Hello great channel but I see that you still don't have a logo for your RU-vid channel ... That could be a face of your great job that u can use in insta, Facebook ... Etc ...
I’m about to start my new channel! I’m so excited! Thank you Gillian Perkins for sharing your wonderful information and ideas with us to help us get started!
Just start recording. Do it every day. Forget about expensive equipment. You might buy it in the future. People wanna get context more. Test a lot with topics; then, you'll find what works for you. I'm talking a lot about this on my channel.
I am ready to set up a little video area and have been looking for lighting...what do you recommend? I was thinking 2 soft boxes and then one LED light? or should I go with 3 soft boxes? From what I am reading I need 3. Thank you
Actually there are two biggest steps - starting and continuing. There are too many who started and when the success did not come in a short period of time, they got frustrated, gave up and quit for good.
I remember watching this videos a month ago and two months ago before I finally got the courage to start ! I love craft and I'm sharing my Diy and recycling craft with the whole world !!! In a short time i'm 20 people away from 300 subscribers !!
All small RU-vidrs stay consistent and I wish you & your channel the best of luck! Patience is key, I’m just starting my channel and I’m learning patience💗 btw great video!!
Time to just go for it, take a leap into action and be willing to make mistakes. Making mistakes is actually learning and growing and you will be ahead of those who are too afraid to make any mistakes!
Happy that you encourage new creators to start and stay optimistic! I hear all the time people complaining about youtube being over saturated but I think there is space for everyone who is determined to put the needed effort 💚✨
Was pretty difficult to create my first video - I found talking to the camera to be the hardest and most counter intuitive part. I think my editing might have saved it.
I found your video so helpful! Thanks for sharing. I also checked some of your other videos. I like the way you talk and smile and your channel in general. Totally subscribing! 😊
Thank you for the VALUABLE information Gillian! I recently discovered your channel and have loved it! I feel like your ideas are exactly what I need to get my channel off the ground more quickly! Thank you!!
I was hesitant to start a channel but you inspired me and now I am about to start. You always give amazing information. Thank you Gillian, you are such a motivational force.
Your videos have inspired me to start *MY OWN RU-vid CHANNEL* ! I am so happy to say that I now have two videos uploaded to my channel and so many ready to go _each week_ . You were what drove me to embark on this journey and I want to say *THANK YOU* !
I am watching you channel for advice on starting my very first video as I am in the middle of writing a book, which has been a dream of mine for YEARS!!! Thank you for the inspiration! :)
Gillian- great video! My biggest takeaway was that it’s important to work with the algorithm and it takes a lot of the work out of it. I used to share a lot of my videos on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and it did not impact my channel’s growth. Something I learned is that staying on RU-vid and commenting on channels within your channel’s niche or topic, you can get great organic traffic to your channel that way and it will cause spike in the algorithm and get more eyes on your channel 😃. I’m still new to RU-vid but Gillian, just so you know, your channel is THE RU-vid channel that inspired me to create my own personal finance and personal growth channel. I remember back when you had 25k subscribes
I'm an introvert and always been afraid to throw myself out there. I think RU-vid is a great way to come out of my comfort zone and step ahead to interact with others (audience in this case). I've always loved video games ever since I was a kid and started a small gaming channel. Good luck to me! :)
I started my channel back in 2014 and quit.. I have started AGAIN this year. I’m older, have better ideas and have the commitment this time!! I’m SO PROUD of the content I’m putting out and I know that working hard will benefit me in the end! 💖✨ thanks for the tips
🌟I am just heading into month 2 and I can't believe I have found something I am so passionate about doing! I am 1000% calling in the ability to help/connect with so manyy people AND live in abundance JUST BEING ME!!! sounds so good to ...write...lol!!! much love and success to ALL! 🌟
I started a channel documenting my family’s new lifeliving in Georgia. We recently relocated from New York and it’s a way to just to track our journey!
Great video! I searched on RU-vid how to make RU-vid channel and found your channel. First, of all you are so gourgeous and beautiful. Secondly, I'm also trying to start a channel. Infact, it's already created the which I'm using to comment. Third, I have learned so many things like what are the things required to start a channel and still learning. The more I deep down, the more I'm learning new things about RU-vid. These are the things learned so far. A)A topic is extremely important. B)How to make and use thumbnail? C)How to use intro in the video? (Still searching a free and good app, software to make) D)Content. E)Found some editing softwares. F) Description and tag part G)The music part. You, see it's not difficult to make a RU-vid channel. The most difficult part is to select a niche, start making videos and the editing part. I'm not able to decide a topic. This is something giving me headaches and make me frustrating. I desperately wanted but not able to choose. What to upload? Last but not the least you speak nonstop and that's a skill I want to master. I speak fluently with people over the phone but sadly not for a video. What are your thoughts?
After lot of watching tips and tricks finally created my channel.. still learning and finger crossed 🤞🏻. Really hope to succeed one day like you. just need some initial support🤗
Gillian these are some of bright ideas and advise on starting the RU-vid channel for the beginners. The first step to overcome hesitation with planning is always effective in successful execution of the tasks with dedication and commitment. ✨
I’m brand new to RU-vid and you videos are very very educational..... hopefully will launch the first one in a month time 👌🏻👌🏻.... after I’ve watched your videos
Very helpful steps. I've almost made it to 200 subscribers so far. It's definitely been a learning experience. Competitor research has helped the most. 💜
2nd time watching this video. . .thank you for the extensive content you have shared on this video. I learned something . . . again! Keep up the useful help!
What I specifically love about your videos, is your setup. All white and bright :) I I love my current home office, but I'd love a bigger one, so that I could have more shooting angles. 🎥
"Almost everyone's videos are pretty terrible at the beginning" Peter Hollens' weren't. Honestly, for reals, if you watch his videos, you should go watch his first one, because the quality is legitimately pretty good.
Just starting back up on my channel which is about my bucket list, goal setting and life optimization. This vid is really helpful. I’m going to try these keyword tools.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful information on how to start a successful RU-vid channel. I'm excited and look forward to watching your workshop. Much gratitude😀😀
Hi, i Love your channel sm and you have given me so much advise and tips! I was wondering what are some good editing apps for me to begin me youtube channel?
My 12-year-old son with autism started a channel. His is about his adventures with autism and strategies that have helped him throughout his life. Some videos will be about him learning and performing self-help skills, going on adventures, how he looks at the world differently. It started with me filming with him or for him and it will transition into him filming for himself. His channel is called I am Brandon: My Adventures with Autism
It was helpful video! I already started my channel last summer and I think the hardest part is to grow your channel and get monitized. But I really hope if I continue posting and improving my videos my channel it will be successful one day ))
Such a helpful video, I started my channel in August last year and have been uploading 3x a week ever since. I want to grow my channel really organically so I am in the process of trying to grow it as much as I can so videos like this are so helpful ❤️
It's videos like these that give hope to us small RU-vidrs. To the person reading this, you will become the RU-vid star that you always dreamed of. I know it!
