You have to make sure your role has access to EC2. Once you do, make sure the instance is in the same VPC if you used a vpc in your function. That should make it work.

@@primusvekuh Cheers, bro I chose the 'AmazonEC2FullAccess'. I didn't use the VPC in my function. So I have no idea now. It doesn't work.
