Thanks...i removed the ignition cylinder some how because it broke its tip... ur video gives me the confidence that i can check my ignition relay atleast. Just wanted to be sure that only the ignition cylinder is broken and the relay is correct. Will try it. many thanks....
this helped me alot in bad situation, cilinder was broken and could not even turn the car off, ended up dismanting switch and removing broken part. all in all started car : D karma points to you sir

My car key was doing nothing, wouldn't start or turn over, also dash lights stayed on after I locked the car so I took the switch out, it only turned 2 clicks, your video showed it should turn 3 so I had a look and it turned out to be the spring inside the switch. Whether using a screwdriver/old barrel n key or new barrel and key plus transponder taped to immobilizer, as soon as I'd go to drive the steering would lock. I would unlock the steering and then go to drive again and same thing. I will try this method you show as I had only tried the pin on the left when reinstalling/changing over barrels.

What car do you have? Model and year please. The steering lock activates as soon as i turn the steering wheel. Seems to be a different construction cause its actually normal that the lock activates if you dont have a cylinder inside.
Yes, if you look at the end of the video you can see me lock and unlock the wheel by pushing down the left or right pins. To unlock you need to move the wheel a bit to take the pressure off the pins.
There is a small hole on-top, at the back that if U use something narrow U can push down (not too hard) to release a little spring loaded locker thing and it will slide out then :-)

Yes it is normal, somehow it needs the barrel to activate the windows, radio i haven't tested. I gues it is the click tooth that pushes somthing up when you insert the barrel. Glad it helped man 👍
Try putting the key barrel back in the place, but keep the ingnition switch out. That way it is also safer so the steering collum won't lock by accident and your windows should work too.

kaleb smith I am not sure about that, but it should not . I think that you have other problems with the engine. I would say just find a used key barrel including the key and put it in, than remove the chip from the old key and replace it with the original chip and you are good to go. You will than have an extra key to start the engine and the old one is still to open the doors, manually or remote. That is the cheapest solution, otherwise you will have to order a new key from the Dealer. New key plus programming costs about 300 euro here in Holland and i fixed mine for 10 Euros by installing a used one with the original chip transferred to the new key. That's it.
FidaPr thankyou, I have replaced so many parts that alter the timing to the car and other things, I’ve done the crankshaft sensor, new spark plugs and points, new oil and oil filter plus a new fuel filter, my only choice is to think about rebuilding the engine to see if the 4th piston is on its way out, I’ve heard this is a common with corsas? Or would a Live Diagnostics scanner tell me exactly what’s wrong? Thanks man I appreciate your instant replies
