No mater how many tutorials I watch I just can’t seem to get a decent spin 😩 I can do thing like waltz jumps and mapes jumps but I just can’t spin! Any advice?

Morgan O'keeffe omg i feel the same way, ive been told its because the bearings in my skates need to be loosened but i dont think that is. im so confused how you do it hahah.

obscvritas if youre not an expert then you wont get it, this comment was six months ago and it was bedause my bearings were tught and rusting so i had to get a fresh pair of skates, and now i can do triple one foot spins, lots of rounds of 2 foot spins and lots of jumps

Thank you for this. I am planning to go roller skating. I was exposed to ice skating and roller blading around 10 to 17 years old on and off. I am not a pro or anything near that. I just enjoyed it truly. I went ice skating again last 2018 then stopped. But this time i really wanna get good at it. I am now 32 though. Is that too late? What are your thoughts on a plus size skater? Should I lose weight first before I start practicing again? I’d like to know your opinion. 🧡 Thanks in advance. 😊

@@chelsibittle2702 I’m a newbie also been skating for about 2 almost 3 weeks and I started doing front to back transition turns, still looks mechanical but I’m getting it and I started turning from this tutorial 3 days ago... it’s pretty easy if I just go for it but also scary I fell a bit but practice makes better❤️

Look up spotting. It's where you focus on a spot in the distance while your body spins and when you've turned too far to keep your head in that position, snap it back around to focus on the spot again.

Does that practice work only for Rollerskates or with inlines also?

Dot Matrix yes, in a way! The edges on I line can be viewed the same as a quad skate, but you have to find the correct balance of the wheels instead of the truck axis. Does that make sense? It’s kind of hard to explain.

Love the tutorials but I gotta say...the names are quite racist and disgusting. I think it’s more than time for new names to be used...I mean it’s a simple change.
