, they have the option between: Audio, Books, Videos, Digital Images, Other Digital Goods, but what if you have a packet or bundle that has all of these things? Or what if it's a Powerpoint that has a streaming video embedded into it, etc? I tried asking TpT, but their bot just says they can't give tax advice. Lol, not looking for tax advice, looking for which of their drop down menus does my product apply to.
Thanks for the helpful video!:) I was also wondering if I can double list etsy clipart on tpt, because I already have a shop on Etsy and trying to sell on TPT too.
Hi Dara! That's amazing! I'm sure that your content could still be applicable to high school, but you might want to do a quick search and see if other people are selling adult ESL products. Regardless, I'm sure it could work!
I don’t think so! Although I would make sure to include some products that work year round- so you could do like author studies or talk about black inventors, or different things like that. But I know my school does a lot of those activities!
Hi! I use Quicktime, which came free on my Mac. You can also get Screencastify, which is a Google Chrome add on that's free if they are under like five minutes I think.
What are some websites we can use to download images to use in our TpT resources that wouldn't violate any copyright laws? I've heard classroom clipart is a good, inexpensive option for images, but are we allowed to use them in TpT resources that we sell?
I am having a terrible time uploading my product along with a square main cover. it says to compress folder, but it won't work for me. and I can't do a ppt with different size pages. what am I doing wrong?
Hi Becca! You mentioned to copyright your work what type of copyright did you register f your work. So what type of copyright did you register for standard or individual? I am art in music as well but also integrate the content areas.
Hi! I would like to start my store n TPT but I have no idea how should I do it! How do I promote or how should I start. I've checked out your courses and it looks great! However, if I sign up and have questions, how do I ask you? And, what course do you recommend?

Hi 👋 I'm a paraprofessional and I have a art degree in illustration and I wondering is teacherpayteacher is proper place to sell clipart and animation for school?
Great video Becca! I need help 😂 I'm kind of scared to upgrade my account to premium. I have made enough money this month to upgrade but I'm kind of scared because what If I don't make enough money to pay for like next year for example. Sorry for this silly request
That’s a pretty common concern! It’s only $60 so if you think you’ll make $60 in the next year, go for it! You could even keep that in your account before spending any money
