How to Stop Google Search from Going to Yahoo!

I love how this actually worked. Every time I would search something in my chrome browser it would change to Yahoo! and would take forever to load. But thats when I checked my extensions and found something i never downloaded, so I removed it and reported abuse and when I searched it was back to Google! Thank you so much this really helped!

HOLY FUDGE THANK YOU BRO. I KNOW YOU MADE THIS VID A COUPLE YEARS AGO BUT THANK YOUUUU. The Malicious software on my computer was called something like web page darker or something I cant remember.

TYSM! Omg I hate the yahoo search engine and after I changed my search engine settings I was still receiving the same yahoo search engine problems but after removing my malicious extensions the problem stopped, so ty so much!! God Bless you!

Hey! I agree with all the positive comments here, great job! I do have a problem with the malware coming back occasionally though. I do these steps and it solves it for awhile, and stopped going to a website for pokemon go that was weird about their cookies, but I still get this issue. Is there something that has been downloaded to my hard drive that keeps letting the issue pop up? I don't know much about computers so the hard drive thing could be totally bonkers, but I'm at a loss of what to do.

Hello Beginner Computer Repair thank you for the video but I did everything you said and unfortunately it did not work either. Some one told me maybe look into the registry editor but not sure where to as it has lots of files there. Do you and idea where to look? Heya thanks for the video, had this a couple of times now but I can't seem to budge it. Only have 4 extensions and none of them are causing Yahoo to pop up is there anything else I can try?

This worked the first time but the problem unfortunatly came up again and now no matter what extensions are removed or settings are reset google still tunrs into yahoo for some reason.
