I had difficulty programming and it caused demotivation so I quit programming. I came across your video today and got back into programming. I realized how much I missed programming. Thanks so much Luke
great topic to cover. been struggling with school, going to the gym, and working alone. haven't even had enough energy to focus on coding or anything like i planned on returning to this monday. definitely will hop back to it soon thanks to you talking about discipline when it comes to it. appreciate it bro
Love to hear that 🫶 You can use this same logic for going to the gym aswell, cut the process into pieces. 1. put on your gym clothes 2. walk out the door 3. walk towards the gym 4. open the gym door 5. start working out solve those one by one 🤝
awesome vid once again👊🏽 sticking to something and staying consistent on this day and age is super rare with all of these distractions you have to conquer daily.
I have just recently gotten into coding myself, and although I am not struggling with being consistent Im sure I will at some point. I've come across your channel and I just wanted to say I really enjoy your content, and your energy. Keep up the good work fam. Big things will come!
motivation point feels different feels different for me - I struggle at point when I know too little to start my own project, coding along with tutorial makes me bored as fuck. But when it comes to creating my own project and just solve my real problems, then I really can stick to the screen for 12 hours. Regardless, what leads to victory is always steel discipline at the start, and after a few months or so you just stop thinking and struggling about it. You're just doing it, as You said. Thank you for this video Luke
Big love 🫶 Next time youre doing a project and feel stuck try to cut the project into smaller and smaller pieces. Then look for a tutorial for that particular thing and in the end when you have solved all the pieces you have a working app 🤝
You said some great advice. Dont look at the mountains to climb like "i need to be a software developer, i need to learn all of these frame works and languages, i need to make six figures." Instead look at where you, are ehat youve done and how to do it deligently. I've been learning software for about 6 months now and recently have become very very anxious and this perspective changes my life which is crazy to say
yes bro! its hard when you think about all the huge obstacles infront of you, the concept of doing things level by level has helped me so much on all areas of life 🫡 its easier to solve little pieces to the puzzle rather than one huge problem at once 👊 dont quit bro keep going 🫶
You said the truth broski. Sometimes when things get really tough, I tend to look back at the sleepless nights I spent learning python or any other technology. This actually reminds me that coming back again is the way and also that it becomes second nature x months into it. Thanks
Thanks man, your videos have motivated me so much. I have quit video games and replaced it with leetcode. Now I’m grinding that instead have finished around 20 problems so far never been so much happier
Hey man, had a question about YOUR routine specifically out of curiosity. You wake up at 5am and hit the gym, love that. But what time do you go to bed? do you have classes at school everyday? if so what days? And the days you do have school whats your whole day look like? Same with the days without school, whats your whole day look like? Maybe you could make a short 2-3 minute video about that. I'd think it would help a lot of us understand how it's possible to be consistent. Thanks in advance man!
Hey bro! Thank you for the suggestion! Ive recorded a short about my day it will be up early next week 👊 But I'll make some other videos about this stuff aswell! In a nutshell, heres my avg day. 5 wake up, work on yt. 6.30 gym. 8 office and start work. around 17 back home work on yt/school. 20.30 sleep. I dont have any classes right now so most freetime is spent on youtube but in a month or so ill have some classes aswell I can make a quick video about that stuff how I balance studying and work etc. 🤝
Hey bro, I've been struggling with this and these words really help. I'm doing CS50 course and it's fair to say I'm about to end it in a few weeks... How did you learn on your own? Like what platforms or courses did you use to learn?
Also, I am planning on going to school as well and I have been going to the gym for the past few years. I know that during school I won’t have much time to go to the gym so I understand why you wake up this early. Since you’re also at school and you have other things to do during the day. I’m planning on doing the same thing, was just wondering how late do you go to bed?
Hey bro! Yeah this is why I go to the gym early, cant seem to fit it anywhere else so I had to choose to either skip it or go in the morning and I want to train so I go in the morning 😅 Anyways I go to sleep at 8.30pm-9pm at the very latest. At first it was hard but if you wake up early then by the time its bed time you will be ready for sleep. Now when I started doing this my sleepscores have went way up I track my sleep and sticking to this schedule seems to be whats working the best for me, I feel good in the mornings aswell 👊
Ive been trying to code a new concept everyday in python and or html and css to keep my muscles going. My struggle is i find myself using chat gpt to help with my errors. Should i be feeling bad?
hey bro! actually for errors i dont think its bad at all and also using it more isnt bad either as long as you truly understand why its doing something 🫡 good luck on the journey bro 🤝
I have a lot of motivation, but I feel that I’m not doing enough project wise. I’m in freeCodeCamp, but I want something more so I’m now majoring application software development. I have a certification in responsive web development, but like I said I feel like I need more knowledge in order to make my own projects. Any tips about that?
tbh after youve learned the basics you dont need to do more courses imo. you need to start building and googling as you go. thats how we do it at work aswell 👀 if you truly feel lost then at first follow a tutorial then after that make something similar but on your own
Hi, I wanted to ask if it is better to do projects or question to practice your coding? Can anyone suggest where I can do practice questions for python?
Hey bro! If you havent done any course yet then id suggest starting out your journey with a course for example "python mooc 2023" is a good one in my opinion 🤝👊
At school it was hard af because my math fundamentals were super bad so I had to put in alot of work for math classes... But one thing I found out was that the phrase "maybe im just not good at math" is total bs. I always used to tell myself that but when I actually tried I started to understand the concepts, sure it took me longer than some other people but still I was able to learn the things required 🤝
Hey man, great content, love the way you explain topics and I share your views. If you are interested, we could get in touch, discuss programming, talk about RU-vid (share experiences 😄).
Hey bro! Do you have a discord? I am in a similar situation to the one you have described in your videos, I really resonate with a lot of the things you say and would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to have a chat with you!
