HEY BESTIES~ Comment of the day: How tall are you? 🧍♀️🧍 I had a really tough week but managed to get this up for you guys. If you enjoyed this video, please LIKE and SHARE (click 'share' then 'copy link') as it would really help our family grow~
You'll watch an entire Netflix show even when the first episodes are slow and boring just because someone told you "it gets better." *But what if you looked at your goals like that and watched your life get better instead?*
Whenever I start studying i can barely read a page I get distracted so easily it's super hard to focus. Thank you Faye for all the tips I will surely study better!! 💕
1. write down distractions u have when trying to study 2. build attention span: start timer and stop when u start becoming unfocused time recorded should be starting length of study sessions - take breaks between intervals (do not sit at ur study space , use ur phone in those breaks) *** go into work mode at ur workspace complete each task (break into small chunks) and take short breaks in between 3. film urself studying 4. create a distraction free study space (no flamboyant deco etc) write goals and put them infront of u too 5. dont just read (make questions, underline important points, make summaries)
I lose my focus dreaming about my future self, my future house, my future job (my future life partner🙄), and bring myself back to reality when I realise that I've wasted a lot of time... This video is helpful, thank you Faye, I would definitely try your secret weapon 😉
I love how you put a warning before there’s an ad, it definitely makes me more willing to watch it without skipping because you state that it helps you! Very clever XD
*5 things to quit for all people:* *1. Caring about what others think* *2. Not believing in yourself* *3. Not prioritizing your health* *4. Wasting your precious time* *5. Chasing meaningless relationships*
Oh wow, I always thought those things affected me in a positive way. I should quit them? Sure. It's not as if such tasks are emotionally and mentally difficult, or just incredibly hard in the situation that I am in.
I am an awfully imaginitive person who starts doodling now and then while studying+gets tons of ideas These tips are really useful unlike the common ones! Thank you so much,Faye ❤️
Another tip that really helped me is the 3 page rule . Basically when its one of those days where you really dont wanna study anything , this is rlly helpful ! So , you divide your book into 3 sections , you complete the first section and take a 5-10 minute break , then start studying the 2nd section and so on. But remember , as faye said do NOT use your phone during those breaks ! It will break your focus immediately ! I think that your brain really wants to take that break so you tend to study fast and more effectively . Just wanted to give another tip and help , if it worked for you im super glad !!
I SWEAR I’VE BEEN RECORDING MYSELF WHILE STUDYING & IT ALWAYS WORKS! You’ll feel like someone is watching you that’s why you’ll gonna do your tasks in time. I also try to explain my lessons in front of my phone to analyze them better😆 I also do the promodoro technique! work for 25 mins & 15 mins break. 🌿try to unwind every weekend as well 🍃
15 mins break is too much for pomodoro technique, that's basically studying for 5 hours in total for the day but 4 hours of break in between. you do you though but if you can reduce that break time, you should be more productive. Thankssssss
Faye I m having a rough week due to exams and physics is troubling me and lowering my grade 😣 but whenever I see you I feel so good and positive 😌 ilysm for making me feel worthy 💖
Good luck for your exams!! Make sure to rest enough and don’t overwhelm yourself too much. You’ve already tried your best and thats the most important part 🍀
I'm actually glad that I'm not the only one who struggles with focusing and working, there's times where I'm looking and staring at the assignment and it takes me sooo long to focus, even though I'm looking right at it. I'll try some of these tips, and hopefully things work out!
As a person with ADHD none of the expensive therapy sessions helped me study as much as your videos. I can see my work getting better and better every day. This satisfaction keeps me even more focused on my goals. Ty sooo much for your videos❤️❤️❤️❤️
This happens to me a lot not only when I'm studying! I often catch myself thinking about tv series that I'm watching, have watched, conversations that I had and hypothetical scenarios. Sometimes it's so deep that I don't answer to people when they ask me something! It's insane
So relatable. My mom thinks I'm dumb and lazy/ inattentive and always advises me to focus on what I'm doing and when I joke off that I have a lot of important stuff to think about, she make an awful expression
The reason why I daydream so much is either 1) I have ADHD (which I'm not diagnosed yet but I REALLY feel like I do) and 2) I'm a maladaptive daydreamer and whenever I daydream I get too focused on it that I couldn't track the time (especially when my daydream is so good that I don't want to stop). The worst one I had was 2 hours of simply daydreaming in my room lol. This video hits home. Thank you!
I get so bored and distracted while learning, but I really want to become a become a better student. So I will get myself together.Thank you! I really appreciate your work.
Ikr everyday I'm just like okay today's the day I'm not gonna get distracted and study the entire day. But literally 10 minutes later I'm back to doodling in my textbooks. 😭 hopefully these tips work for me too!
As an expert in the field of learning disabilities and ADHD I must say how impressed I am of what you're showing here, especially the unique tios. The filming tip is especially brilliant. I'm going to share this video with students teachers I work with.
I'm always listening to calm music, it really helps me to stay focused and very productive 💪🏻 I'm impressed by results actually 🥰 this channel helped me *a lot* : @ImaginariumBeats 🎧🎶
I'm 18 now, and I've always been pretty bad at sitting and alotting to time to studying because I always found it to be such a drag. Of course, now, I'm paying the price and I'm now doing my GCSEs for the 3rd time to fix my grades again. Every year I feel myself getting better, just barely, but this time I'm ready to have something to show for it. For me in the long term and for me in a week, I'm trying really hard to give her the present she deserves and the present I wish my past self could have provided me with now.
IS THIS THE FIRST TIME WHEN FAYE DIDN'T MAKE US FEEL GUILT ABOUT PROCRASTINATING IN THE INTRO!!!?!?! But still tysm for making this video. I really needed this!💜💜 Tysm Faye❤️❤️
Heeey I just came to say that this actually worked for me. Like honestly I am a person who can't study for 5 minutes and guess what I studied for 47 minutes straight. I recorded myself, I kept timer and I wrote down what was distracting me. It really really helped me. I hope you have a wonderful experience while trying these out too. And btw my room have no decoration at all. Just a curtain. So it made it less distracting. I have been doing it for a couple of months now
Same i get distracted every 5 mins, and this is my senior year and i cant juts feel bad about myself, i was always like this but i didnt really care, but now its important, i really wish they'd work for me too :
i was in the middle of studying and got distracted then started watching this video! a win is a win because now i have great study tips to keep in mind and try right now!
I studies for 4 hours daily ( excluding revisions ) i started to day dreaming after 3 hour of studing , it was really a problem but i had found a solution that is whenever I starts daydreaming , i should close my books and start completing my pending work so my brain will be drifted into smth new and for me it really works , After some minutes of writing i can switch myself to studing, i can complete my syllabus without getting distracted !!
no one: literally no one: my brain: that painting is different from the usual one(peacock) and is much more epic [That's a hint that I lose my focus easily] (I mean seriously, those paintings are sick) PS: hey bestie, please make a video about listening to music(lofi or nature sounds) during studying
@@Fayefilms we love and appreciate every video you make as it's so full of content, I can't get enough, but seriously though, take a rest as much as needed we love u
I was mindlessly scrolling through RU-vid even though I was supposed to write, and Faye came in clutch. I normally don't lose focus because I'm pretty diligent, it's just that I sometimes have a hard time to get myself to start 😂 Once I'm doing something, I'm mostly in the zone, though!
I found her channel when I was stressed and burdened .... When I searched up study tips I would mostly get those aesthetic things that would make me stress more as I was not able to achieve it ... But suddenly I found Faye and I realised it's absolutely not necessary to be aesthetic ... be simple .... She reduced my study stress a lot ... Like a lottttttttttttttttttttttttt .... Thankyou so much Faye ... 💜
I agree with you 100%. When I am lazy I always feel that I 'll be able to focus if I had an aesthetic desk area. Your comment was helpful too! I realised that I'm not the only one suffering.
For me, it really isn't anything like losing focus. It's more like our teachers voice during lectures make me sleep 😂 her voice is really calming, it's like storytelling.
*"Everything in life is easier when you don't concern yourself with what other people are doing."* The chances of you seeing this comment is pretty low, but if you did, *I hope you have an amazing day.* 🖤
the timelapse tip is so accurate ,i actually do it a lot when i want to study , i am suprised other ppl do that too,it takes away ur distraction plus the satisfaction when u watch the video is worth it ..... i started doing is from 6th grade in my ipad ....now im in 11th grade and still do it
Yes, I get distracted... But I tried to follow your tips. I can really see the differences between study time and distracting time. Thanks for saving me
just stumbled upon your channel and i'm already in LOVE!! i can't thank you enough because you have been one of the only people that has motivated me to keep studying! thanks!
A little studying checklist from me to you 💕 💧Drink water! Your mind is more focused when it's hydrated 🌸 Ignore and eliminate any possible distractions. Focus on your work and remember that all of this is so worth it in the end! 🌱 Find your focusing point. My focusing point is listening to music. It helps me relax and just be in the moment with what I'm doing. What's yours? It could be lighting a candle or being outside! ✨ Take breaks. Your mind needs a rest every once in a while. I would recommend studying in blocks. So study for 30 minutes, and take a 5 minute break. Keep doing that until you feel comfortable to stop doing your work. 🦋 Don't stress. If you come into your work with a positive mindset, you will more likely succeed!
my focusing point is actually starting to write random notes, it helps my hand not get lazy and then my entire body follows, and hopefully my brain as well 😅👌✨
Thank you for popping up on my feed.I was procrastinating on studying for the test tomorrow and watched some of this video and got motivated. I started to take notes on my phone and found a very effective source that helped me revise what I learnt in class along with something new.I’ll definitely watch some others later.Again thank you!!
faye, you’re a wonderful human. i always watch your videos whenever i struggle to study. it’s hard for me to study but you come to the rescue at the right time. -love from South Africa 🇿🇦❤️❤️❤️
Came to this video cause I was not doing too well in my Weighted assessments for this term and figured that I was always too distracted. Thank you so much for this video! It has helped me and definitely a ton of others too out there like me! Definitely going to try them out later!
I was literally talking to my friend about me zoning out when i should be focusing just a few mins ago!!! Can u read our minds or something Faye? And yes i do lose focus easily. I zone out a lot and tysm for making this video. It helped me soo much!!
I always get distracted when I am studying. I used to have a room to study but I always don't use it and it ended with me studying at my living room. Studying at my living room isn't bad, but I always get distracted because there's a TV beside me and every 5-10mins or so, I scroll through social media. So, thanks so much Faye for giving me some tips on how to stay focused. 💕
I appreciate the video because I often have discomfort when working or trying to concentrate for extended periods of time. And it's a little bothersome since I really want to finish it but find it difficult to stay on task.
@@Fayefilms I agree especially with me. Once I'm on a "break" I just can't get out of it,so I like to make use of most of the time I decided to dedicate to my studies. It helps with those of us with low attention spans and commitment issues
Hi Faye! I have been watching this channel for months now (I am a part of the 233k subscribers that you have). I have really found such important study tips that I put into my life. I am a lot better now. I get distracted very easily because I keep thinking of the shows or movies I watch, or I just imagine myself to be a very productive student. But I am sure, after watching this video, I will no longer daydream. Thank you for this amazing video and as you asked here is a 🌙.
I really love your videos, you are literally the ONLY worthy student study tips YT channel here, with a no-nonsense, and excellent approach, your videos inspire me a lot, I am a maladaptive day dreamer... I am very happy you made this video, thanks for all you do.
Faye you're literally the elder sister I wished God gave me, I was first of all among the lasts of my class but ever since I started watching your videos this summer you gave me a lot of motivation and I practice all what you said and I'm a slow learner like you but I never gave up. I'm in Upper sixth science and I'm very happy to tell you that I'm now among the bests of my class and all thanks to you, I promise you that before the end of my school year I would be the first of my class and have 4A's in my A/L may God bless you forever. And to answer your question yes I daydream a lot so your video is really helpful as always
2:40 yes , its actually very helpful ! Like whenever you're studying at school also go to the washroom or just go get some water and walk out of your classroom after the lesson is over and you're waiting for the next teacher to enter ... !! Like it just makes you feel a bit less tired and sitting in one place for a long time will just make you more tired as she said in the video so just get up and walk a little .. ! 🦋💗
I'm definitely going to try that time-lapse one haha. Thank you so much faye for putting out this video for us! I hope you are doing good. Take care of yourself bestie
Fayeee! I literally don't skip any parts of your videos. Every line of you is very useful. I got fade up with my studies & I watched many videos. I got many suggestions but I didn't feel motivated. Now I feel that I can do it, I can make it happen. Thank god that I found you.. thanks a bunch bestie for motivating me in this new year.💞😊
I really appreciate your video because just like you I get distracted while studying even if I was looking at my book, so I'll be using your tips soon!!
Whenever I am trying to stay focused after 10 -20 minutes I feel like going out of my room and standing up from my chair and obviously procrastinating then after 1 hour I realize that the time I set for studying was passed out and then I feel guilty I have been watching your videos since yesterday and I found it so helpful that I subscribed, liked, and, tuned on the notifications. I hope you reply to me
instantly saved to my motivational playlist, here comes faye to save me again! i tried out the filming trick and it seriously blew my mind t how much work i can get done when im filming myself. thank u fayeeeeee
Faye, you're such an angel! I always struggle w studying and high school. I've tried various methods and watched a lot of yt videos but nothing was effective for me until I met you :-). You're really inspiring and you're always on point. I wish I could be like you, thanks a lot❣️
thanks a lot, my final test is near and I am barely focusing on my studies. I was easily distracted, I watched some tips from you and in 20 mins I was memorizing half of my notes. this helped me a lot in focusing and you taught me to take a break too, which really helped my brain. I just wanna say thank you and wish me luck.
Hi Faye, I'm currently in first year of high school (9th grade) and my exams are coming close and I'm unable to make proper notes nd focus probably because it's online school, I used to be a topper but since last year my grades have been dropping nd I couldn't focus, I found your videos today and I'm really very grateful to you,💜💜 you are motivating and helping not only me but maaaannyyyy of us and I am thankful for your help nd I am putting your tips into practice!!😄😄
How do you always upload the video I need at the exact time I need it?? I love how these aren’t generic tips cause there are some things I thought only I did but I saw through your vids that a lot people have the same issues as me and I feel less lonely and these tips actually work!✨💜
i've been absolutely awful at focusing on anything as of late. been trying to fix that, and watching this has already made me feel a lot better because now i feel like i can do something about it. thank you. :))
Yeah I lose focus easily because I live in my own fantasy world with the whole kpop industry 😂😂😂 Anyways thank you faye for this video. Just seeing your face make me motivated ❤ This is the only channel that I don't skip ads
I actually found the time lapsing tip and splitting my study session into parts so effective. I'm still in like in junior high school and my grades are so average and I want to improve it so these tips are really gonna help me. Thanks so much 😁
do be very honest while watching this video i got distracted 5 times and i have to replay the video again and again, its bcz of i overthink a lot like i was creating scenarios in my mind and then i realised oh my god what i actually am doing yeah this is the thing.....love ur videos
Thank you Ate Faye for this amazing video!!! These past weeks I've just been so distracted and unmotivated to study but by doing the tips that you covered in this video I started to get my motivation back 🥰❣️ Sending love from the Philippines!!💖
Hi! I am a new subscriber here and I am so happy that yt recommended me one of ur videos. I am so demotivated this past few days since I failed one of my major subjects and it taking me a lot of time coping up with the lessons, but this tutorials and study tips are absolutely amazing! I feel like I can pull up my failing grades by following your tips. Thank you!
I made my study area much productive as well as added a lil kinda decorations! I use pomodoro technique to study nowadays, cuz it's a great productive method I feel! Stay focused y'all and work hard if you really wanna achieve your dreams!💫❤
Congratulations on being able to focus on your studies!!! I too tried using the pomodoro but it just ended up making me nervous..the thing that works the best for me is study with me videos :)
As a person who love to make stories to draw them out and some draw pages like mangas/comics , it is hard to not think about a story or something that inspired you like a moment ago/months ago/even a year ago. You can make a full complete story from those inspirations that when try to write it down, it doesn't end and study time flies away. It is so hard to concentrate when you are not interested in the studying topics but you have to get it done somehow. So how can I focus on studying without having any interest in those topics and stop making stories all of a sudden?
You don't need to stop making stories for studying efficiently. I remember how I started writing stories when I was in 5th standard yet passed the exams with flying colors (all 93+)! You just need to learn how to control your hyperactive & imaginative brain. A small tip : When you get new story or scenario ideas, instead of writing the whole scene ,summarize it or write in keywords like a mind-map. Hope it helps . All the Best, bestie!!!
Honestly I'm really interested in watching videos as the same. It's made me knowledge and understand more while studying. I'm currently 12 grade in Vietnam and a few months I must pass the important examination of my life to have a good university as I prefer. This process is very hard. Sometimes I want to give up and I think about why I start. So I still go on on my path. Thanks for your video. Love you more ❤️❤️❤️❤️☘️☘️☘️☘️✍️😘 Happy New Year all over the world ☘️☘️☘️☘️ Best wishes to our 🥰
Hey i feel u ...I'm a 12th grader too, in India, and my - most important exam of my life - starts in a day ... I'm literally soo stressed out and can't focus on a thing...this is why I came to this video ...glad to see there's someone like me here
I get distracted so easily that I can't study half a subject because there is so many things a going in my head especially Kpop me I love Kpop so much that it effects my studying and make me much scared I almost failed grade6 and now I'm going grade 7 I don't know what I'm gonna do I'm scared to get anxiety and stress 😞😞😞 but thank you for these amazing tips I will try them🙂
This is super helpful!! Thank you Faye!!! I'll be sure to apply this to my daily homework routines and hopefully I'll be able to finish in a timely manner and get more sleep!😄✨💖
HI FAYE! Thank you for these videos, coz every time I watched them, I get pumped up to work but it only last a few minutes. It would be nice if I can do my study session with u... coz u really motivate me to do work, like literally real studying.
THE TIME-LAPSE OMG IT IS SO TRUE!! I keep taking videos of myself and it really helps me, I really didn't think people thought that taking a video of urself is useful but in real time it really is..
I don't lose my focus early, because many of your advices are help me about that. Only, when i study the math i need to take a break more than other subjects. 😅
Hey Faye 👋 thanks for your lovely guidance once again😊, was waiting for this video since morning, you motivate us a lot and keep helping us like that, thanks for making us feel comfortable with your kind words and the way you understand our study problems.☺😊
Thank you for your help it helps me a lot during my study. I usually get destructed when I'm daydreaming, from now on, this is my base when I'm destructed .
I noticed I focus much longer when I use apps/websites like Quizlet than just notes and books. I guess it’s easier to plan exactly what you’re gonna do and it makes it funner and more motivating. Thank you so much for the advice. I get distracted a lot. ADHD sucks.
Thank you so much for the video bestie!! I sometimes daydream too. Recently, after watching your videos i have been studying more focused. Thank you so much for the help! 💛
I’ve watched 2 videos so far about one about being a night owl and now this one. You have earned a subscriber because you have great advise and you are a student and I need that kind of balance in my academic life so thank you ❤❤
