All of my hand creams are sunscreens!!! It all started a few years ago, while trying so many sunscreens;I ended up compiling so many of them, that I decided to use them as hand creams. Except for many mineral sunscreens, which can be very drying, any sunscreen will work excellent as a hand cream. Also, any sunscreen that eventually didn't work for my face also ended on my feet.... specially during the summer... fantastic if you wear sandals or open type of shoes.
Everything that goes on my face goes on my hands as well. As for protection while driving, proper UV protection gloves can be expensive but I got a pair of loose UPF (~SPF 50) cycling sleeves, cut a little hole for the thumb so they cover the back of my hands and they work great for driving and even protect my arms as well. I look a bit silly but it works!
I bought the manicure spf gloves off Amazon and wear them while driving and hiking to protect my hands. I wish I would have started this in my teens instead of my 50's...but I can keep things from getting worse. They are light weight and come in cute designs.
I keep a small bottle of sunscreen in my car specifically to apply to my hands. I’m not the best at remembering to use it consistently, but this video helped!
Dr. Sam is AMAZING!!!❤ I keep a designated bottle of sunscreen in my car for application before and during driving. Trying to do what I can to keep the sun damage at bay
Super groovy Anti hand aging video hands are always going through a constant punishment and exposed to harsh sanitizers ,soaps & chemicals and also sun exposure so this is very important TY luv great information.✋ 🤚✌🧡
V.good video, I've been working on my hands, a lot. Everyone, I watch has beautiful hands, & I'm so envious. Even as my Age my hands are improving. I do most you mentioned, especially have Sunscreen in the car now!
I’m really appreciating these videos about hand care, mine get ignored dreadfully so this is just the nudge I need to make me take more care. I hate the age spots on the back of my hands (and elsewhere 😂) so I’m definitely going to get the Muji bottles and take SPF with me everywhere I go and I’m definitely going to get the Manisafe gloves or I will have to give up my very regular gel manicures and just get them occasionally. 😊
Yes you certainly can! 😂 not sure they would take to the dogs though. They do brighten my day when they get up to mischief on your videos. The dogs look out for them too!😂😂
I've had wrinkly hands my entire life, they get DRYYYYY, I struggle to keep up with moisturizing them, can't begin to think about potentially dewrinkling them (especially since I don't think that would even be possible for me anyway). No brown spots, though ☺️
Next product please a Dr Sams Handwash ???????????????? Until then im going to try cereve hydrating cleanser in the shower and for a Handwash, does this get your approval Dr Sam ? Have tried the cereve oil cleanser but so drying and it FOAMS ! X
Never thought about using non foaming cleanser for my hands. Sounds good but I am concerned about it not cleansing thoroughly. Will non foaming cleanser kill germs and bacteria??
I always put on my hands wot goes on my face but I have noticed over the last few weeks I have been getting little bumps on the back of my hands so something isn’t agreeing with them so it hand cream is needed 😱😊🥰
When did people notice the changes in their hands? Im 32 and noticed around my nails have changed. Look dry and wrickly. And ive got ridges in my nails recently and im freaked out! 😅
Just moisturize a lot, I find that it helps. I have to wash and sanitize so much 😩 because I’m a nurse. I really notice a difference tho when I moisturize often and like Dr. Sam said don’t use anything stripping. I don’t have OCD but I am little ocd 😬lol. I’m weird about germs. I’m 36 I don’t notice any premature aging BUT when my hands are dry they do LOOK older but as soon as I get them back moisturized properly they go back to normal. Hope this helps 🤗
@@Crystal0139 Moisturising throughout the day doesn’t align with my desire for clean hands as I feel they make my hands stickier but I do at night and layer up the petrolatum on top 😊
Basically whatever goes on my face, gets worked into my hands, and cream is always at hand, especially overnight. Also sunscreen. But I get the worst patches of eczema. It seems that excess moisture causes it, along with the hard water our well provides. No one product seems to solve this problem, just time away from water (washing, cleaning, etc.). Quite annoying.
@@DrSamBunting Yes I need to be more consistent with it. Sweat is just as bad it seems, so they have to be the right kind of gloves. Sometimes I layer cotton under latex.
This was not helpful as the first helpful ingredient was niacinamide? What is it and where do I get it? Then I need something to moisturize with. High SPF again recommendations? And I came here not as preventative (which I do by wearing gloves and moisturizing, but how do I get rid of the bruwn spots I have? Treatment. 😐
I am what ever I use on my face I put n my hands sun screen as well but hare I the thing I can't keep sun screen on them as putting in water takes it of gean so I moisturise wear cloves when I was up
Hello Dr, How can I repair damaged skin barrier caused by accutane and differin ? My skin is dry and not as bouncy and plump as it used to be. I lost a lot of face volume on my cheeks. I know this is due to the thinning of my moisture barrier and sebum reduction. What can I do to fix this (is it even fixable?) Will subum production eventually return ? My derm prescribed differin right after I stopped accutane. I believe this was a mistake. I used it for about 2 months when I should have left my skin to heal first and rebuild its stratum corneum. Can my skin regain its original thickness ? (I am only 20 years old but but look 10 years older) it's been almost 4 months post accutane
I use tretinoin and hydroquinone on the backs of my hands at night. I use lots of sunscreen on my hands during the day. Sun damage on the hands is so stubborn.
I still dont understand why we should use sunscreen every day in mid winter since where I live I dont usually even see any daylight in a normal day, just darkness. So should we protect ourselves from the sunlight coming from moon, or perhaps photons from other than stars other than the sun, light years away (closest star to sun is 4 light years away, so we would protect our skin from rays that was created at least 4 years ago, some stars are over13 billion light years away.. protect from it say I.. ..now thats extreme?)
