Stuff we use:
CAMERA - This is the camera we have used to film 90+% of our interviews (over 200 interviews and counting) It continues to be our workhorse - amzn.to/2u66V1J
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z

Dude, honestly though... we dreamers, because we are always thinking about all the things we're going to do, we identify with that. Sometimes the ideas in our head are satisfying enough that we don't do the simple daily activities that contribute towards it. The saddest part, is that most people don't realize it. To be fair, most of us are trapped in that state of mind. And it's painful because you try to explain to people who need it, but this is something every person has to realize on their own.

DISCIPLINE. The little jagged bitter pill, but it works.

So true, In 1988 I was a 23 year old young filmmaker/dreamer. I discovered Gwen Stefani in No Doubt, at 23 years old in 1991 I was the first to direct Gwen in a short interview from my Gwen/No Doubt documentary. I'm 48 years old now sitting on a production I shot of the Red Hot Chili Peppers from 1988 thru 1991, still dreaming of getting it to post production for a documentary release of their "break through" years

Im a 46 yr old daydreamer, I committed to a year of brainstorming my dream project last april. I spend about an hour each day brainstorming and its been slow going but very consistent development. I made some concrete choices straight away which has kept my process focused brainstorming rather than the structureless daydreaming ive known all my life. Theres a bit more to it but making those early choices in regards to the genre, overall structure and major influences has been the biggest game changer for me thus far. Your channel is super helpful too :D

If You think that hard work change something in the capitalistic society than You are a dreamer or simply doesn't understand capitalism. You will not gain anything without money in the contemporary social reality. To create something really special You need at least time and as we know time = money. No money = no time. And even if You'll create something You need money to make it visible... As an artist which have created literally thousands of drawings which nobody wants to show on major exhibition or buy, I'm sure that it's about money or politics of some sort. So - I find this this kind of "motivational talks" HIGHLY TOXIC. It's a process of creating of another lost generation of slaves which will work whole their life very hard and which will gain nothing.
