At 7:20 mark.. When you addressed the almighty pull of a craving and how to be mindful of the lessening of it. Best lesson... Thank you so much! ☺️🎉☺️🎉

Thank you for this video. It makes so much sense, now, why I overeat. I am a stay-at-home homeschool mom, and while I am convinced it is the best thing to do for my family right now, and is fulfilling in its way, it does make for much personal sacrifice and areas of the life left unfulfilled, while every thing is still very, very hectic. It makes sense that the "primitive" mind would go into something of fight or flight, and increase cortisol, and say to the conscious brain "danger," and the danger we were programmed for for most of history was famine, so the body's response to prolonged stress is "eat, ear, eat!" Major lightbulb moments for this momma. Thank you!

Jo Schmo so happy you found the content of value. Love those lightbulb moments. What an amazing mommy you are. Just know you can find moments of self care. Many think they need at least an hour to schedule that in but I find self care in the smallest of dose is just as effective. From just closing my eyes for a minute and taking some deep breaths to just listening to one of my favorites songs to just drop out of my head for a few minutes. 🙏

Yes, yes, yes! I really identified with the stress response- I used to do very intense workouts first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Just switching to a later workout and being properly fueled for it has changed everything. I need to work on reducing my anxiety during meals, however. Even though I am a slow eater this actually causes me stress because I want to get back to my tasks for the day or try to have a conversation/listen to others talking during a meal and I get super anxious. Something to work on for sure! Connecting and listening to my body along with not cutting out any specific foods has been key to eliminating those cravings:) Thank you for this!

How to stop cravings. 1. Eat enough 2. Let your brain register that you are eating. Enjoy the experience. Be present. 3. Slowing down at your meals. 4. Drink enough water. ( when you are dehydrated can feel like u hungry 5. Get enough sleep . 6. Nutritionally dense food. 7. Add foods in, rather than taking it out. Pick fruits u like, and healthy foods you like. 8. Do something that helps u disconnect and relax. 9. Let go of the control. Stay connected to your body, nourish it.

I eat really healthy and I love it, but I still struggle with chocolate as it's hard for me to have in moderation. Should I continue to buy it or just replace it with fresh fruits?
@BrittanyBrowntv
@BrittanyBrowntv 5 лет назад
addiemaureen When we truly allow without judging our choice as bad the chocolate will lose its power. Knowing you can have it at any time there is no need to eat it all now to get it out of the house. Make sure you are fueling your body with complete satisfying meals. Try to really slow down and enjoy. Have some, if it’s what you truly want in the moment, put it away, knowing if you want more later you can. It’s really all about allowing and balancing.

I am overweight because of years and years of binge eating. I try to restrict to loose the weight causing more binging and weight gain. I know if i just ate enough nutritious food throughout the day I wouldn’t feel the need to binge. The hardest thing to me is justifying eating this food when i know im over weight and feeling like im being “bad” for eating and extra apple with peanut butter if im still hungry after eating all of the food i have “allowed” myself that day.
@BrittanyBrowntv
@BrittanyBrowntv 5 лет назад
Mollz The key is allowance and balance . If you are judging your choices as “bad” the mind is still mentally restricting. Lmk if you would like to set up a free breakthrough call. It’s a safe place to fill us in on your story so we can offer you more personalized clarity and support. Just know lasting freedom is so possible. 💜

I have a question: what happens if your day doesn't allow you to sleep 8 hours daily?
@BrittanyBrowntv
@BrittanyBrowntv 5 лет назад
María Alejandra Cortés Pinilla Try to allow as much sleep as possible...I know life happens,...jobs, new born babies....but try to get those 8 hours in when you can. Power naps are also very beneficial...

So, you should have (go to) things to do when you get a craving? We aren't supposed to respond to the craving by eating the "craved" food, right? How do you give yourself freedom with eating (whatever you want whenever you want) without responding to your cravings? I guess it's only mental freedom that isn't supposed to be acted on??
@BrittanyBrowntv
@BrittanyBrowntv 6 лет назад
Path To Paradise So there is a difference to a craving and a present moment choice right. Example sometimes I want a piece of chocolate because it’s sound good and I’m craving something sweet. That’s ok...nothing wrong with that. Allowance is key. There is a difference between craving and an urge...the urge is more the anxious out of control feeling can’t think of anything else. Does that make sense to you?
@quran-rain
@quran-rain 6 лет назад
Yes! It makes perfect sense. So you allow yourself to eat whatever you're craving, but how do you deal with the urges then? I have constant urges and it's driving me crazy :/
@BrittanyBrowntv
@BrittanyBrowntv 6 лет назад
Path To Paradise Make sure you are eating your meals throughout the day. Those urges will lessen once your body knows you’ll be nourishing her throughout the day. If you are going long periods without eating your mind focuses on the urges and takes over. A lot of time it can be a habit or pattern you’ve developed. In the moment pause, journal, walk away and allow time to pass. Acknowledge that if later you want something to eat it will be there. If you are nourishing throughout the day with allowance and balance in time your body will catch up to the knew habits you are replacing it with. Of course this is a simplified answer. Check out the free video training. Http://beatingbingeeating.com/video-training lmk how it goes. We can always arrange a free call so that I can give you more personalized support.
