time attack is so you won't have some clown smash into your project car you worked years 2 build... racing without contact
@scenicroutetravelers3655
@scenicroutetravelers3655 5 лет назад
time attack= trying to break track records. They have started doing "tailgating" which has two cars on track at a time. One leads one lap, then they switch, then do a third lap if needed. the object in that style is to try and close the gap on the lead car.

Fun video, but not very informative. More of a vlog and less like a guide to get into racing. You mentioned a couple different options including karting to work your way onto the track but the majority of the video was comprised of you passing noobs on the track. I would be really interested if you made an ACTUAL guide as to how to introduce yourself into racing and the best way to immerse yourself in it, but you already knew what you were doing and skipped many of the things that people would be concerned about.
@pfitz9346
@pfitz9346 6 лет назад
I think what he meant with the video was that it was really that easy as he showed it in the vlog. Grab your car, roll up to the track and say "I want to drive" and they'll let you drive for a fee. Only difficult thing to work out at that point is when and where you go.

Hi Kingbee I understand how frustrating it could be to get a guidance of how to get started in racing (professionally) I can tell you as a fact that all professional racers started in karting. I have shared 4 basic steps that I call 1. Research of kart gatherings or competitions in your city! (When we first started we attend street kart races!) 2. Enroll in a Karting school 3.get the basic equipment 4. Seat Time! These are the very basics, but it's the right start ;)

For me, as someone who has no racing experience, I would LOVE time attack. No one on the track, constantly improving and trying new things, everything is under my control. I can push myself exactly how hard I want to and no outside forces can mess with me. Sure, moving to regular racing would be the goal, but improving your time and getting more consistent at the track is always nice, especially when things go wrong and you need to react.

Time attack is still wheel to wheel racing, just without the contact and cost. Its not about focusing on a car next to you, but how fast you can drive giving 100% focus to the car and the road. If you crash its on you and not a frustration from someone going too hard to keep up with you

Step Three: Make sure you haven't done any of the following: A. Had kids. B. Bought a house. C. Gotten into any sort of long term financial commitments. Step Four: Sink everything into a fast car. Step Five: Eat shitt to save money for tunes, upgrades, and track days. Step Six: Obsess over nicer cars and constantly upgrade.

Hi, I do not know if it has been assessed yet but isn’t there a roll bar launching up in 911 cabrio? Not that it’d be as safe and stiff as coupe but you might have an open casket at your funeral - from cabrio to cabrio with hardtop :) On a track with reasonable safety zone you’ll just come with a coupé bought with insurance money from salvage of the previous 911. Anyhow, be careful and have fun. The beers mentioned in the vid can take the edge off from nervousness :€

I thought it was quite helpful. He captured the most important points: it is fun, it is fun and it is fun. Spend 10 hours preping yourself and your car (mostly yourself), you don't need a great car (it does have to be decent) and almost everyone is helpful. They do sell track insurance, which is expensive and does give you piece of mind. As far as the parking break goes, "everyone" will tell you not to set it ... just leave the car in gear or park. BTW nothing wrong with automatic transmissions, most convertibles, street tires etc etc for DRIVERS EDUCATION, less knowledgeable people may give you some attitude but they don't impress a real driver.

Jerry Maguire im fifty fifty on it. When it comes to pushing the limit of vehicle performance and driver skill rally is far better than rallycross. When it comes to having fun sometimes having other drivers out there with you is exciting. Me personally though, I drive to relax and get into a flow state sometimes and for that time attack is the best personally. I can focus on hitting a line rather than jockying for position. When it comes to exciting racing all about having a good fight for position.

I think the appeal of time attack is that it's all you. Your skill, your car. So winning is just about who is the most skilled and who has put the most time into their car. There are no random outliers like you would find in a wheel to wheel race (drafting, somebody being in the middle of your line or blocking).
