You can hold the pendulum over your hand and say "Spirit show me yes. Then show me no and so on. Then when you're confident it's programed,test it out by asking it questions you already know the answers to If it's accurate, you've successfully programmed your pendulum. From there you can ask it yes or no questions about things .
I tried to start with a beginner friendly deity, I really did. But the greek gods never answered my calls, and then... Loki plopped himself down next to me like "hey toots, I'm your patron god now." XD I love him to pieces tho, he's been great to me.

I always suggest investigating and getting to know the entity first, investigating oneself afterwards (because when we do a spell we can ask for things out of ego and things go wrong) and after we are clean spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically, there the spell can be done. Of course you can ask for one to be in a better and superior state, or for health, etc, but the better one is, the better. Meditations are also an excellent way to connect with the entity that one wants. The music, its songs, its elements, its energy. There are many ways to relate to any entity. The Gods and Goddesses respond to love.
I feel very drawn to Hathor and have been wanting to start researching her. Also I had a reading done and the results included Hathor, Isis and Bastet were reaching out to me. I am excited to see where this journey takes me
I’m getting ready to set up an altar for Lilith and I found the most amazing candles on Amazon called vampire tears candles. They are black candles that drip red when burning!!!! I was so excited when I found them and knew they had to be for her!

I'm new to witchcraft, about a year, and the LAST thing I saw myself doing was working with any diety, I thought of myself as very secular, Universal energy, craft-based not Wiccan, but I've felt drawn to Isis/Auset so strongly recently that I can't ignore it (like, I had an actual dream) ... but idk what the hell I'm doing, so videos like this are really helping me with general stuff. From what I’ve read, Hermes is a quite playful deity that is associated with writing and literature (I’m a writer myself) so I’d like to start working with him. I’d like to work with Aphrodite at some point as well. Those two in specific really stand out to me. Be careful with this one. To worship or work with them you have to get a reading from a priest of the Yoruba religion to make sure they are calling you and then go through a process to be initiated. This is a close practice.

I am new to all this but I knew the first time I learned that you can work with deities I knew that if I ever stated working with one it would be Nyx. I have always been interested in her and I have set up an altar for her. I later realised that everything in my room since I was a child was unintentionally associated with the moon and night
I found Hecate and Aphrodite (Greek goddesses) while I identified purely as a Celtic pagan (with the odd exception of Loki). Funny how things almost never work out how we intend, sometimes for the best!
I'm curious ... in your experience, do the Greek and Egyptian pantheon work well together? I work 20th Hekate and Sekhmet and they sometimes feel like they are family to each other (don't tell Sekhmet I said that lol). Is this odd or does that sound about right to you?
Haha I completely get what you’re saying. I think because of how the Greek and Egyptian pantheon are connected historically they are kind of like one big group. There are a lot of Greco Roman temples with Egyptian deities in them. Lots of Egyptian deities have Greek names and vice versa. So in my opinion they are very connected to each other. Working with them shows me that also. Like you said it feels like these deities communicate with each other and connect with each other like family!

I have been trying to work with dantalion. I have put cinnamon and Sandler wood and the sign of dantalion. It was in fear not knowing as I am v early in this as in social media it is confusing. Yet now that fear has gone and I only feel the presence. Its been a month now. I would love to know more how can I connect much more relationship with dantalion. I did devotional spell jars for all three of the Goddesses I currently work with( Athena, Hekate, and Hestia). I made the mistake of giving Hekate a bigger bottle than my patron Goddess (Athena) and she showed up during my ritual for Hekate through divination via pendulum and she was confused dhe was like wtd is going on here 😕 I hurt her feelings I think and I apologized and I promised to be more mindful. I redid Athenas spell jar as soon as I had the energy to do 2 days later, and I still need to redo Hestias 😅 we are in the middle of moving so I'm gonna do a whole home cleanse for Hestia and set up her altar and do the spell jar when we settle in. She's not as pushy about stuff 😅 I felt so bad though, I really didn't mean to upset Athena. She seemed pleased with my apology and I also asked if I could work with Hekate. Now... my issue is the two are trying for the spotlight constantly and I feel like I need to set firmer boundaries with the two of them o.o because I feel a constant tug from both of them.

If you are calling specifically on hades you don't need to worry much about other spirits or beings joining the party uninvited. If you are specifically calling on one being that being will hear you, it doesn't invite all beings of any kind. But I am going to be posting a video soon all about protecting yourself/protection magics.
@@PriestessDandelion AGREED!! Most likely due to the fact that. Before calling said energies forward. Your vibration and frequency will be much higher. So lower entities (demiurges) wouldn't resonate in the same space. Secondly, hence why cleansing your space is important followed via a prayer of intentions. Pranum!
I have been working with Isis for years and I now feel the call from Lillth. My only issue is I don't know how to believe in the God/Adam and eve narrative. Can I still work with Lillth if I don't believe in this?
one question i have is does the language I use to communicate with them matter? like, my first language is german but can I also communicate with them in english or anything else?
You just have to practice trusting your gut but you can also use things like candle flames or incense smoke to tell you when a being has arrived. A tall strong candle flame or smoke rising straight up from incense can be a great way to track when the energy of the room changes due to their arrival.
I really want to start working with Lilith also and a few other gods but I’m still feeling very apprehensive about starting to work with any god or goddess. I think my life can be quite hectic and I think my concern is I wouldn’t have time very often to work with them with 2 young children. Is that a common problem that people have come across? Maybe you have already covered this in a video, if so Im sorry but what would you recommend for incorporating your gods and goddesses into hectic everyday life?
This is a great question! I think it’s important to have an open and honest relationship with your deities and remember that deities know what’s going on in your life. Most deities will understand if you’re too busy to work with them on a certain day or for awhile. I would say just honestly tell whatever deity it is that you are a parent and they will understand. In my experience even strong and intimidating deities like Lilith understand that sometimes we don’t have anything more to give because life gets hectic. Also remember Lilith is a mother. Misinformation would say she’s a child killer but really she is a mother to thousands of children, most of which were killed. So I’m sure Lilith would understand if sometimes you’re too busy with the kids to work with her. Just make sure she knows you’ll always return to her when you can. You can also find quick little ways to work with her. If you have an altar to her you can quickly set offering to her and go, burn some incense for her, etc. If you want you could also find out more about family centered deities and start working with them. That way caring for your family/kids would be an offering itself! Hope this helps 💕
@@PriestessDandelion I second this advice. Also, to add. You mentioned in the video, not to place sooo much pressure on oneself before even doing the work. It's always best just to be relax and go in with pure heart. Lilith and my spiritual mother (Inanna) are the same energies. So being a mother, I suspect that Lilith will greatly benefit you in your life. She'll help you take on the role of motherhood, duties and still time to give reverence to her and your other matron/patrons. Hell, whilst doing your routine in all our hectic loves. You can mention your doing something in honor of her. I.e: hanging a mojo protection bag on the rear view mirror to safeguard you, the kids and spouse. Trust, many deities are very understanding, after all. Some of 'em were humans on earth so they pretty much are well verse with the concepts of humanity. Ayibobo!!

I was considering starting to worship Mother Nature, but I wanted to do research first. Like three days after I thought about this, a butterfly landed on me. The next day, a bee landed on me. I was like "ok, if you're reaching out to me, show me again." The next day, an ant was on my car when I went to it... and I did a tarot reading to ask if she was reaching out and I got the magician :0 now I gotta figure out how to do proper worshipping because she wants it NOW

I say Hecate is an advanced deity just so people know what they’re in for when they start working with her. She’s demanding and expects you to be serious about working with her so that’s why is at this. But if Hecate is the first/only deity you feel connected to than there’s no reason why you cannot start working with her. Just do your studying!

I'm a new practitioner, and at first the idea of working with a deity made me feel very uncomfortable, I really didn't get it. I thought working with a greek or nordic deity wouldn't suit me and would make me feel weird. I'm french and since I was a child, I've lived in a little village in the east of France very close to the spring of the Seine (the famous river that crosses Paris few hundreds of km away). I've always been in love with this river (bathing in it, playing around it, and even today, meditating by it). Few weeks ago, I discovered that the Gauls used to pray Sequana, goddess of the Seine, and that there even is the remains of a statue of her very close to my place. Since this discovery I've been feeling even more drawn to this river, like we have a bond or something. It so obvious to me now, it makes so much sense, and I feel truly happy, it's like Sequana's been here my whole life taking care of me. So yeah, at first I didn't really feel comfortable with the idea of working with deitis, but since Sequana has revealed herself to me, it has been clear that she's always been a huge part of my life and that I need to acknowledge her presence. I have a similar cat male 💜. I feel like I’m called to work with Hecate but I have a little fear of her. I made this song in my head for her weird, but I also feel connected to Brigid as a more gentle deity. I’m not sure which way to go. This would be my first with working with one. We have this cat statue and a lion statue in our house and my cats like hanging out near that statue and a few days ago our art teacher asked us to draw objects from our house so i picked up that cat statue and started drawing it and I’ve been carrying it around for awhile now and as a witch I’m like.. wait what? is a deity reaching out to me? And now its 2 am im doing a speedrun research confirming if a deity is reaching out.
I have never done a contract with a deity. in my opinion deities are energy beings so there is no need to “sign a contract”. One shows their devotion through action.

This is an old practice that was mainly because it wasn't safe to be open about being a witch. However do you ever see me on my channel talking about the spells I'm working on or the personal magick that I'm doing... no. I believe that speaking about one's magickal workings lessens their power but teaching people how to perform magickal workings only helps others to learn.
Hello, I actually wasn't expecting a response, thanks. In this day and age, I can understand using social media as a conduit to get through to many people. I'm just not a big believer in using every social media platform in existence when it pertains to magick, esp the dark path of it. But I can understand why you choose to. As for myself, I have 2 youtube channels. This is just one I play around with, not my main one. Yes, depending upon where a witch/sorcerer lived in the past, it was risky being active in ANY magick, black magick most definitely. They had to keep a low profile. Yet many were unfortunately MURDERED for this. I myself am an occultist/enthusiast. I recently became called to the left hand path back in late 2020, yet didn't start involving myself on a more direct level until early 2021. As you can tell from my icon pic, I felt the strongest pull toward the darker side of the spectrum and the entities/spirits who represent that side of it. I don't know if you are aware of Aleister Crowley, but according to many spirits/entitles who I have contacted through pendulum and other forms of divination, they have revealed to me that I am one of the few humans on this earthly plane who has potential to surpass even him in dark magick. This is no joke, I am for real. It did surprise me, considering it hasn't even been 2 years for me yet. Anyway, I am interested in your content and hope to see more vids in the future!
