I had to go back to work 3 Weeks after my son was born. So i introduced a bottle with breast milk as soon as possible. I didn't start formula for almost 2 months. I have it to him once a week mixed with breast milk. Now he can take either breast or bottle as well as breast milk or formula. I do prefer breast as his main feeding
Hi! I have the same similar situation with my son. I breastfed him when he was born, and introduced the bottle w/my breast milk as a newborn. Now that he is 6 months and I’m back in the workplace, he is taking the bottle while I’m away, and when I’m home with him, he nurses. I find it a smooth transition if you bottle feed the babe as a newborn. It also worked out bc our sons were able to take turns feeding him. 😊
ok so my husband wants me to be able to get her on the bottle for him because i go to work and its been very stressful. Baby has only eaten solids while I'm gone and refuses the bottle. I am extremely anxious that my baby will not get enough nutrition. Is he the only one who can really get baby to take bottle? Any advice?
I didn't have a problem with my daughter taking the bottle, but I also used a nipple shield for a while so that might have helped me. I don't use the nipple shield anymore and she only gets bottles whenever I'm not at home to give her the breast.
Hi, thank you for your video. My baby is 6 months old. He absolutely refuses the bottle. I’ve tired everything!! Different bottles , flow, and nipples. Won’t take any of it. I tried at 4 months and he only took the bottle twice and then refused it, cried and cried. I gave up. The other night he woke up one extra time during the night that he usually doesn’t. I had just had a drink, so I couldn’t nurse so bottle was the only option. He took it no problem (say what???) ever since then, won’t take it at all.. kicks and screams, turns his head. I know he can and knows how too. But won’t. So I’m not sure what to do. I’m wanting to wean him off the breast but at this rate, it won’t happen. Help me please
I've been trying since he was 3.5 months old, he cried a lot initially..we used to offer every single day, out of 100 times he took like once/twice only... We started using dropper now as I've to resume work soon.. My baby used to reject formula too! But as he's 6 already, I added some fruits into the formula which changed the taste/flavour and he loves it(still using dropper though)... Try different formula brand maybe
omg. how r u doing now? im currently facing this problem. he is 6m old. crying bcos of the bottle. apparently what happened to me what i had diarrhea and my milk dropped! luckily got previous ebm. but as expected, rejecting the bottle. also doesnt feel full enough with breast. sigh
Melissa, did you also see my comment about letting babies cry it out?? How do you feel about this method? I'm having trouble getting my 4 month old to bed. She just cries unless I feed her to sleep which I'm trying not to do anymore so she doesn't wake up every two hours at night to feed. If you have time to reply that would be great! Thank you!
Hi Melissa, my 4 month old will feed a couple times during the night then in the morning will not want to feed for sometimes 5 hours, how do I get that 5 hours to be at night??? She wakes every 3 hours in the night and wants to feed. I've tried everything I can think of:(
Going thru this with my 8 month old. He won't take the bottle at all! He eats food at nursery but refuses the bottle - both expressed breastmilk or formula. Then he nurses like a starving man when he gets home. But I will continue trying.
My baby is almost 8 months old and still wont take the bottle. She used to go back and forth just fine but the older she got, the more she rejected it. I am now trying to introduce the sippy cup so hopefully she will start drinking from that.
@Team Queen’ s Fearn Tucker and Bentley Forever maybe your parenting is different but it gives you NO right to tell someone their parenting skills are "disgusting". you need to check yourself. We shouldn't be momshaming. Motherhood is hard enough.

@Team Queen’ s Fearn Tucker and Bentley Forever This video is for 6 months old so I was aware we were talking about 6 MONTH OLDS. All a newborn does is sleep and eat. That's all they do up until about 2 months. I was talking about a 6 month old child who sleeps all night and only takes two naps during the day. You have to entertain them to keep them happy. You cant just set them somewhere for the day.

Some six month olds take 3 ,some take 2, some take 1. EVERY CHILD IS DIFFERENT. Some babies learn to crawl at five months some at six or seven. Like I said before, teething and illness are big factors. Right now my 6 month old takes 2-3 naps a day that last 1-2 hours because she is teething.
My daughter would only take 1 bottle from her dad yesterday. Then cried & cried until she fell asleep because I was at work. We've been trying to get her on bottle this past week because I went back to work. Help! She's 3 months old. The most she's ever taken in 1 day is 2 bottles like 3 weeks ago. What if your husband is not with you due to work...and your mil is not helping much as she feels 6 months is too late to start with a bottle and kept saying that the baby should be given bottle earlier n she is crying.

Priyanka Sharma I actually was able to break the cycle New Year’s Eve I had to let her cry and hag I did was basically wait till the morning when she was the hungriest and I only gave her the bottle with breast milk mixed with formula and from there on I slowly stopped putting the breast milk in the bottle and she was okay check out my RU-vid page like and subscribe I’ll probably talk about it in one of my videos
