How to Start Homeschooling 2022-2023| Homeschooling for Beginners 

I loved homeschool. I was homeschooled in the 90’s, and my learning increased. I don’t blame parents for homeschooling these days: between the violence, shootings, bullying and politics-it’s the best option. This way you know your child is safe and learning what you want the child to learn as a parent.

As a single mom, I have been conditioned to think, I wasn’t in a position to work and homeschool my children. However I’m stepping out on faith and I will be learning with my children as well. I have a 6 year old , and a 4 year old. I’m so nervous and excited again thanks for the tips and thank you for giving me confidence Update 01/07/2024 Tomorrow’s our first day of homeschooling. I also start nursing school this year (nightshift program). I have a 4th grader and 2nd grader. When prayed as family for this moment and we are now doing it 😊. Thank you for this video again ! Im a sahm and felt lost! Definitely made me cry and realize this is what God has called me for! I am called to be a mother and his teacher. Thank you for this video it gave me confirmation on what God wants for me.

I'm a grandmother and retired teacher. I am homeschooling my granddaughter to help out my daughter who has two younger ones. I enjoyed your video. I would like to offer a suggestion. I have found that it is helpful to introduce a subject that is new to both you and your child and set a little time out to learn something together. It gets the kids more involved and opens up their ideas about learning. Watching how they help you grasp a new concept gives you a clearer understanding of how they process information. My granddaughter and I are learning Morse Code as an addition to our regular curriculum. We are having fun with it.

I’m so glad I came across your video. My son is 4 and has social anxiety and just couldn’t grasp the traditional school setting. I had to take a step back and think about it, but the more I dwelled on it, the more I realized I was making the right decision withdrawing him from public school. Today was his last day and I’m going to use to the Christmas break to build his curriculum

Goodness God knew I needed this video today. I just finished my first big year of homeschool and hadn't done any formal assessments. Well, we did today and it did not go well. This is an awesome video. Very encouraging! I say we are trialing homeschool this summer during break but I plan on jumping in and doing this for the school year. I just need Jesus with me every single second. I work from home full time and kind of stress about getting everything in right away when the kids are up because that’s when they’ll likely be the most cooperative. I’m probably overthinking.

WOW! Your advice is on point. I'm a new home 🏡 Mom! I started my daughter's lessons on August 15, 2022 and I must say it has been a journey already. However, you mentioned that you should pray before going into homeschooling, which is so important and I did just that before we started. I have a full time job where I work from home and sometimes it gets very demanding, but I make the time to ensure my daughter is taught more in the subjects she struggles in and then focus on the easier subjects she excels in. We definitely make it work and I'm definitely learning as well again about myself and what is the best way to teach and grow with my child. I could go on and on but I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!
